I struggle with manual dimensions example showing the center line for plumbing in small rooms. When I add the CL lines they are huge and cover up most of the cabinets or fixtures. In X12 I can't rotate the measurement numbers so I try making them small enough to fit within the line, but then when I send to layout it's so small no one can read it once it is printed. I can't seem to find any teaching on the logic of the size of the measurement numbers. I know the defaults are 1", 1/2", 1/4", 1/8" but to what? Especially in the layout what do the default sizes mean? If I send my plan to layout at 1/4" scale what size will that make my measurement numbers if I use the any of the previously mentioned defaults.

I know how to convert one dimension at a time. See I like to take a predone model and modify it. Any help would be appreciated

Is there a way to convert a whole plan from imperial to metric? We here in Europe we use metric and concrete for homes. Mediterranean style. Wish ca would do a demo in metric

I sent Dan an email on CEA, don’t think he reading these here. But if I may, never tried it , if you select the dim tool, then hold down shift key and select all dims, then open and make changes. If it works, you can then select one as you like it and then click on make default tool. I’m guessing but be sure to be in the correct layer set when trying this. Hope it works.

Hey Dan, hope all is well. quick question, lately I’ve noticed my leaders ( be it a text leader or dim leader) are sometimes hidden beneath an object/ for instance a rafter. I then have to select the leader/arrow and then bring forward with arrange tool. Is there a default setting for this or a reason this has reared its nasty head all of a sudden. Seems the last couple plans I’ve done, this is happening. Thanks
