Happy belated Birthday beautiful! Absolutely the best solo journey you’ve taken to-date! I love how you brought us along with you on this fabulous trip. From the final bedtime wrap to the who-dat look in the mirror at home. I love it! Your curl pattern is very nice. Be prepared though, your curls will continue to tighten up the longer you go without straightening your hair. My last relaxer was in January 2011. I also waited about a year before my “big chop.” I did more wash & go styles before embracing my Afro. It took some getting used to as I too had been relaxed since about 10-11 years old. In April 2022 right before my first cruise, I began my loc journey. That actually felt more liberating than my loose natural hair. I have not looked back and thoroughly enjoy each and every day with my locs as they have a life and mind of their own…lol. Thanks so much for sharing.
