Great work, thank you so much man. This is the exact tutorial I have been looking for. Clear explanations with use cases for different workflows. Now what if I wanted to separate the midi out so I can change the pattern? Just separate by note pitch?
Hey man. Amazing tutorial, just what I needed as I just purchased Addictive. I do have one question. How do you go about exporting these separate tracks into audio files? So I could basically treat the tracks as I would for regular recorded drums?
That’s a good question. I’ve only done it like once before. You might be able to multi-out, create the tracks in the main window and then highlight them and export tracks as audio files (command + e)
@@woodyardmusic You’re probably so right. I found a video of someone doing that with Modern & Massive. Should be the same procedure with any multi-output software. I do though, remember a few years ago, I could bounce everything inside the project and not having to export to then drag and drop, I’ll have to look into that again.
Off the top of my head, I think you need to bounce the tracks in place, then export them. I’ve had a couple people ask so I’ll try to do a follow up video sometime soon!
Great video but I'm still confused about recording those multi-out drums in logic. Everything is routed in AD and logic as per your video but once I'm done with FX, how do I get this audio into logic? Dragging the wav icon in the bottom left ends up exporting a completely different drum pattern. Thank you.
@@paulmenezes9572 yeah forget the little wav icon, that just does the last 15 seconds of drums or something like that. Let me look into this and get back to you, a couple people have asked about this.
