hey guys, i totally appreciate all the comments and support that this video is getting, but please tone down all the hate comments, whether its towards the devs or other creators. you are ALL entitled to your own opinion and i totally respect however you feel, but spreading hate in the comments isnt the right way to go about it. i should have started the video with saying this but i didnt think about it beforehand. i dont want to make any enemies in this game and i try to make sure i dont ruin things by being as clear as i possibly can when i make critical videos like this.

I gave you the reasons why I think Darkrai would not be broken in pve, and all you did was saying that this was a good idea from the devs (like you always do, sucking up to them) but you gave 0 reasons. 1 hour a week is a joke, and with the amount of people upset Ive seen I would say this is a fact, this was bad implemented. And dont come to me with that thing of "you are sick of people having different opinions as you" because I saw you banning people from your channel the first day of the event just because they told you that there wasnt anything new in this event. Few comments: Pumpking bags are doing exactly the same thing they always do, idk who told you it's different. Last year they crashed to like 25-30k even with having to figure out a new boss. I'm still grinding bags and it's still some of the best money in the game. Even at bottom price. I'm glad the Pumpking wasn't changed, but I benefit directly from that. In previous years they only tweaked it to make it harder, and in my opinion it was really annoying. I def understand being frustrated at the lack of innovation. I think SO MANY people are taking Parke out of context, he was chatting with his team about how he thinks it's going to impact the game a lot, and be a good update. And because Pat saw that and got excited about the event, a ton of people started saying "Devs are promising the BIGGEST AND BEST event ever!" I have always hated strings so I'm psyched they are being standardized. Eggs are totally different and way faster. From shunters it's a lot better. I'm just glad I can read the game again. Having blank text to be "efficient" is so annoying for me. I think people complaining about strings are misplaced entirely. We got a ton of great vanities and the Ultra Rare is actually desirable, so a huge upgrade on last year. Raids were a ton of fun but there was no reward that I cared about, it's unfortunate. It's also just another test, maybe we get a good reward with the full release. But I was really disappointed that it's just a test. I also think Lunar New Year raids were better. Main issue for me is not respecting players time. What is the point of making content like that for you to be able to play for a week. Why is the raid going away? Why do we spend more time trying to get rental Darkai then using it?Why not let ppl who got it rerun after the event is over. How many % of the playerbase will even get Darkrai in this timeframe. He has a degree in Yappanese, but rarely knows the full story or has full knowledge of the things he's yapping about. Nicely speaking, he's just very average at PvE, below average at PvP and honestly not the greatest shunter either, despite shunting being, like, half his brand. He has 8000+ hours and has less shinies than a ton of people with less than half his time. The math just isn't mathing for me. Don't get me started on his takes on matters regarding the economy, I would be here all day. Why are so many people taking his word as gospel? Why does a casual with a lukewarm understanding of most aspects of the game get to represent the whole community? I don't trust him to know what's good for the game, because by default everything in the game is great and the devs can almost do no wrong. And it's well deserved, because he put out a lot of videos on topics for noobs. I started playing this game because one of his videos introduced me to pokemmo and it looked fun. However, for veterans the only value his videos provide is entertainment and staying up to date with pokemmo news through his stream recaps if you don't stay in touch on discords or the forums. At some point all players graduate from Patrouski videos. Play a while longer and now you know better than him. New player guides, breaking news and hanging with the community is his niche and I'm happy for him. Genuinely. He worked hard and long to get where he is and it shows, but I do think he wears his past achievements and his helpfulness to newcomers as a sort of shield against criticism, similarly to how big creators like MrBeast wear their philanthropy on their sleeves to ward off any negative comments people may have against them. I think he has gotten too big for his britches and the influence he can wield now. He's gotten so used to the glazing and the positive echo chamber that he's built around himself that he can't see that what he's doing is not good for the game. Unconditional glazing only reinforces that everything is fine and that things in the game don't need to change, even when they SO DESPERATELY do need to change. Patrouski has some sort of agenda. I don't know what it is, but it doesn't seem to align with myself or the average veteran player, let alone anyone outside of his niche, aka PvP' ers. That, combined with the misinformation, the "toxic positivity', the constant lukewarm takes on topics he is not knowledable enough in to give takes on, the hypocrisy of being able to dish out criticism but not being able to take it etc. etc. disqualifies him as "the face of pokemmo' in my eyes, yet that's what he is and his army of Patrouski and Team MR fanboys make it very hard to speak out without getting a bunch of hate. Just look at how all these streamers always TIPTOE so hard whenever they're about to speak negatively about Pat. They're audibly squirming and that should be proof enough that there's truth to what I'm saying. Let's also not forget the Epok situation either, the team MR crusade in his comments section was insane..... and that's what you have to look forward to if you say stuff the Team MR and Patrouski sphere doesn't like. Anyway, forgot why I even typed up this rant. Most of you won't even get this far, but shoutout to the real ones that do o7 This has been my TED talk.
i dont think him being the "face of the game" is very correct, after all this game is quite small in english speaking areas compared to asia and maybe even south america (not 100% on that) that being said i dont think him being such a big personality is a bad thing either, he is a good guy but as i said in the video i just disagree with how he is so adamant on certain things that i think are big issues

