“Every person Obi-Wan ever truly loved: Anakin, Satine, Padmé, and Qui-Gon himself came to a terrible end. Three of them died before his eyes; the other fell to a fate so bleak that death would've been a gift.”
How come obi wan does not talk about order 66 because thousands died that day and republic became empire ruled the galaxy with palpatine in charge as emperor
People have complained about this show, but that intro with Darth Vader was soo good! I agree when you said that you had chills, hearing that voice, that breathing, and seeing that silhouette was enough to bring back so many childhood memories.
No one is ever going to agree on how well Disney have handled Star Wars as a whole, but I think we can all agree they've consistently done a fantastic job when it comes to depicting Darth Vader onscreen
It's mainly just the Reva story line I am annoyed about. She is pointless except for fulfilling a diversity quota they tossed in and it takes away from Vader time.
@@moabman6803 she makes the story go somewhere at least. How else were Vader and Kenobi going to meet again? Vader would never be allowed to find out he is on Tatooine and Kenobi wouldn’t ever leave the planet except for a dire emergency such as one of the twins who is the hope of the future being taken.
@@moabman6803 And how do you know the reasons why they cast her? Is there any situation in which the main protagonist could be a black woman that WOULDN'T be considered "diversity casting" by you? Or is any time a main character isn't a white male automatically "diversity casting"? If she does a good job, who cares what the behind-the-scenes reasons are. Some people are cast in movies just because they are related to someone powerful in the business. That doesn't automatically mean that they couldn't also do a good job of the part.
The Quinlan Vos mention at 12:39 to refresh your memory was the tarzan looking jedi from clone wars that Obi Wan teamed up with during the hunt for ziro the hutt after he escaped in the earlier seasons. it’s so cool seeing little things like that being mentioned as easter eggs. Great reaction as always and if you ever need to take a break, take as much time as you need for your own well-being and hope you feel better soon. ❤
He was also the main character in the novel Dark Disciple alongside Ventress and a pretty big player in the old Legends comic books IIRC. Definitely check it out if you're interested, it feel just like an episode of Clone Wars.
Technology can be such a wonderful thing. To think that they are now able to recreate Darth Vaders iconic voice without having to use James Earl Jones. I was always worried about what they would do after Jones retired or passed away. I know they have used other actors that sounded close but it was never the same. This new tech sounds just flawless.
Additions to the cast, Zach Braff, as the transport driver - and Indira Varma, as the imperial/secret agent…quality actors who expand the scope of Star Wars ☺️
They did a good job of showing Vader's dominance of Obi-Wan here. Anakin/Vader uses a two-hand grip when he is serious and even in minor skirmishes, he has finesse with his swordsmanship. But here? He is using one-hand and just chopping at Obi-Wan as if he was wielding an ax instead. You can tell Vader is completely disappointed in Obi-Wan. I think Vader let Obi-Wan go here because the chase would be more fun than just man-handling an old man.
Makes sense that Obi-Wan tries to fight the stormtroopers with a gun. As long as he only uses this weapon, the troops see him only as some random guy turning against the empire. In the moment when he pulls out his lightsaber, he reveals himself as a jedi, which attracts much more unwanted attention. And Vader looks terrifying again. The modern movies and shows that he is in really managed to capture the fear that he strikes into the hearts of almost everyone.
Hi, I stayed after your commentary on the show and I might have an idea of why it can be hard to breath. If you haven't heard of them yet, Nasal Polyps. They can cause heavy breathing, obstruction of the Nasal cavity, and can heighten your allergies. I'm hoping this information might be of use, and prove your symptoms. 😁 BTW! I'm OBSESSED with your taste in fashion. You kill it everytime! 😃
While I have complaints about this series the ONE thing they absolutely knocked out of the park is Darth Vader. In the prequels with him as Anakin it's Vader before his prime. In the original series, while he's still very powerful, it's Vader after his prime. Here we FINALLY get Vader IN his prime, at his most powerful, and at his most absolute ruthless. All powerful, no mercy. It's so satisfying.
A random stranger, such as myself, wishing you well in the comments section of a UA-cam video might not be greatest form of person-to-person interaction but I do sincerely wish you well. Head up and eyes to the sky, Jess. You are awesome.
It is not just cynicism with Obi Wan. Kenobi grew up in this bubble where the Jedi were heroes of the Republic, and the people loved them. He didn't really see how disconnected the Jedi were until he was on his own. Tales of the Jedi did a good job showing that isolation with the Dooku stories, and showing how low the opinions of the people were of the Jedi. I think Obi Wan feels betrayed that the Jedi were destroyed, and that the people of the galaxy, did nothing, they let their heroes be wiped out, and they didn't care. At this point, I think he didn't see the good in people anymore, especially in his isolation. All he was focused on was waiting to train Luke, rebuild the Jedi, and overthrow the Sith. i don't think it occurred to him that the people might rise up on their own. Hope you feel better, and we'll see you in the next video.
I don't usually leave comments on vids but I just wanted to say sorry to hear about that rough morning and your breathing issues. Hope you can find something eventually that provides relief. You and your reactions are greatly appreciated. Thanks for your efforts!
I feel like this was like the Doctor finding out about the Master being alive when she was 'Missy'. Being so happy his best friend is alive, yet being absolutely horrified by who is standing in front of him.
You're amazing and I know how you feel. I have a broken nose from my teens and I can't breath through it so I talk til I run out of air. We just deal with it. But you do so well and you're loving. You have a big heart. So take it easy and I look forward to seeing your videos. Your emotions make you very special. Never change. Martin
I’ve dealt with allergies long term and it can make you irritated, agitated, frustrated. You need air. I hope you find good help as it’s not the same solution for everybody. For me I stopped eating apples, corn, melon, tree nuts and Red 40 food dye. For my niece, she’s starting shots 2x a week as all hers are airborne. A friend had nose surgery to remove “nods” (maybe the wrong word). You got it done and small victories do count ❤ just know that we will be a-ok waiting on your next upload. Don’t worry about your “Poker face”, we are out here to watch you react to shared entertainment, share thoughts, …and, yes, adore You. ☺️ “Obi-wan Kenobi, is our only hope!”
I love the scene in the Inquistors' fortress. It shows why the Sith never succeeded in destroying the jedi when there were more then just two. No matter how strong they got, they were always bickering and fighting each other, as much as they were fighting the Jedi. The emperor never made the mistake of letting of these force users get powerful enough to truly challenge him. Vader was the only one close enough, but he was to filled with regret for his failings and anger at the jedi to threaten him. The inquistors are a perfect reflection of the Sith past. Anger, lust for power, ambition. They really are the anti-jedi in that scene.
Some who had an issue with this show thought Vader should have killed Obi Wan, but I think you pinned down what he wants. He wants Obi to suffer rather than to kill him. On a personal note, I went through a time where I kept getting throat infections, and I sing in a choir. I get your frustrations. It turned out my Thyroid was going kaput, and medicine was needed. I did get better. I just hope you can avoid sinus surgery. I have heard it is painful with not the best results.
I can definitely sympathize with the breathing problems. Not from allergies but after a second taste of COVID I couldn't do jack without turning into a fish out of water and work did not give a damn.
People complain about Obi-wan being a coward but what do you expect. Anyone else would be horrified in that scenario. The scary tall guy in a dark suit of mechanized armor just casually slaughtered a town including children on screen. Then when Kenobi fled he had a two mile lead on Vader and yet Vader still got in front of him without being noticed. The guy that can't exactly run well managed to get in front of him. And Obi-wan was well aware that he wasn't a match for Vader since he was still rusty. Fleeing was the best choice. Also Vader gave Obi-wan karmic justice with the fire in my opinion. Rather than mercy killing him on Mustafar Obi-wan allowed him to suffer the ultimate unbearable pain of being burned into a toasty half dead carcass and bearing that unbearable pain for the rest of his life even while in the suit. Obi-wan kind of had that coming.

