I can only speak for myself when I say, it matters not when you receive your review pieces because I tune in to get your personal insight on the matter at hand. Your overview & or reviews are usually funny and give quite a different perspective most times. Whether it be add-on accessories or fixes I find your style refreshing, so keep them coming even if you get your item late.
This is definitely my favorite Spider-Man mold. I've never been a big fan of jacked Spidey - it just feels right to have him be a bit thinner, still fit, but more agile and mobile. This figure hits that perfectly.
This is the first Marvel Legend I have picked up in yeaaaars! Couldn't resist a classic pinless Spidey! The pinless double joints really elevates the figure to the next level! Cool review. -Justin
I love this figure I've used it as a base for a updated Miles, and nightcrawler, and if you trimm a small amount from the lower belly he crunchs better then a MAFEX, and to go a bit farther shave the hips so the legs raise past his chest for the best low crouching poses, seriously it's a small amount of modding that goes a long way, if this had neck articulation it would probably be the best hands down
I feel like everyone forgets War Machines neck setup... In my opinion it's the best of both the hinge and longer dumbbell used with Retro Spidey. Though both DB's could definitely use some improvement, I'm still unsure why Hasbro hasn't really used the one on War Machine since then, especially since it's so much better than the retro one
I have skipped Legends this year but this Spidey is incredible. The proportions and lean build and pinless joints make it so satisfying to look at. Great review!
It's my main display Spider-Man. The head sculpt and clean paint on mine is perfect, and this is what I think of as Spidey. Not really into the really big bug eyes look like the one in the Spinnette 2-pack.
I keep hoping for that web-wings breakthrough, too. I do wish this figure was leaner (more like the Miles figure) and had a tighter, more intricate web pattern (like the ToyBiz first appearance figure). Still, darn good.
My favourite recent Spidey. He scales much better than the giant retro Spidey buck, and has the physique of a teenager, not a bodybuilder. I do wish you had a Tick figure for that intro. Start another rivalry among our toys 😆
I'm not a big Peter Spidey fan but you can't deny the place of the character in Marvel Comics, the character is a good dude and the figure is pretty damn good representation of his first appearance. I couldn't pass that up. I hope we get similar quality for the X-Men and Avengers in some of their first appearances... Original An't-Man would be perfect on this slightly smaller adult build in a 2 pack with Original Wasp... along with a Mark 1 Iron Man.
I base a lot of purchases around your reviews or overview. I will add this making a Spiderverse shelf and it will be very nice had this order through my job now I feel confident about getting it.
2:29 It gets the job done, but I wish we'd get more unique Spidey heads. Like slightly different and more accurate pair of 1st appearance eyeball coverings. Or just a different sculpt to make it more special with being unique to this figure. Like ever since the (last) retro carded one, just about every Spidey fig is coming with one of those two heads. I'm all for a bunch of red & blue Peter's, but kinda want a new head for each one.
Even though I prefer the jacked RYV Spidey haha, the standard neck hinge works so much better making AF Spidey my new favorite. Can’t wait for the amazing friends pack for the blues and less TickMan logo. Thanks for the video!
Checking back in on this video now that Hasbro is reissuing this AF Spider-Man on a retro card (Target Exclusive). Only difference is that the retro card will have a blue spider on the back of the figure as seen in the original comic
I love everything about this figure. I think it's the perfect size for Spidey, he shouldn't be as tall as Captain America. Have you tried switching the feet of this and RYV Spidey? They're the same size and it helps this figure so much!
Web wings are not essential to my minds eye of Spidey. I’m okay with omission. This figure is pretty sweet. I like the not often included grip hands. He can smack guys with his web bats or hold onto a web parachute or even hold a slide of pizza with uhm more grip.
So glad Gus is back! More of him please! Also, I reviewed this a week ago or so. No pressure, we all review these at different times. Love your channel and humor. It lifts the spirits. Thanks. :)
My favorite Spidey remains the Peter Sentinel, however I was very impressed with this figure and can't wait to get the Walmart Animated and Amazing Friends versions, which are one the same body and I will pose more (currently I got my AF15 Spidey into the 1st appearance cover pose and can't bring myself to change it).
This is one of the best Spider-man figs by Hasbro and even up there with imports for me. He can do like 80% of what MAFEX can do and he won't pop apart too easy. I def hope we get more "classic blue" looks with this buck like Ultimate Spider-Man from the Space Venom V 2.0, Ultimate Symbiote (like the 5 pack but on this buck) and teenage Miles (Space Venom BAF 2.0)
