- Supporters of former Pakistani prime minister Imran Khan have clashed with security forces following his dramatic arrest on Tuesday. Khan was taken into custody during a court appearance in Islamabad on corruption charges. His detainment marks a dramatic escalation of political tensions in the country. Protests erupted in several cities across Pakistan, including Islamabad, Karachi, and Khan's hometown, Lahore.
Against the backdrop of a severe economic crisis, Khan remains influential. Across the country, people turned out in force to protest his arrest. If convicted, Imran Khan, by far the most popular opposition politician, will likely be prevented from running in the upcoming elections in November.

USA and west have been very vocal about the freedom of speech in Pakistan, wenever they felt that things r not going as per their will but wen a renowned Pakistani journalist Arshad Sharif was killed in Kenya recently, who was flying from country to country to save his life from these army generals, no international country said a word, because the govt. brought in to Pakistan was with the support of the west so now West doesn't care about any human rights and freedom of speech.
The simple solution to Pakistan's problem is to get rid off the Sharif and Zardari family from Pakistan politics once and for all and also including the corrupt army generals!

They instilled hatred in the subcontinent when they ruled us so that it's easier for them and avoid any kind of native uprising against them and now they lecture us about the issues which they have left us with. A stable pakistan without a war mongering army is actually a blessing for India. We can get a direct pipeline for Oil and you will get food supplies and other stuff which India has to offer. More trade, More prosperity. That's how Europe avoided WW3 after a very bloody WW2.

Before the law was that you pay 20% but he increased to 50% and then took it. What did he do with this money ? Made a road on it and fenced his home due to higher security risk to his life during his premiership. He didn’t want to use public fund.
