Wow I hope the church is still there I remember having gym class in the basement of that church with my class and running laps around it. Beautiful building.

i go to this school, honestly are school tried to keep that church alive we did everything, i had my first Eucharist there and it was great, now im in the seventh grade and knowing it has lots of mold because it costed are school lots of, and lets just say we aren't the richest school we aren't the biggest school, and we aren't the best school, we are just a school, we do what ever we can. Now are priest, and principle are leaving and im going to be sad because we had a great principle and a great priest, but now they have to go :( I love st. nicks GO EAGLES, that's are team name for Cross country, Basket ball, and Volley ball. well now you know more about what my school has to do through

Within a year or two of moving to Gig Harbor in the middle 80's I met Clara McCabe a Spadoni. She told me how hard she fought to keep the old church from being torn down. Her picture hung or hangs (not sure if it's still there) in the old church. It would be an atrocity if it were to be demolished! I pray it will not be!!

My wife and rented this church and got married in it in 1989. Other than the boards in the window it's just how I remember it.

This is a very sad story, history apparently is not meaningfull, our only goal, the way I and my friends see it, money, money and more money, plus stories, lots of
stories, historical values are nothing. For the children of St. Nicholas School it could be treasured as an Icon, a place to celebrate history and faith. For that you need an Administration that cares and loves childrens.