honestly. this is probably the best Spidey to date. lack of toe articulation aside. this one has all the retro Spidey articulation. but it finally has a disc for the neck. instead of the ugly barbell. it comes with all hands. and a grabbing hand as a bonus. the web wings and web accessories. what would have been the cherry on top would have been toe articulation. but again asife from that. this is the best. imo
Ok, I'm twelve, and have been collecting legends since 2019. I have about twenty five legends, and, as a collector, even though I don't have the mafex spiderman, I feel like I would much rather have the retro/renew your vows spiderman, than the mafex. I just feel like legends are much more customizable than mafex.
I'd really like to stay and watch you review this great figure Robo but I have to go to the hospital to have some small parts removed from my stomach. No idea how they got there.
Man I love this figure!!! But I hate how Spidey’s hands are missing web lines on each hands he came with from the box which is just not right for Hasbro to do left undone.
I don't get why they don't just go with a gummier, stretchier rubberized plastic for things like the web wings. It doesn't seem like it would be too difficult to mold something that actually looked and acted like his webs do in a more natural way. A simple mesh in that type of material, rather than the flat slabs of filled in plastic with next to no give at all would have to be better.
The web wings are disappointing and I'd have preferred at least something like what Falcon got, so it looks less gap-y. But everything else about this figures is solid. I see it as the most refined Marvel Legends Spider-Man, with the benefits from all of the others, with good articulation and mostly good accessories. Which feels weirdly fitting for the original suit. Plus, I'm just a sucker for first appearance costumes. I just want this to be on a vintage shelf, and hopefully he's eventually joined by 1/12 scale Action Comics #1 Superman and Detective Comics #27 Batman.
This is going to be the last year for Spider-Man for me. I have 50+ Marvel legends Spider-Man. I have a few Mafex comic and the black suit. Sentinel and Mafex ITSV. I preordered the Mezco One 12 updated comic edition and the SH figuarts Tobey and Andrew Garfield as well. In Spider-Man out at this point.
Personally, I'm trying to stick to 'one and done' versions of characters in this line, Spider-Man is one of the few exceptions since there's versions like the black suit or the bombastic Bag-Man which were must haves for me. That said, I personally didn't need a first appearance version, and even thought the Renew your Vows version is a tad off from my mind's eye, mainly in color, it still works as a generic Spider-Man for me who can fit in to pretty much any setup.
Awesome review as always! I can't wait to watch the Gi Joe Playday! It's by far my favorite and most hated line. Love the figs but hate the distribution.
How much power do you have over the toy companies? I understand proprietary info, but im curious if you can show us how painting is done for figs. I don't know how far machines take to it. I'm also aware many are made in China. Anything more local.
I got mine but the love handles (or sides of his gut near his hips) aren't fully connected so whenever I try to pose the figure and get him into a crouching stance it opens up. I'm afraid to use glue on it or anything because I don't want to mess up the articulation. Any suggestions?
ive been on a "i hate the BaF format" kick for a bit now. i was wondering if you guys would leave a comment here saying if you are a fan of them or not. P.S. i hope this doesnt shanghai Robos comment section(yes i do).
didn't some of the older spidey figures use soft goods for the web wings? but yeah, it seems like they're almost at the perfect spidey figure. it needs the hinge neck from this and the toes from the vows spidey and you'll be almost the best you can get him from a $20 figure.
The ToyBiz version of the Amazing Fantasy Spider-Man had a black mesh fabric piece. I think it had loops that went around the neck and wrists. It obscured the back, but it worked well enough. As a fan of the webs, I'm thinking about getting some mesh fabric and gluing it between the upper torso and biceps. Not sure how well it'll work, but I've got Spideys to spare.
I wish you had done a comparison with the Toybiz Marvel Legends version (which was sculpted by Four Horsemen Studios). This one is probably better, but I need to see a side-by-side to know for sure.
I don't have much left from the Toy Biz days. I keep a lot of older figures just in case, or if I can use them for customs or something, but I just don't care about many figures from that era and have gotten rid of them, through trades or giving them to kids in the family.
I think they've put out a cell shaded Spidey on this buck with light blue instead of black and a Spidey logo not an ink splat. Without the cell shading I could go for that.😀
Favorite ML Spidey in years. The Amazing Friends 3 pack version in blue looks good and would probably be my main shelf Spidey but that Iceman kinda ruins the whole set for me.

