I did mine by taking down the headliner. I'm 72 years old and did it with all the aches and pains that comes with being old. I even took out the seat bar so I could get all the trim plastic off the back of the cab without crushing anything. The thing that gets me is while I was doing that I wired it for a roof beacon. The dealer gave me the rocker switch but I don't know where the plug is that the beacon plugs into. The dealer sold me a Buyers mini random flasher. The beacon switch was simple easy but when I take it up to the dealer to get the computer to turn on the side lights I'll find out where the beacon plugs is. On the older machines it was in the left rear cab pillar but I didn't notice it when I had all the garnish molding off. I guess if your in a hurry you can do it the way shown but you will need to be double jointed to reach the plugs. And I didn't want to see hex head bolts sticking out of my new S76. Taking down the headliner is far from the toughest thing to do. A little patience goes a long way in life.

Absolutely 👍 appreciate the feedback, multiple ways to accomplish the end goal. Perfect installation would be for bobcat to put the lights on from the factory on every machine and call it a day haha especially with the price you pay.

Thanks for the info. Did you receive an hour quote from Bobcat for the software installation? Wondering if I may see if they’ll do the software upgrade prior to delivery then adding the lights at a later time. Thanks

You just gotta ask them. They literally probably plug it in and just click the unlock button on it. We ordered the lights as part of our deal and they didn’t have them in at the time we picked up the machines. Honestly if you buy the lights their should be no charge to turn them on. We just forgot to ask them when we picked up the machines to turn that feature on.

That’s great, thank you! I wouldn’t have thought of it had you not made this video. Forgot to ask you opinion between the two machines...I was about to go with the T76 but decided on the T66 due to weight (non-CDL).

Our dealer didn’t have a T66 left only T76 models. If they had a T66 we would have gone with it over the T76. T76 is significantly more heavy and the T66 power to weight ratio is better as well as the overall size of the machine. Biggest complaint on the T76 models from others I have talked to is that it feel underpowered compared to the T66 I can imagine that has to do with the power to weight. We haven’t had much time to use them yet we mostly use them in the winter for plowing and do some little stuff moving equipment around in the summer. Loving them a lot more then our previous model years. Way more refined and the windshield wiper doesn’t rattle (our biggest complaint on our other machines, constant rattle we couldn’t get rid of) also we are excited to see how the new heated fuel system works this winter. (Or warmed fuel system) Supposedly does better during the winter seasons.

Thanks for the info, wondering how I was gonna get them things in there without destroying the interior. Great job on describing the whole process. Hope the programming part isnt overpriced after upgrading the lights. Keep doing more videos about your experiences with the new bobcat design

Bobcat dealer or dealer you bought it from has to unlock it. Super dumb.

Not sure. I would have to look through the manual.

Or you could just remove the headliner like the instructions say! This is idiotic! Don't do this, just remove the headliner as the instructions say. No crushed ductwork, no missing hardware, no banging your head against the wall! Thanks for nothing!

I agree. I started mine and said forget this. I took my time and took down the headliner. It wasn't that big a deal and I'm no kid. If someone put it together I'm sure as heck I can take it apart. Getting it back in was not as hard as I was prepared for. Whole thing can be done in an hour or so if I were to do it again, with a plastic plug removal tool a screwdriver and a socket and tork set. Someone standing outside the machine holding my beer helped a lot.too.
