To make the maths even easier
Subtract, after dealing the first 1-6 cards those from 32
When dealing the cards until they say stop, count down from that number to get the result.

I hate the "everyone think of the card" and "I'm gonna read your mind now" presentation B.S. Even children know it's just a "find the card" trick like hundreds of others. The more chances the magician has to spot the card, the less impressive the trick is.
