What are the pros/cons of this product versus the AMP 85500-06 BOV Blow Off Valve Adapter? Sorry, I'm not savvy regarding these mods, but i really like the sound they produce. Are there power benefits as well? Thanks
The BOV adapter is basically a spacer which goes in between the factory BOV and the charge pipe. It allows the air to vent to atmosphere and gives you that psssssh bov sound. However it still uses the stock valve. The Turbosmart valve is a higher quality aftermarket valve which will manage/hold boost better especially at higher boost levels. We haven't done any back to back dyno testing with the stock vs TS one but TS claims there is some power to be had by switching. In our case since we installed the JB4 device and have made up to 23psi on our Braptor we went with the TS valve for it's performance benefits at higher boost levels over stock. Hope that helps! If you have any other questions feel free to give us a shout. Thanks!
It has no affect on the vehicle and how it drives both on the street or offroad. All it does is vent the pressure in the charge pipe to the atmosphere instead of recirculating it back into the charge pipe. Let us know if you have any other questions in the meantime. Thanks!
Super easy install and great sound!
Got mine. Sounds cool..

does this affect off-roading in the mud or dirt in any way?
