Kiitos paljon for translating this 💚 Absolutely loved the UMK theatrical performance but also so much respect for Käärijä and Erika for addressing cyberbullying and online harassment in the official video ♥ nobody should be judged for their body, looks, weight etc., as Käärijä said - hopefully someday this world will be a better place, but for now all I have to say is - f**k the haters!! Love Ruoska ♥♥
Thank you ! Wonderful interview. I knew it would be about this, since I felt like they are perfect complementary to each other and they have a similar output, and some people just don't like it. 🤷♀️ But as soon as I saw them doing a song together I felt exactly like Erika explained here "God exists" 😅
That's always the problem 😅 I mean, luckily I speak finnish, but I always watch these videos because I want to see it like through the eyes of those who don't, and I go into them thinking that "Now I will read all the subtitles!". After a few minutes I realise all I have been doing is staring at his face and reading his facial expressions! 😄 Luckily these videos can be watched over and over again 😅
When Käärijä talked about finding it a bit hard to find compatible people to collaborate with in Finland ... I hope he'll consider doing more collabs in other countries, too (like he already has with the plait guy from Estonia). Personally, I'd love him to do something with last year's German representatives at Eurovision - Lord of the Lost. I voted for both Käärijä and LOTL at Eurovision 😃. I know he's a big Rammstein fan and all that, but I don't think that's going to happen (age-gap and they're not really the collaborative types, AFAIK) ... and, yes, I have got into Rammstein since last Spring due to K's raving about them ... but I've got into LOTL a lot more! They are really nice guys (their "TV of the Lost" tour vlogs on UA-cam demonstrate that well), have a long track record with collaborating with other artists, plus their range of music is so diverse they are bound to have some musical tastes in common with K. Of course, LOTL covered Cha Cha Cha even before the contest happened, which was jaw-dropping (and brilliantly done), so they are big admirers of his ... Germany is K's fave foreign country ... LOTL adore Finland (visited 4 times last year and recorded their Blood and Glitter album there) ... it's meant to be! Also, this year Lord of the Lost are celebrating 15 years together and have toured extensively for years in both Europe and elsewhere (a USA tour is happening in the Autumn), so they have a wealth of tour venue knowledge which K and his team could tap into. Only down-side .... I run the risk of spontaneously combusting with joy if it ever happened!
Update: Just watched a Twitch Q&A with Klaas from LOTL from earlier this month (now on UA-cam): Q: Is there a Eurovision artist you feel a special connection with? A: Yes - Käärijä, actually. Yeah, he’s the one that represents my heart and soul of Eurovision the most.
Hmm, so what was the other mystery song that they were first going to do at UMK? 👀 Was it a song we already know, or a new song? 🤔 What a shame the interviewer didn't ask. Thanks for the translation. 😊

Yeah, I would also love to see some international collabs, and I could see Käärijä-Lord of the lost collab happening! 🤩

i'd assume an old one, bc they didnt do this song (ruoska) originally for the umk
My guess is it might have been a new one. The new album coming and all that…
@@kaarijasupporters Yeah. It could have been either.
@@fipix6143 Yeah, Ruoska was recorded months before, AFAIK.
