    Speaking of what you do with clients, I have them make lists, A Must have list and not have lists to start. Save pictures, magazine pages of what they may want...needs/ requirements. I have them do this while I’m doing the as built.

    $199/ Month now! I already have Home Pro so where do I find the best way to use it while getting around the limitations?

    I appreciate John's comment at 41:10. As an engineer it annoys me when I receive, for example, a rendering of a subdivision layout that shows right-of-way limits, building limits, building foot prints, etc. and calls out dimensions on them, but when measured they aren't accurate. If there is plenty of land available it's not a big deal but projects like condominium developments that are incredibly tight can really get screwed up if offsets, elevations, building footprint sizes, etc. are inaccurate.

    I’ve been working on a design in HDP. I’ve been very impressed with its capabilities although after a year of pretty deep work for a permit ready set of CDs ( MEP, Imported Topo Data from the GIS) and now finalizing construction documents ( close to 40 pages) , I definitely am starting to push up against the limits of HDP. The main features that I am considering upgrading to Chief for are exactly what you mentioned. Right now I have 30 separate duplicates of the same complete plan , each for separate layouts which takes a lot of attention for file management. The question I have that I didn’t see answered here, is if I upgrade to Chief after creating these 40 layouts from the same duplicated plan sets in HDP , is there a way to consolidate all of my layouts ?Or would I have to start from the main plan in Chief and redo all the layouts and CAD/text and call outs in Chief? I suppose I could import pdf files , but I wouldn’t be able to edit the plan . Another point to note and follow up question is in regards to the computer CPU . I am importing large topo files from the GIS 54,000 topo lines to extrapolate , in 1 foot increments over 10 acres, the 3D rendering is incredibly slow when trying to edit and go back to the 3D renders. Is there a setting that makes switching to 3D view faster, so it does not have to render the same topo data every time ( takes about 10. Min every time I make an edit on the 2d with topo and switching to 3D, is this a CPU issue or can you lock the topo data so it does not have to reprocess every time? If not that would be a great update for the software . Thanks

    Home Designer Pro 2021 DO HAVE the ADD TO LIBRARY icon on the bottom when one click on one object. Since you got the trials there you do not have it. And it will be the same for me if I go for the download of the CAPremiere trial I wont get a few things like saving, printing, raytrace just to name a few. I really like both programmes and it is fun playing with it tho. Nice video tho. thanks a lot.

      Hi , is that the “Chief Architecture” software include all function of “Home designer Pro” ?

      @chiefexperts  3 роки тому +1

      @@wongkyo5339 The Premier version of Chief Architect has all of the Home Designer function. Home Designer is derived from the Premier version.

    I’m a interior designer in Ireland and we have lots of old Georgian houses with thick walls and splayed windows. Do you know how to create a splay on walls around the windows?

      @@erichgunthel8382 Yes you can make custom shaped trusses with both programs. Add a roof, draw a truss, open its dialog and turn off "No Special Snapping". You can then resize it on the floorplan and in an elevation view. You can only change the webbing in the Premier version.
