Meg you totally ROCK. Love your style. I have dyslexia and my brain is all over the place with things anyway. It's kinda like nursing cats 😅 Happy Creating and thanks for sharing this.
this was a cool video, thanks. I liked the humor you spiced in too. it added to the fun of the video without being distracting. I also liked that you jumped into the tutorial right away without a 10 minute intro like some people do. :)
i dont usually sub nowadays but enjoyed this video ! (just a small tip: plz dont overdue the joke parts and try to shorten the videos as much as u can, ppl get bored after awhile!) all the best
New to designer and still trying to get the goddamn pen tool to do what I want so will probably have to watch this vid several times but you made me laugh so many times. Great stuff!
I definitely remember the first few days of getting used to it! (Side note: if you happen to be using a Wacom tablet, I’m also having issues with the current version.)
Great question! I believe some effects can’t be properly translated into code for EPS and SVG files. And for that reason, they get exported as bitmap/pixel objects to still show in the EPS. So depending on the effects used, it’s better to go for PNG/JPG. I’m not sure if it’s Affinity’s fault for not translating the effects well, or if it’s the file format that can’t support those effects.
@@MegWayne Yes, but I say because I want to stop using Photoshop, I prefer to pay something at once and that's it. I am Game development of all genres and helped to create some games, but I don’t like work photoshop..... Could you use Affinity to develop any kind of animated mobile game for iOS-Android 3d, 2d platform and especially could you use it with Unity?
@@elfua7347 I guess it depends what files you need coming out of Photoshop, it depends how you build things in Unity, cause there's a lot of ways to get something done. Just know that Affinity doesn't have an animation timeline, that's the one main difference. I'd try using the trial and if everything works, you can move away from Photoshop! (I only use it for sketch animation)
Amazing content. I love the thumbnails! Truly professional, charismatic and entertaining. Keep it up!
Thanks Meg, success ...

Hello Meg,
Why is it that when i apply effects to my illustration upon exporting as EPS it turns into an image which can no longer be edited.
Great question! I believe some effects can’t be properly translated into code for EPS and SVG files. And for that reason, they get exported as bitmap/pixel objects to still show in the EPS. So depending on the effects used, it’s better to go for PNG/JPG.

Hello, Do you know if I can use Affinity Designer for mobile game development.
It all depends what developers are down to use, I definitely used Affinity for sprite sheets and game assets, and exported as SVG and PNG.

Hi Meg. Have you ever think in make a Udemy course? Your material is by far better than anything available.
Thank you! And I have, I’m getting ready for the next version of Affinity to make one, to my knowledge it’s coming out this year.
