    Once you wash the eggs they have to be refrigerated because washing removes the protective coating on the shell.

    More farms should do regenerative farming. This type of farming is a great deal of work but worthwhile for animals and humans.

    We’ve been building our homestead slowly. Great tip on the preparing for winter by getting rid of some animals. Hay has gone up. We’ve even noticed the price increase on pine shavings for the chickens the past month. We are hopefully getting some sheep by next month, so definitely something to consider come next winter. Thanks!

    To keep the smell down even more in the winter coop, you should mix the wood chips with biochar or potash.

    Wow, very impressed with this video and farm! Really well done. How is the grain tube on the roof protected from rain and birds, and still be accessible to the feed trailer’s auger pipe?

    This is amazing. I love that they use a deep litter system for the layers and not battery cages. Free range farming. I Currently use a deep litter system for mine.
