What fun! After I first saw Angelina on AGT (January 6, 2020) singing her arrangement of Bohemian Rhapsody, I started listening to all her videos back to back to back. I didn't want to stop. She was declared "The national Treasure of Norway", by king and country. People in Norway adore her. Today musicians in the whole world have a stupendous amount of respect for this woman. What a great, great listen to what Angelina does. And your video presentation was masterful and when combined with Angelina's magnificence this was a sensational video. The 33:23 flew by. Your comments about Angelina were right on. When she sings she goes into a zone, a space which she describes as beautiful and you can see and listen to the results of that phenomenon 24/7 and never tire of it. Her wonderful and loving family has shielded her during her early years so that she can finish her education and have a life resembling what a normal teenager would experience. When she did sign with Republic Records, a giant in the industry about 2 years ago they had to agree to certain conditions on how to 'handle' Angelina before they get the nod that she is ready to dedicate herself fulltime to her career. Republic has done so and it has been a wonderful marriage. You mentioned that you are aware of what a beautiful human being she is. Angelina is all about LOVE and the love in her voice touches our hearts. She is very aware of the affect she has on people and one of her desires in life is to sing for the masses and provide them with joy, and hope, and love and inspire them to be the best they can be as kinder, more caring and loving human beings than ever before. She also wants to do whatever she can to make the world a better place to live for everyone and wants all of us to join her on that mission. For Back-to-Black Angelina is indeed reading lyrics - but the reason is that to make the song more age-appropriate she rewrote most of the lyrics to the song - she started the day before the session and finished on the way to the studio. So, yes, those are her own handwritten lyrics and notes on the music stand in front of her.
The original lyrics of "Back To Black" were not appropriate for her age so she rewrote it, finishing on the way to the studio, to sing as a tribute to another of her favorites that passed too early, Amy Winehouse. She never wears shoes when performing. When she walked in she was wearing shoes, when singing she wasn't. Her best instrument is the piano and than the guitar. It is said she also plays the flute and the violin. The kids are het cousins and her sister.

My comments on Angelina's I Put A Spell On You video - Angelina was 9 years old in that performance - This song was not arranged for her - she wrote the arrangement based on listening to the original Screamin' Jay Hawkins version - in fact, at the beginning of the video you see Angelina writing down some last-minute changes and it is read by the bandleader. You also notice that her own handwritten notes are on the music stand in front of her as she sings. In this case, "two first names" is literally true: she apparently went by "Jordan" (instead of "Angelina") when she was younger. If you actually watched the rest of the first video here (the part not included in this reaction), the older woman who hugged her (the one standing next to the guy with the frizzy har) called her "Jordan". Most of the earliest YT videos that feature her (i.e., that were actually uploaded before she went on NGT) identified her as "Jordan" in their titles (some have since been renamed). And a 2013-11-21 FB post by her grandmother Mery referred to Angelina as "the singer Jordan Astar".

You should listen to Lucy Thomas (she is British), and she has the potential to be the new Barbra Streisand. She is currently 18 or 19, but like Angelina Jordan has a voice far beyond her years. Her top Three songs, IMHO best songs are ‘I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing’ (a cover of an Aerosmith song), ‘Hallelujah’, and ‘Memory’ from cats. Her musical track is musical-comedy, and she was selected for the lead in the musical ‘Rosie’. She also does several duets with her younger sister Martha. She was declared "The national Treasure of Norway", by king and country. People in Norway adore her. Today musicians in the whole world have a stupendous amount of respect for this woman. When a experienced conductor of one of the most respected military brass band seeks the advise of a 11 year old girl, it speaks for itself.

What a great, great listen to what Angelina does. And your video presentation was masterful and when combined with Angelina's magnificence this was a sensational video. The 33:23 flew by. Your comments about Angelina were right on. When she sings she goes into a zone, a space which she describes as beautiful and you can see and listen to the results of that phenomenon 24/7 and never tire of it. Her wonderful and loving family has shielded her during her early years so that she can finish her education and have a life resembling what a normal teenager would experience. When she did sign with Republic Records, a giant in the industry about 2 years ago they had to agree to certain conditions on how to 'handle' Angelina before they get the nod that she is ready to dedicate herself fulltime to her career. Republic has done so and it has been a wonderful marriage. You mentioned that you are aware of what a beautiful human being she is. Angelina is all about LOVE and the love in her voice touches our hearts. She is very aware of the affect she has on people and one of her desires in life is to sing for the masses and provide them with joy, and hope, and love and inspire them to be the best they can be as kinder, more caring and loving human beings than ever before. She also wants to do whatever she can to make the world a better place to live for everyone and wants all of us to join her on that mission. She reminds us that it is impossible to achieve those results unless we, as a people, begin to love one another. Briefly, this says it all: Angelina is a Messenger of Love.