Really wish I had exact numbersfor the Chinese and Latin playerbase, because all we got is guesstimations. Totally agree! 2 yrs ago when he was just getting started he used to pump out so much misinformation in his videos about cooldowns, catch locations, abilities etc. despite having thousands of hrs and when i called him out on that by asking to do research before uploading, he banned me from everywhere lmao. Not to mention his raid guides(?) are nothing but 3 other youtubers babysitting him.
I prepared for a year, but I can't complete most raids cause nobody has the right team in randoms. It would have been cool to have 2 difficulties. One "easy" for solo queue, and a hard one for the premade groups... I'll be on my game boy for a while
Im sure this content has been great for anyone that hasn't played any of the events so far but when its same stuff different year but more RNG applied and less rewarding for your hardwork the community would get discouraged quickly especially older players such as myself. I've spoken on it a few times now how to fix pvp and knock off buff would be a good start regardless of what people might fear. Good points on the video, still got it across regardless!
I personally did like the event. It was engaging enough for me to be content. However, I’m saying this as a player who was not able to fully participate in last years event and do wisps, pumpcat and even pumpking. Raids being introduced earlier this year and still being introduced to the seasonal events is cool and seeing some changes to make it feel like a raid is also cool but solo queuing was absolutely abysmal and still sets a negative impression on me. Rewards for the raid so far need to be improved because the amount of investment needed for entry makes it not worth the hassle. I agree fully that the game is full of potential and I do want it to succeed but lack of communication and witnessing the neglect of the pvp community sets a bad precendent for the future. Perhaps maybe we are to critical of their choices and sometimes even come off as tantrum throwing children but I’d much rather hear reasoning and explanation than nothing. maybe this is why they are silent.

I love this game and dont want to be a debbie downer on it, but it seems to be a consistent theme with the devs that rewards are extremely underwhelming when compared to effort put in to achieve them. I think better rewards would make everything feel better. I wish they would come up with better reward systems. The first event I played was Christmas last year and I absolutely grinded for a wishing stone and have been upset about it ever since, and now fully expect it to be a mediocre reward
I liked most of the event, they gave us so many things to do and ways to make money, it rarely felt boring cuz you could switch between fighting Pumpking, cathcing swarms, doing raids, hunting for pumpcat and so on. But i REALLY hate that they gave basically now new HA except for scolipede and when they showed the final reward for raids i was asking myself why i even bothered doing the raids on multiple accounts. Rental Ubers suck and i dont think ill ever use it.

I think the summon system works well for the long term based on the perception of your average player. Since if Darkrai is permanent. Everyone would be using Darkrai all the time. So by having a summon system. They'll bring all these legendaries without worrying players to just keep spamming legendaries on literally anything. But yeah. Its frustrating that it only stays for 2 hours and cd of 4 days. But if they keep dropping new summons. We can just keep switching instead. Not a bad deal for the long term. But still yeah. The hate is understandable. They pretty much only did this to keep players to keep playing and grinding.

