The purpose of the brides dress is not to make mum happy but to make the bride happy, comfortable, and confident.

The first dress looked best on her. Her entourage was right about it bringing in her waist more. It looked more sophisticated than dress #2. I didn't get the excitement about the 3rd dress. It lacked bust support.
Maybe when they fit it to her body (I assume this was a basic sample), they’ll deal with the issues around the arm, shoulder, bust area. First dress was indeed the best.
Exactly ! These dresses made her chest look enormous.. you have to have an extremely small chest to be able to carry off such low-cut dresses.. a big bust size just looks like “ ready to fall out”…
I think they're going to fix that

That first dress is absolutely beautiful

The chosen dress just had too much going on.
I think that the entourage did their very best to be supportive of her. When she came out in the second dress, they did their best to be gentle with their feedback, they told her that she looked lovely, but they couldn't lie to her and say that they preferred it, when their emotions clearly showed otherwise. In the end, they supported her choice, even though it wasn't technically a princess dress. She really did look stunning in the first and third dresses.

Thank you! That's exactly what I was thinking. I don't like it when I hear that from the entourage, "I want" "we want" "the groom wants"... Pff! The only thing that should matter is what the bride wants.

It was also Essence of Australia. 1899 pounds or so. The dress wasn't as floaty as the brode wanted. It also had a deep V neckline.
The third dress, the one she chose, was also Essence of Australia for 2,000 pounds. It was much more ornate and a modest neckline.
I loved the second dress. This is why I shopped for my dress alone - it's not about anyone else.
The first dress was perfect and the third dress felt perfect for the bride.

It's not four against one, you're the bride, you're wearing the dress and you have to love it. The other voices can have an impact but they don't have the same impact as the bride's voice.
The first one was much better for her body type
I don't know how the brunette friend could think it was ok or any loving to say that comment about the bride's waist in the dress she loved the way she said it. i hope watching how much she broke her heart when watching what happened upstairs in the video she realized how long of way spitting two words these can go in someone's heart, especially if it's a friend that you know has a hard time accepting herself, has worked hard to get there and is in one of the most beautiful, most fragile moments of her life that she will remember evert second of forever.
What bothers me about this mother and entourage was that no one even smiled when she came out in the second dress.
All these dresses are so gorgeous. Unlike some of the US dresses.
I think the dress she picked is stunning on her. The only slight negative for me is I think the dress is cut too low in the front but other than that it is beautiful.

The mother is supposed to be there for her daughter. Trying on wedding dresses is emotional for brides. Mom's need to ask how SHE (bride) feels in the dress and whether or not if it's THE one.
The entourage was right though, the second dress was boring

They actually did not react badly... They were kind in how they said she looked better in the first dress, which she did! But the 3rd dress was a knockout and really suited her!

This will be an unpopular opinion but sometimes your family knows that you are going safe due to your insecurities and can do much much better. The dress the bride picked herself was a big no, I liked the 1st and 3rd.
