Any special tools besides snap ring pliers that’s needed
Just the snap ring pliers, and possibly something to heat the rotor with if it is stuck.

@@135-j once the locking hub assembly is removed, there is only the snap ring on the axle stub

You need the tool to reset the vacuum seal. If your going that far might as well replace seals and U Joint.
