Alright sis, first of all, let me tell you-you are one brave soul. I mean, doing the big chop and sharing it here for all of us? You've definitely got guts! I'm really sorry to hear how your relaxer journey turned out to be a bumpy one. I've been there. Did my final relaxer 3 years ago, and by God's help I won't do it again. But, you've proven that 'easy way out' isn't always the best. Thanks for sharing your story, it serves as a warning to us all. I love your energy and how you're taking the setback head-on! All I can say is that there's a lovely community of women (myself included) who will root you on! And who cares about how long this journey's gonna take? As long as it leads to healthy and happy hair, right?
I can't wait to see what amazing styles and vibes you're going to bring onto your channel. Keep us informed on your progress! Glory to God!.✨👩🏾‍🦱💜🙏🏾

Speaking from experience, NEVER leave it on your scalp and hair when it's burning. Those chemical burns can result in a fungus on the scalp. It took years before a dermatologist was able to diagnose me and cure it.

Wow, I’m sorry you had to go right that. I’m glad you were able to treat it. I may also now ‘speak from experience ‘ smh hair journeys are tough

@@Definingherbeauty if anything, it taught me to speak up when I did use to go to salons for a perm. I've been natural for 20 years and don't see the point in going back to that.

Baybeeeee… let me tell you.. the only reason I came across this particular video is because I LITERALLY JUST DID MY BIG CHOP!!!! Like 20 minutes ago and I needed some form of reassurance 😩🤣
Firstly you are soooo beautiful AND brave for doing this for ppl to see and you’ll never know what you have just done for me 🥰❤️ just know.. even though we don’t know each other.. WE IN THIS TOGETHER NOW!! I’m not 100% sure what I’m gunna do next.. I thought about buying some clippers tmrw and literally doing a bald one starting from scratch SCRATCH I’m not sure all I do know is my hair is the same length as yours.. same texture as yours and I had the same issue as to why I chopped in the first place!! there was absolutely nothing else I could do with it the relaxers over time just damaged my hair!!! I haven’t cried.. in fact I actually feel free and lighter no lie I hope you’re feeling the same 😘❤️ If not, please remember QUEEN we are not our hair and it will grow back and be healthy and alive🤌🏾🙌🏾I’m sending you love and light regardless.
Sorry for the essay but I just needed to let you know what you just did for me 🖤👑
Ps im’a still rock my wigs whenever I want keeping my crown fully protected underneath 😘🤗

Yeah, looks like you dont know how to take care if relaxed hair. But news flash, going natural is not the cure all, you still have to know how to take care if natural hair or it won't grow either. I know a few people with damaged natural hair because they simply dont know how to properly care for their hair at any state.

So when you watch the video in its entirety, you'll hear me say, that they left it on my hair for too long. I left the salon with my hair fired and knew that, but made the best of what it was. I still was able to have the hair on my head for several months and look good while doing it. Also, if we're talking about cancer-causing relaxers, you can google it, news flash going natural is the cure for all. Just because a few people don't know how to take care of their hair doesn't mean that having a relaxer is better. There are ways to remedy damaged hair.. but there is no cure for cancer. Both states of hair, whether natural or relaxed require research, effort, and time invested for them to flourish. I frankly do not care what someone chooses to do to their hair.. I just posted to inform those who did not know (like myself) that RELAXERS CAUSE CANCER.