I think you verbalized your perspective super well smooge and it sucks that so many people feel so bad about the game right now and i definitely want people to feel heard. I always try to stay positive without it being toxic positivity cuz i 1 million percent agree "good vibes only" people suck and don't address problems. I have problems with the game like mysterious balls, Dev communication, lack of end game PvM content (raids fixing this hopefully), lack of rewards for certain systems (PVP LOL), Lack of PVP Tiers, etc. I think a lot of people have problems with things that i actually think are good for the game, like the 20/80 horde split, temporary owned uber legendaries, etc. Which is all super fair. But my point is that sometimes people want me to complain more and they think that it will help the game, but in reality what helps the game is to make a productive video a few times addressing the situation critically and fairly (like spidget with heatran) and move on. I think constantly complaining about the negatives just drags the community down and makes people feel like the game is worse than it actually is when we could just as easily be focusing on the positives. I FEEL like a lot of people in the community right now are CHOOSING to focus on negatives when there are just as many positives to focus on. TLDR: Im bummed people feel bad about the game and those feelings are valid, but i want to encourage positive change for the game via critique while also being positive about whats in the game currently (unless things get REALLY bad and is like on the road to death, which ive seen in the past and can confirm we are the furthest thing from it). BIG FAN OF YOU AND SPIDGET even if we disagree on many things, you both are always great in making your points and arguments fairly. Much love to yall, im gonna go watch my ravens lose :(

And it's well deserved, because he put out a lot of videos on topics for noobs. I started playing this game because one of his videos introduced me to pokemmo and it looked fun. However, for veterans the only value his videos provide is entertainment and staying up to date with pokemmo news through his stream recaps if you don't stay in touch on discords or the forums. At some point all players graduate from Patrouski videos. Play a while longer and now you know better than him.
New player guides, breaking news and hanging with the community is his niche and I'm happy for him. Genuinely. He worked hard and long to get where he is and it shows, but I do think he wears his past achievements and his helpfulness to newcomers as a sort of shield against criticism, similarly to how big creators like MrBeast wear their philanthropy on their sleeves to ward off any negative comments people may have against them. I think he has gotten too big for his britches and the influence he can wield now. He's gotten so used to the glazing and the positive echo chamber that he's built around himself that he can't see that what he's doing is not good for the game. Unconditional glazing only reinforces that everything is fine and that things in the game don't need to change, even when they SO DESPERATELY do need to change.
Patrouski has some sort of agenda. I don't know what it is, but it doesn't seem to align with myself or the average veteran player, let alone anyone outside of his niche, aka PvP' ers. That, combined with the misinformation, the "toxic positivity', the constant lukewarm takes on topics he is not knowledable enough in to give takes on, the hypocrisy of being able to dish out criticism but not being able to take it etc. etc. disqualifies him as "the face of pokemmo' in my eyes, yet that's what he is and his army of Patrouski and Team MR fanboys make it very hard to speak out without getting a bunch of hate. Just look at how all these streamers always TIPTOE so hard whenever they're about to speak negatively about Pat. They're audibly squirming and that should be proof enough that there's truth to what I'm saying. Let's also not forget the Epok situation either, the team MR crusade in his comments section was insane..... and that's what you have to look forward to if you say stuff the Team MR and Patrouski sphere doesn't like.

i dont think him being the "face of the game" is very correct, after all this game is quite small in english speaking areas compared to asia and maybe even south america (not 100% on that)
that being said i dont think him being such a big personality is a bad thing either, he is a good guy but as i said in the video i just disagree with how he is so adamant on certain things that i think are big issues
@@Smooge BIG TRUE actually. It's just for the English speaking community (which does encompass most of EU as well). Really wish I had exact numbersfor the Chinese and Latin playerbase, because all we got is guesstimations.
Edit: Also, makes you wonder who the Chinese Pat is and how he feels and talks about the game. That guy must have actual power over how the game is developped, cause Asians in Asia are big spenders. Gacha game makers love Asia, because spending money on microtransaction is so culturally accepted there.
Totally agree! 2 yrs ago when he was just getting started he used to pump out so much misinformation in his videos about cooldowns, catch locations, abilities etc. despite having thousands of hrs and when i called him out on that by asking to do research before uploading, he banned me from everywhere lmao. Not to mention his raid guides(?) are nothing but 3 other youtubers babysitting him.