Born Angelina Jordan Astar on January 10, 2006 in Oslo, Norway to her Norwegian mother, Sara Astar and her Swedish father, Gerry Christian Slattman.
Angelina started singing around 18 months of age, after listening to Whitney Houston on UA-cam. She quickly became obsessed with listening to music videos and her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani got Angelina interested in classic jazz.
Mery Zamani is Iranian and was a prodigy as an artist and poet while growing up in Iran. Angelina attended the Oslo Waldorf School and participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where starting around age 4, she had training in music but no vocal training. Her teachers were smart enough to not attempt to change what she was doing vocally. More recently she along with her grandmother have designed and made the clothing she wears on stage.
Why Angelina always performs barefoot At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate.

In the Finals, Angelina did a cover of George Gershwin’s, “Summertime” and won the contest, capturing 46% of the votes from the ten finalists. When asked what she would like to do with the prize money she won (500,000 kroner or about $80,000), Angelina replied, “I want to give it to the poor children”. Angelina had become a star in her native Norway and her videos on UA-cam went viral. She gave a few concerts during the summer of 2014 while 8 years old. For Back-to-Black Angelina is indeed reading lyrics - but the reason is that to make the song more age-appropriate she rewrote most of the lyrics to the song - she started the day before the session and finished on the way to the studio. In this case, "two first names" is literally true: she apparently went by "Jordan" (instead of "Angelina") when she was younger. If you actually watched the rest of the first video here (the part not included in this reaction), the older woman who hugged her (the one standing next to the guy with the frizzy har) called her "Jordan". Why does Angelina sing barefooted? Angelina Jordan is known as "The Barefoot Princess" or "The Barefoot Princess of Jazz," amongst many other names. She always performs barefooted, whether in front of a live audience or during a studio performance. The story is that while living in the Middle East, at 6 years old, Angelina came across an orphaned girl, of her own age, sitting in the street, weighing people on a bathroom scale to earn money. Angelina said to herself, "I would like to share her life for one second to know what it is like to sit alone, wet, and damp, and barefoot in a corner of the street." Angelina could see the girl's bare feet were scarred and that it was cold outside, so she offered her own shoes to the girl. Little Angelina says that she really loved her shoes, as they were very nice and she knew she would miss them. But she saw the other little girl’s need for them, which outweighed her own desire to keep them. So she insisted the little girl take them.
Angelina called her Princess, even though the girl said she didn't live in a castle, but the ruins of a building next to where she sat. After sharing their hopes and dreams, the little girl said of Angelina's wish to sing for the world, "You will become the one you dream of and when your dreams come true, you have to remember the poor children without shoes; and I will pray for you Angelina.” Later that day, 6 y/o Angelina wrote in her diary, "The world is very strange. Right then and there, I felt as if a door in my heart opened up, and it was filled with lots of lights. It was as if there was, from Earth to Heaven, a staircase. I climbed the stairs. To be able to do something for another human - it was such a big thing…hard to describe really.”
From that point on, Angelina takes off her shoes, in honor of ‘Princess’ and all the other less fortunate children of the world, who are orphaned, hungry, or in want of even basic clothing. In 2015, at the age of 9, Angelina wrote a book about the encounter, as everyone continued to ask why she sang barefoot. Her grandmother, Mery Zamani, created the artwork for the book. So at 9, Angelina Jordan became the youngest published author in Norway. Angelina has performed alongside many other artists, raising attention and helping to raise over 21 million euros and millions of dollars for children in need.

You should listen to Lucy Thomas (she is British), and she has the potential to be the new Barbra Streisand. She is currently 18 or 19, but like Angelina Jordan has a voice far beyond her years.
Her top Three songs, IMHO best songs are ‘I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing’ (a cover of an Aerosmith song), ‘Hallelujah’, and ‘Memory’ from cats.
Her musical track is musical-comedy, and she was selected for the lead in the musical ‘Rosie’.
She also does several duets with her younger sister Martha. Martha’s voice isn’t quite as good as Lucy’s yet, but they do sound very good together.
