It reminds me of a later band called the Inmates of the late 70’s and early 80’s. Very cool song though for a Garage Band.

      Ya wanna know sumthin"?
She ain't so bad after all.
They sound a wee bit like the Nashville Teens.
They had the hit cover of "Tobacco Road" in "64.
Rog, many many moons ago, before they put a man on the moon, I thought they were an American garage band from Nashville, Tennessee.
I didn't know they were from your side of the pond.

      What year was it released?
If it's the same song, "Sugar On Sunday" was a Tommy James and the Shondells original, released in 1969.
Have you heard of a Texas garage band called The Clique?
They had a 1969 song titled
      "Superman"
R.E.M. had a hit with it in 1986.

I don't know why but I hear sort of a Who vibe in this record.

Slightly primitive-sounding garage as we hear from other bands produced by Larry Page such as The Troggs. Pretty good, though!