The one drawback about the Jedi I never liked is them taking force sensitive children away from their homes only to have vague or no memories at all of their families.
See this, is why it matters, why the wait for years is so much more impactful than binge watching it all. I dont mean to be rude but i've loved star wars my whole life. You don't understand the weight of lightsabers, their importance, the reluctance to use them, the fury and anger of the sith and the dark side. It is a pull, a draw an instinct. it is deeply meaningful. They can't help but be angry, when they are calm, they aren't calm. They are "seething" their rage. And when one is blocked from the force for 10 years, it's not just like plugging a fan in the wall socket. The force is in all living things, to cut yourself off is not entirely possible. When someone "cuts themselves off" they are simply ignoring the powers the force give them, they are becoming nullified. To suddenly turn that off, is hard enough, but to then ask the force to flow through you enough to give your powers back is a BIG ask. It's very difficult to explain without writing a book about it, but "The Force" is the most important aspect of the best and worst things that can happen in the star wars universe. You get the emotion and the drama, and that's really great. But its also the little things that matter. I still love your reactions, but i just also have to be honest.
The AI generated voice of James Earl Jones still doesn’t seem right after all this time. I know it sounds like him but there’s just something about the rhythm and cadence of it that doesn’t sound natural like it’s a person speaking
@@getoffmyplane So the AI generator that created Vader's voice for the show didn't exist a few years ago? If it did, I don't understand why they chose to use it only once.

That “I am what you made me” line cuts deep
"Yes, it feels like that." is a devastatingly wonderful response to 'what the Force feels like'.
Mentally, Vader at this point is basically still the angry young man Obi-Wan left burning on Mustafar and not yet the guy from the Original Trilogy

Hi Jessica,
Here is a "quick" test that you can perform, in order-to narrow-down what you are allergic to. Fast for 2-3 days (drink water, tea, broth, juice, or other liquids, at 'anytime' that you feel "very hungry"; and take a multi-vitamin 1-2x daily); the first 24hrs WILL be 'rough' (feeling like you are "starving", "weak", having "hot-flashes", etc.) but by the 2nd day, you should be able-to breathe again (if it is "food related"), also, on that day, you will notice a decrease in the feelings of hunger, as well as starting to have a slight fever with a clamminess to the skin. If by day 3, you still can't breathe, your allergies are Not "food borne", they are "environmental" (likely chemical/s, including, but not limited to, mycotoxins--from fungi, like "Black mold", other molds, etc.--or "pollens", or man-made toxins), these are much harder to eliminate from your environments, and will take many tests to find the source and then remove it, if possible. Don't stop any exercise routines; work-out until you finish or until you are feeling overly weak, but never exhausted.
Please do not Fast for more-than 3 days, unless you need to lose weight; then, if that is the case, do your research on how to do it safely (especially for females still within their fertile years).
With this method, I was able-to find-out that I was allergic to Milk Casein "A", Soy Protein, and "Black mold", and also physically to 'all' Grasses (it is their microscopic hairs, that cause my reactions, to my skin and mucus membranes {nose, eyes, etc.}, not the consumption of their grains).
May you succeed at breathing freely for the rest of your life, and have a beautiful day/evening, Jessica.

The one drawback about the Jedi I never liked is them taking force sensitive children away from their homes only to have vague or no memories at all of their families.
The prequels show just how flawed the Jedi actually are. They have good intentions but sometimes their methods aren't great.
The scene with the stormtroopers on the ride is ridiculous. None of them suspect that they could be the ones they are looking for.