I prepared for a year, but I can't complete most raids cause nobody has the right team in randoms. It would have been cool to have 2 difficulties. One "easy" for solo queue, and a hard one for the premade groups... I'll be on my game boy for a while
Im sure this content has been great for anyone that hasn't played any of the events so far but when its same stuff different year but more RNG applied and less rewarding for your hardwork the community would get discouraged quickly especially older players such as myself. I've spoken on it a few times now how to fix pvp and knock off buff would be a good start regardless of what people might fear.

I personally did like the event. It was engaging enough for me to be content. However, I’m saying this as a player who was not able to fully participate in last years event and do wisps, pumpcat and even pumpking. Raids being introduced earlier this year and still being introduced to the seasonal events is cool and seeing some changes to make it feel like a raid is also cool but solo queuing was absolutely abysmal and still sets a negative impression on me. Rewards for the raid so far need to be improved because the amount of investment needed for entry makes it not worth the hassle.
I agree fully that the game is full of potential and I do want it to succeed but lack of communication and witnessing the neglect of the pvp community sets a bad precendent for the future. Perhaps maybe we are to critical of their choices and sometimes even come off as tantrum throwing children but I’d much rather hear reasoning and explanation than nothing. maybe this is why they are silent.
@Smooge , the main reason they don’t update the game much it there scared of lawsuits they might not say anything about it so rumors don’t start but that has to 100% it
I love this game and dont want to be a debbie downer on it, but it seems to be a consistent theme with the devs that rewards are extremely underwhelming when compared to effort put in to achieve them. I think better rewards would make everything feel better. I wish they would come up with better reward systems. The first event I played was Christmas last year and I absolutely grinded for a wishing stone and have been upset about it ever since, and now fully expect it to be a mediocre reward
I liked most of the event, they gave us so many things to do and ways to make money, it rarely felt boring cuz you could switch between fighting Pumpking, cathcing swarms, doing raids, hunting for pumpcat and so on. But i REALLY hate that they gave basically now new HA except for scolipede and when they showed the final reward for raids i was asking myself why i even bothered doing the raids on multiple accounts. Rental Ubers suck and i dont think ill ever use it.

Darkrai surely better than Hydreigon in PVP, considering coverage and speed mostly. It would also have a very strong use against Red.

I think the summon system works well for the long term based on the perception of your average player.
Since if Darkrai is permanent. Everyone would be using Darkrai all the time. So by having a summon system. They'll bring all these legendaries without worrying players to just keep spamming legendaries on literally anything.
But yeah. Its frustrating that it only stays for 2 hours and cd of 4 days.
But if they keep dropping new summons. We can just keep switching instead. Not a bad deal for the long term.
But still yeah. The hate is understandable. They pretty much only did this to keep players to keep playing and grinding.

I think you verbalized your perspective super well smooge and it sucks that so many people feel so bad about the game right now and i definitely want people to feel heard. I always try to stay positive without it being toxic positivity cuz i 1 million percent agree "good vibes only" people suck and don't address problems. I have problems with the game like mysterious balls, Dev communication, lack of end game PvM content (raids fixing this hopefully), lack of rewards for certain systems (PVP LOL), Lack of PVP Tiers, etc. I think a lot of people have problems with things that i actually think are good for the game, like the 20/80 horde split, temporary owned uber legendaries, etc. Which is all super fair.
But my point is that sometimes people want me to complain more and they think that it will help the game, but in reality what helps the game is to make a productive video a few times addressing the situation critically and fairly (like spidget with heatran) and move on. I think constantly complaining about the negatives just drags the community down and makes people feel like the game is worse than it actually is when we could just as easily be focusing on the positives. I FEEL like a lot of people in the community right now are CHOOSING to focus on negatives when there are just as many positives to focus on.
TLDR: Im bummed people feel bad about the game and those feelings are valid, but i want to encourage positive change for the game via critique while also being positive about whats in the game currently (unless things get REALLY bad and is like on the road to death, which ive seen in the past and can confirm we are the furthest thing from it). BIG FAN OF YOU AND SPIDGET even if we disagree on many things, you both are always great in making your points and arguments fairly. Much love to yall, im gonna go watch my ravens lose :(
