Me and my husband just celebrated our 2 year anniversary yesterday but we have been together for 20 years. We didn't move in together until 5 years together.
I guess you know it’s the good one when, after sex, you still want to stay together for dinner and it goes on so simply that you feel like you know each other for a long time.
Well that was fun! The two of you appear to be such a great couple it was nice to hear you interact and discuss personal and couple info. Some blanks filled in on how you interact. I'm an old man who has been through 3 major relationships, one for 8 years ending in tragedy, the second we were drifting apart after 14 years together and in an effort to continue respecting one another broke up; the third is now in its 24th year, we married 3 years ago, and we're both retired but all these relations were cored in our mutual respect. I get the sense of your mutual respect and sense a life time relationship in the making for you. Thanks for sharing!
I get the vibe Max would be more into an open relationship esp when said he wouldn't mind if Andres wanted to sleep with others. Randomly I hope they don't have an open relationship or monogamous as I love them as a couple ❤
Thanks so much for sharing. I loved this, so nice to hear honest answers and how to have a healthier relationship. So true on checking in with each other. Xo
This was super fun, thanks for sharing! Does make me sad that so many people are obsessed with the 'top or bottom' question though. You wouldn't ask most straight couples what they get up to in the bedroom.
I've been in open relationships before and though I am still friends with several of them, it didn't seem sustainable long term. I'm trying to date one person (long distance) just to have things less complicated. I don't have super negative things to say about my two eras of poly/open relationships except I feel like I ended up being set aside easily for new folks which did have an impact.
Another great post. Thanks for sharing so much about yourselves, your relationship, etc. Most of the questions (beyond the unnecessary Top/Bottom inquiries) seem to speak to an interest in ...curiosity(?) about long term gay relationships. Again thanks sharing.... for spreading good vibes. P. S. I wired you guys a $1Million to your bank account in Lagos, Nigeria last year when you were being held hostage after your safari trip AND I never even received a thank you note!
Max, I can't believe you're talking to your fiancé, Andres about polyamory, breakups and love at first sight on your podcast of this video including relationship AMA, so I'm proud of you for being my inspiration, ever!! 😮😮😮
I interpreted their answer for this question and the one before that have an open relationships sexually, but not romantically. He asked "Do you have a polyamorous relationship?" Max clarified and said "I wouldn't call it love"; then he said "Do have open relationships?" and the answer was "Not to the public", meaning it's not any of our business, but they way they responded here implied one or both of them have sex with other people.
Reverse Dates, ah , that's a nice way of putting it. But yes, historically, I have hooked up with a guy & only then, once I know we're compatable with our pants off, will i then consider starting a relationship with them. It's usually, "ok, well that was fun, what;s your name", because there's no point asking if they weren't good enough for me to want to go there again. So, I get what you mean. - Vers, "to varying capacities", ok, until you said that I had not even thought about that, now I'm curious who's more often the bottom, although, it's none of our business. - LOLs, I'm immensely alergic to cats too, so I can relate to that too.
I'm not sure if there is love at first sight. I have heard people say that they have fallen in love with someone at first sight. I think in reality a person needs to get to know another person well before love comes into it. Sure there is attraction , and those feelings can be strong , but getting to know each other is very important.
Max, it's not weird to call oneself a pet parent. You are 100% responsible for the life of a vulnerable being that cannot take care of themselves. You feed them, bathe them, house them,, make sure they get medical care, and most of all you are there source of love and safety. Being related by blood or species does not make one a parent. It's the care and love you give, the same as found family. Being a parent isn't something to be gatekept by those who choose to reproduce or adopt humans. By choice or circumstance, pets are sometimes the only or most reliable family a person may have-and considering the love you have shown for your own Sarge, I find it weird that you aren't accepting how some choose to define parenthood in their families. Your biggest peeve is people being mean to animals, but it seems that in some way you still have the hubris of thinking that human/human relationships are somehow more valid than human/animal? Think about it, please.
You're reaching. I can call someone who owns a pet as a caretaker and not a parent and you could disagree with me and there no real authority behind that distinction apart from the legal reality that, in this country, pets are property with variable amounts of "rights" precisely because they are not people. The phrase "pet parent" is an analogy to the official definition of a parent which is someone raising a child. "Your biggest peeve is people being mean to animals, but it seems that in some way you still have the hubris of thinking that human/human relationships are somehow more valid than human/animal?" All that aside, you're giving a beautiful example of justifying why he's unsure about that terminology lmao
By the way the circumcision debate, not bowing to religious practice is not islamophobia or antisemitism, it’s secularism which btw is what the US was founded on before that all went wrong ! Female genital mutilation for religious reasons is outlawed in the Western world but not male. I have been uncircumcised and circumcised and let me tell you the former is much much better !
No to circumcising at birth. Put $100 aside each year until the boy is 18. He can make an informed decision to get the surgery or not with the money saved.
It's after you complete the candy store phase. You want to be with the person you're with not wanting to leave. Actions speak louder than "I love you". Wanting to tell yoiur partner you're going to be late and where you're going. Don't disrespect your promises to your partner.
OMG! I came out 60 years ago. I can't believe this juvenile prattle passes for a pertinent conversation on navigating gay relationships. Give it a rest Nancy!
My understanding was that circumcision was a Jewish theory. People wouldn't be productive because they couldn't stop masterbating so snip snip walaa productivity.
Andres always has a subtle mischievous look on his face. I love it.
Me and my husband just celebrated our 2 year anniversary yesterday but we have been together for 20 years. We didn't move in together until 5 years together.
I love that the first word of the title is only addressed for 29 seconds 😂
I have been routing for you two for a long long time. You guys have are such a great example humans loving each other
I guess you know it’s the good one when, after sex, you still want to stay together for dinner and it goes on so simply that you feel like you know each other for a long time.
I clicked because I read "Polyamory Break Ups" and thought that it was about drama. I stayed because this was really good!
Real ones remember the boyfriend AMA video they did in the kiddie pool like 8 years ago

Do you have any relationship advice for those of us seeking a long term monogamous relationship?
You two are great together. Really looking forward to your official wedding 💒

What does open relationship but not in public mean?

We just celebrated our 30th Christmas together.

As for "tradition" - Max, go revisit "Fiddler On The Roof".

@@justascomplicated8182 oh look, it's the speciesist edgelord-what took you so long?

I find it interesting, too, that's it's "my body, my choice". Until we talk about circumcising. Then it becomes " it's your body, but my choice"

Also love how you answered the top/bottom question. Too much bottom shading 🍑

Give it a rest Nancy!
"Acts of service" lol Can read a lot into that.
Never get this open relationship thingy.
Where should we be paying attention to try to get a question into the next AMA?
Sounds like a healthy relationship and one that they both work on to make so. Groovy!
Great... Fun... Good time.
Just sharing: common law is not a thing, everyone thinks it is, but I learned that during my divorce.
Weddings in Mexico are cheaper, sunnier and are midway between Colombia, L.A. and NY... just saying.
Open relationships = Single
Lmao well done
Dudes, Just Wrestle!
Stop Mutilation ✊🏻 !
If I was Andrés, I would be pissed to be called undress every time.
Cuties

I H8 when people say pet/dog/cat parents, but not as cringe and disgusting as "fur babies" which makes me gag
Love to see these guys sell this message in the Middle East.....or even Dearborn, MI.......good luck ladies!
Guys, I cant believe it's been 9 years!
