  • Named for its ease and quickness even while using all slip type stitches (give it a chance!) and born of my curiosity and a love for slip stitches that are easy & fast to work but still create a ‘knit-look’, I landed upon this stitch pattern while experimenting with different hook placements. I had done several of these beanies in one color and decided to try it in two colors and was blown away by the result. I shared it in a Facebook group and got such a huge reaction and many requests for a how-to, so here we are. I’m not a YT’er per se, honestly I don’t even care if you like or subscribe. I get great joy just from sharing my knowledge and seeing it put into action out there in the crochet community. This video has all the elements you need to create one of your own, except stitch/row counts for different sizes.
HERE ARE MY NUMBERS FOR REFERENCE: the completed full size beanies in the thumbnail picture were made with worsted weight yarn using a 5.5 mm hook and are 53sts from top to brim for 68 rows and is joined using a mattress stitch, which leaves a nearly invisible join. They measure 21” circ and are 11” tall.
I hope you love working this pattern as much as I do! Enjoy! ❤️R
