As long as the Cougs mentality get past the Boise State cobwebs the wind is at our back. The Cougs have the tools to finish strong. Given everything that has happened, Crimson and Gray has never looked better.
Last week: Dylan H "bench Mateer, put in Eckhaus." Every other Cougar fan who understands the game of football: "bro, what??" This week: 4th most efficient game by a Cougar QB in WSU history Dylan H "we just need him to be a game manager." 🙄
@@TheCouchGMHey what's up with John Matteer and coach Jake Dickert after the game in the tunnel some heated 🥵 words between them. Theirs a video on this after the San Diego State game. Hopefully they borh get over it?
Realistically, our floor is the Alamo Bowl. Theres no way another Pac-12 team gets to 10 wins to surpass WSU at 11-1/10-2, and Oregon will obviously be in the CFP. I still think theres a realistic chance for the Cougs to get into the CFP at 11-1, but its Alamo at worst. Pretty amazing. As for Dickert & Mateer, I think its a pretty low chance we lose both. We may lose 1 after 2025 - likely Mateer - but id be shocked if Dickert leaves before 2027
You guys are downers. Jake and his family are in Pullman to stay. I guess it's possible John could leave, I hope not. I think John likes his teammates a lot.
We’re just being real. John is going to do what’s best for him, and so will Jake. We hope it means they stay for a bit, but college football is a lot about $ now
@@TheCouchGMI can appreciate your position. All pundits should strive to "be real." Clearly I believe you've missed the boat here. I can comment deeply on this subject because I spent years as a coach at a lower level. In my time there are two types of coaches; do this or sit on the bench coach, or players' coach, where we take the player under our wing and try to push him in the right direction, let him find himself. There's a deep kinship between player and coach. I've watched Jake from the very beginning when he took over from Rolo. Jake is a players coach. One thing you may not have considered in your opinion. Players coaches are all about family. The team is a family. Jake has little kids on the Palouse. He and his wife have planted themselves here. You'll never get me to believe he would just uproot them for money. He's not that type. Next let's talk about the portal whores. Last year I had season tickets, 10th row from the ground right behind the WSU bench. I saw all the interactions between quarterback and coach. The tight connection was not there. I don't believe John would abandon us. But of course with all the money it's possible. He's young. We only have like 10 backup quarterbacks on the roster right now. I don't worry too much about the portal any longer. It's always next guy up. But as far as coaches go, Jake is family.
Please force Danny O'Neil to pass The Aztecs offense actually looks good when it goes pass first. Their problem is Lewis playing Daddy Ball with Marquez Cooper.

Back up the brinks truck for Mateer and Dickert.
Really hope we see them for next year, at least.
