    Great video but to give you some extra room and less dead weight you can remove the entire servo unit. All you need to order is a very tiny part called a ServoBuddy that tricks the FI system in thinking a servo exist.

    I've got the same bike, same color and exhaust. I'll never sell it. Such an amazing 636cc machine. The only other bike I want is a s1000rr and a Ducati Monster or Diavel. Anyways, the Yoshimura is one hell of a pipe. I looked at all of them...Graves, M4 Street Slayer, Akrapovic, Austin Racing, SC Project, two brothers etc... but I wanted a classic Japanese exhaust for this beast of a bike. It didn't turn as gold/bronze as I had hoped but it still looks great after 1400 miles with this exhaust. The carbon fiber is excellent quality and finish. The heat hasn't warped it at all. All in all a very fine exhaust system, muffler and mid pipe. I recommend a ServoBuddy so you can pull the servo motor and cables out of the seat area, it's unnecessary and the included servo mod is kind of janky

    • @screennamenottaken2
      @screennamenottaken2 4 роки тому

      Spy vs. Spy Just curious, in your experience how common would you say warping/degrading issues are for exhaust cans with carbon fiber? I have a 2019 zx6r also but the base model all black bike. I’ve been considering a few different exhausts and pretty much have it narrowed down to either this Yoshi exhaust or the Austin Racing GP2, probably in titanium/carbon fiber. I emailed them a few times with some questions and asked if that was an issue with their carbon options. They said the GP2 is just a carbon fiber sleeve over titanium and has no issues with heat.

    • @SpyvsSpy-yl9ip
      @SpyvsSpy-yl9ip 4 роки тому

      @@screennamenottaken2 The carbon fiber is very high quality. The best i've seen on an exhaust. Very durable and it has a nice tough gloss finish. I also looked at many other exhausts but I am very happy I chose the Yoshimura. Its very solid and high quality, its worth the price. In my opinion it's also the best sounding exhaust i've heard on the 2019 636

    I didn't scroll through all the comments but I wanted to offer a bit of info. The muffler installs behind the rear peg mount, not in front of it. it looks as though you installed it on the outside of the passenger peg instead of behind it. Just an FYI to the viewers. I can say even after installation of the servo plates mine threw a code anyway. Also just an FYI. I ordered a servo buddy. Otherwise, great video and thank you for posting!

If you did install correctly and have put some miles on the bike, easiest solution is to throw a servo buddy on there, I did a video on that too: ua-cam.com/video/5XwX5_wipOw/v-deo.html good luck!

    • @eastcoastish
      @eastcoastish  2 роки тому

      If all you're doing is adding the exhaust, you don't need a flash or Power Commander V or something similar but it will help get the most out of your exhaust. You won't do any damage though - exhaust alone won't lean out the mixture enough to make a difference.

  • @scienceofone

    I have the same exact bike, which model Yoshimura is this, sorry but I don't know much about it. Also I looked on ebay but it only shows the muffler, whereas you remove both sections, the muffler and the pipe under the bike, so I'm a little confused as to what I need to buy exactly. I loved your video though as I wanna do the exact same thing. Also is changing the servo a must?

    • @eastcoastish

      You can buy it directly from Yoshimura: www.yoshimura-rd.com/products/kawasaki-zx-6r-2019-street-series-exhaust-14642cp520
      This is the "three-quarter" exhaust as opposed to the "slip-on" which is just the muffler portion. You must either use the servo bracket that comes in the Yoshimura kit, or do the Servo Buddy which was much easier and cleaner: ua-cam.com/video/5XwX5_wipOw/v-deo.html

      If you don't install the mechanical servo attachment like I did in this video, then yes, you need a servo buddy.

  • @jsmith4844
    @jsmith4844 3 роки тому

    How did you get the bolts of the pre chamber loose? Those bolts are very hard to unscrew. You made it look so easy. That's very misleading. If your going to make a how to install video, be honest and thorough with the details and challenges. Don't be misleading.

      My bike was brand new so it could be that yours were harder to remove from the heat cycles it's gone through or something; mine weren't particularly hard to remove.

    I had installed same exhaust a year ago I thought everything sounded normal no power lagging no check engine light nth but I stopped by a local motorcycle shop they said am running on only 3 cylinder because of the exhaust and recommended me a power commander and new spark plugs. What are your thoughts on that?

    • @eastcoastish

      I’m running a power commander. The exhaust alone wouldn’t cause you to run on 3 cylinders though…

    Whenever you twist on the throttle, that little valve motor under the passenger seat initially opens/closes the valve in the stock exhaust. Now that you have removed it and bypassed it, I'm curious to how it works every time you twist the throttle since now it looks like it's forcing itself to one side. Can you check it out and let me know if it looks like it will break down eventually??? Thanks in advanced!!

    • @eastcoastish
      @eastcoastish  4 роки тому

      I only had the mechanical bypass on for a while, but I did not notice any issue with it at all - everything felt the same as before. I've since installed the Servo Buddy and have removed the motor and cabling - but again, from the throttle perspective, it all feels the same.
