- How to install rear heavy duty leaf springs on an EZGO TXT gas or electric golf cart. We at DIY Golf Cart believe that our installation video tutorials will make your install go much smoother if we break down the install process. Golf cart heavy duty springs are a must if you plan on carrying extra cargo, with a utility box, or hauling more than 2 passengers, with a rear seat.
Thansk for posting this video!!! I have been looking all over the net for anything to do with this and you guys were the only ones to post anything like this!
So THANK YOU once again!!!
I love all of your EZGO TXT videos and the other day I just spoke to Barry - you guys are amazing! thank you so much for all the helpful videos! Wish you guys had a boat channel too ;) !
@smokin9ball - We appreciate your input. Happy carting!
Great video! Thanks for doing it. Can you provide a link to the made in USA springs you referenced in your video. I too am doing everything in my power to avoid anything made of “Chinesium”. Thanks
I just did this on a 2001 DS Club car. Had two problems. Because of the wider springs my shocks were not long enough to be able to reattach and the bracket that holds the brake cable and the "U" bolt attaches too rubbed on the wheel rim due to the different positioning of the bracket. No directions at all came in the box so this was a surprise.
Cool vid thanks!
If I add new HD leaf springs and it increases the rear ride height, do I also need to make modification to the front end ? Or will it be riding low front end ?
The HD springs will only increase the height about 1/2".
I'm about 2 minutes into the video and I don't understand how supporting the economy and made in the USA actually tells me it's a better product.
Anything made in USA is typically higher quality.
Where can I find the axle bolt that goes in the front of the spring?
Love the videos but that intro is terrible
