Frank Marino is one of my favorite guitar players of all time. It's sad to hear that recently he has stopped touring due to medical issues. Get Well Frank!!!!
I went to a similar show at the Wax Museum in Washington DC. I believe it was this same year 1983. It was not my first concert of frank's by far, but I really enjoyed it.
I saw Frank Marino in 1978 . In my opinion no one could make the sound of bombs falling from the sky like Frank could . The man was amazing & way way too underrated .
Saw him open for Nazareth in '76. Electric Reflections of War left this 15 year old kids jaw on the floor. Couldn't believe what I was hearing. Huge fan ever since.
I'll never forget the night I saw Rush, Mahogany Rush and ZZ TOP the´same night in Huntington, WV in concert. What a night and what a concert. Thanks for putting this up.... Good Memories for sure...
I think its like mixing apples and oranges. Stevie is texas shuffle blues, Frank is Blues, Hard rock, some jazz fusion. Both are good at their genre specialties.
I agree, though I never found SRV to be that unique or special. Now Marino, that guy squeezed crazy custom noises from his guitar. SRV was relatively conventional and recorded mostly during the elaborate production period of the 1980s
Of course there is so much more and hopefully will be. The PORR and Juggie albums just were the power peak. I've always enjoyed the cooler jazzier more "mellow" stuff as well. And sometimes more...
I saw Frank twice in old Québec city. Brought all my albums and got the whole collection signed. Yep and thank God !

I very much appreciate the clarity of this live recording. Gotta love Frank.
Frank is not only great player, he builds his own pedals and is a audio production genius.
Live he was and is spot on...saw him often in the 70s...he was cool as hell too

Frank definitely sings better than Stevie as well as guitar, and Frank plays clean guitar, listen to Hingston Nights
