This was such a moment, the way we gasped when we saw him, but more importantly we saw how genuine he is once again. He's just such a lovely person and it was moving to see it at an event like this. That moment with Jaari finished me though I was in pieces haha it was so touching. I was crying and sighing like a little girl in love the whole night, so full of pride and head over heals. I was wondering that too, and I guess many finnish fans were 😅 But after seeing him going alone, it makes perfect sense. I don't even think you could just take whoever you want, at least it basically always seems to be partners, or some younger relatives for elderly people. And many people do go alone, so it is not anything uncommon. I like his reasoning that he is alone in representing Käärijä, so that is why he is doing this stuff alone and keeping others away from the spotlight.

But as the commenter below says, you can't bring a GF, it has to be a wife. I actually wondered if he would bring his grandad or grandma. @@nian60 Not true the gf part. Mr. Hjallis Harkimo was in the event with his girlfriend (less time together than Jere and her gf) and many more people too, unmarried couples. Usually the rule is that the invitation must contain both names, so if The Office of the President of the Republic of Finland does not know for sure whos name to write, they don’t put it in the invitation. So it is totally Jeres own choice that he did not want her on display, not yet anyway.

There are very strict rules who you come with. If you're married you go both, but just a girlfriend can't come.
