Professor Hunter, first of all, thanks to you and Professor Bruce for all lectures. Is there any reasonable reason (such as compilation speed, etc) to use Quartus II instead of new versions of Quartus Prime provided by Intel? And with your experience and Professor Bruce, do you know if computer processors with faster clocks can reduce de compilation time of a Quartus Project? I compared the compilation performance with a 4-core and 8-core processors, and unforttunaly, the compilation time was almost the same. 😪
Do you mind sharing some cool colour palettes for the mandelbrot set? Also, thank you for uploading these videos on youtube, they are great. Does Dr. Land not teach this course any more?
See the Week 2 section at this link: vanhunteradams.com/DE1/Mandelbrot/Mandelbrot.html I think log-based color schemes look nice. For color palette ideas, I used this site: lospec.com/palette-list/ Bruce is semi-retired. He and I co-instruct the course.
Hello Thanks for such wonderful videos. I am trying to develop real time video processing system(video in:NTSC video out:Vga) . I have seen some projects of your students like camera based video game, cartooning and others. I would like to know if it's possible to store a fixed amount of images onto the sd card /pendrive during real time video processing.

Totally appreciate your effort but I have an issue with the board.
I can’t afford buying it.
Is there any cheaper option under $100?

@@hunteradams9430 Thanks a lot for the reply. The course content here and on Dr. Land's channel is extremely helpful.
