There is nothing like the sound of a good diesel motor. I dont care what brand. Diesel vehicles are amazing.
Agree
In winter time, I always turn off the power mirrors... Saved me some expensive replacement thru out the years🤟
yes . me too.
What do you mean? Heated mirrors? Wouldn't it be useful to defrost in winter?
@@SoulEater090 he means the electric mirrors that open automatically when the car is unlocked. If they freeze and you open the car, then the electric motors or the fuses like to burn through

Modern tdis starts before and more fast. Thanks a lot
Really Einstein, well thank you for that info !!!!!!!!!
the old ones would start as well if the owners would preheat more than once or twice. my 1.9TDI in my A4B5 started instantly with temps at -17 degress
-5 C...It's very extreme)))
So I know what car to buy, a computer-controlled car is the best.

You gotta plug your diesels in at night!
Why am I thinking of a video with British made cars and none of them starting lol!

I have a Audi A4 B8 2011 and I bought it this summer so lets see if it will start this winter. I live in the nothern part of sweden. At the same world level as alaska and canada.

Second Audi has maybe broken glow plugs? I know it's cold and it takes longer, but this was too long I think
@@MrTekkido I am talking about glow plugs - it's engine part which is responsible for pre heating the cylinders making it easier for mixture of air and diesel to explode
A lot of them need new heatplugs and injectors, also there is no need to do 2-4 cycles of heating if your car is 1990 and newer since they only heatup only one time and also if the light is off they are still on for a few seconds after. I’ve had 4 diesels 1.9tdi, 2.0tdi, 3.0d R6 and 3.0d V6 (1998-2011) and all of them started the same in -25 Celsius like in summer, you just need to take care of your car.
Really ? Doesn't seem true for my Peugeot 307 2.0 hdi of 2001 need to heat it like 2 times in winter to get it start without choking
My diesel subaru started with no working glowplug at -35°C like it was the summer, lol

Everyone knows that toyota built the most reliable cars in the world. I have an 2006 toyota corolla and I live in Canada! Sometimes it's -45°C here and it stars and runs always like a clock
Please research the toyota vvt-i oil consumption issues before you make such a bold statement.
@@KubiIay wich car is THEN the most reliable? If you google toyota with 1million km you find a a lot of them. My grandfather drives a 2008 toyota Tundra with 1.5 million km!!!!! Try that with a vw or bmw there is no way that they make it this far!!!!!!And my corolla DOESNT burn oil or something
@@torstenunhger6609 Why are you so emotional? I’m just saying that Toyota has the worst oil consumption issue ever known which was a mechanical error. Due to the piston rings failure early on, these Toyotas burn 1L of oil every 200km. Good for you that your Corolla is fine.
I had one of these Toyota that burned enormous amounts of oil. I sold it and I now drive a BMW ironically. In 6 years I put 300.000km on it on my own. With nearly 400.000km on the tachometer, my 2.5L 6 cylinder gasoline BMW is doing much better than that Toyota. That Tundra of your grandpa’ is probably a diesel. There are lots of diesels of other brands with that amount of mileage.
@@KubiIay a toyota Tundra diesel doesn't even exist ua-cam.com/users/ScottyKilmermechanic watch this guy he is a very experienced mechanic and he says that too that toyota builds the best cars.
@@torstenunhger6609 oh god so first of all Scotty is a upcoming meme really, the guy is not as serious as he was at the start or just now some mental problems are starting to show up.
There are many engines from the VAG group (aka VW, audi, skoda, porsche, bentley, lamborghini and so on, and yes u will find VW symbols on the last 3 car brands i mentioned, said those stuff just in case u didnt know)
As example of Diesel engines with way over 1mil km is the 1.9TDI, even more the one with engine code ALH (and with basic maintenance and consumable replacements, no big issues with the engine) , i personally know almost 10 of those. Even the 3liter TDI, i only saw 2 of those at 1mil tho.
On gasoline with around 1mil are the 1.6liter NA and the 1.8T, both are good but usually ppl tune the 1.8T one so there arent lots of them and the 1.6 is not that popular anymore, on the gasoline part i can count them on one hand tho
Like why am i watching this..
Зачем я это смотрю? У меня даже машины нет.

Bmw star more quickly than audi for the cold weather-20
Oh no, that really depends on what engine you have.. I had a 2006 A8 4.2 TDI V8, and I hit the glow plug twice, and it fired right up, last time i started it, it was -24 and the car had been standing for 4 days, 227.000km on that engine, no webasto no Block heater... Pure Audi crap😎
My Merc A250e do not need any glow plugs and starts in an instant under -20. Sooo? ;)
@ El presidents A250e is a very nice car btw. The cars featured in this video are older models some are about 20 years old. They are also mostly high mileage. The fact that they can start at -30c is impressive for their age. Diesel often gels in the cold and car batteries don't perform aswell in the cold too which makes these older models with thinner fuel lines much more susceptible to blockage.
@ El Presidente i mean my auto correct did that
Ok, i am buying that argument!