"Never tempt a southern gentleman with a coupon"- got me to laugh on that. Nicely done
This is the first Marvel Legend I have picked up in yeaaaars! Couldn't resist a classic pinless Spidey! The pinless double joints really elevates the figure to the next level! Cool review. -Justin
Hey Justin lol
@@dubbela07 hey dude
This Amazing Fantasy Spider-Man is amazingly fantastic. Probably the best one yet.
I agree so much!!! But on mine, there are some very minor QC issues and wondering if I should get another or just leave it alone.
"Neva teumpt a suthun gennalmun witha kewpawn" is my new favorite phrase
6:40 the thought of spiderman being tossed around by robo testing the gripping made me laugh for some reason. i liked that
Amazing Fantasy Spider Man + Renew your Vows feet = perfection
Gah! That IS a good idea!
I love this figure I've used it as a base for a updated Miles, and nightcrawler, and if you trimm a small amount from the lower belly he crunchs better then a MAFEX, and to go a bit farther shave the hips so the legs raise past his chest for the best low crouching poses, seriously it's a small amount of modding that goes a long way, if this had neck articulation it would probably be the best hands down
Care to share pics with a google drive link or some tut on this please?

That thumbnail is just pure happiness and perfection
It's my main display Spider-Man. The head sculpt and clean paint on mine is perfect, and this is what I think of as Spidey. Not really into the really big bug eyes look like the one in the Spinnette 2-pack.
To get a tiny bit more range on the butterfly joints, you can extend his arm out horizontally and then move it forward or backwards.
Amazing Thumbnail. Spectacular Thumbnail.
Best ML spidey mold to date.
Just got mine from pulse yesterday!!!! great timing Robo
This figure is possibly the Legends figure of the year for me. Such a simple and yet elegant Spiderman figure.
Oh man, elegant, that's a great description.
The only one that's going to beat this for me is the Animated version, if it gets to me in time.
I keep hoping for that web-wings breakthrough, too. I do wish this figure was leaner (more like the Miles figure) and had a tighter, more intricate web pattern (like the ToyBiz first appearance figure). Still, darn good.
It’s an amazing wonderful figure I got mine and I love it 👍👍👍 and great review fwoosh!!!
Playday idea!
1. Shoulder module AND
2. Switch the feet with RYV Spider-Man for toe articulation
My favourite recent Spidey. He scales much better than the giant retro Spidey buck, and has the physique of a teenager, not a bodybuilder.

The long neck and low shoulders on that Retro Spidey makes him look like the movie Lizard in disguise, especially side by side with the others.
What a awesome action figure review 👍🙂😇👏Robo Fwoosh.
That thumbnail is great!
Aesthetics aside the biggest benefit of pinless joints is joints are more solid and less prone to warping and elbows get more bend.
I base a lot of purchases around your reviews or overview. I will add this making a Spiderverse shelf and it will be very nice had this order through my job now I feel confident about getting it.
Wait, you're just putting yours up now? I also just got mine. I figured I was too late to the party. You do what you want, big dog! 🤘🕸️❤️💙
This one is my first marvel legends collection, very great figure!

The "petite pieces" joke got me 🤣🤣🤣
Even though I prefer the jacked RYV Spidey haha, the standard neck hinge works so much better making AF Spidey my new favorite. Can’t wait for the amazing friends pack for the blues and less TickMan logo. Thanks for the video!
OH! I just noticed the Watcher on the top left corner of the screen! Ha! I love that!!!
Love the thumbnail picture
I ignored every other review like "Nah I'll wait for Robo. 😎"
If you want to, the feet pegs for AF and RyV Spidermen are the same, meaning that you can give the AF Spiderman toe joints.
I saw someone switch the feet from the pizza Spider-Man to this Spider-Man in order to get the added toe articulation
I think this amazing fantasy spider man is a far improvement from the retro Spidey. And the best for now. I can't stop playing with this figure lol
Checking back in on this video now that Hasbro is reissuing this AF Spider-Man on a retro card (Target Exclusive). Only difference is that the retro card will have a blue spider on the back of the figure as seen in the original comic

I'm shopping for a second AF Spidey so I can do just that!

I use the web to hang from a nail in my wall in the classic upside down pose
My favorite Spidey remains the Peter Sentinel, however I was very impressed with this figure and can't wait to get the Walmart Animated and Amazing Friends versions, which are one the same body and I will pose more (currently I got my AF15 Spidey into the 1st appearance cover pose and can't bring myself to change it).
Yo robo I can finally say I'm apart of the customizing community I ordered 80$ of stuff to customize a hugh Jackman wolverine

I can't wait to pre order the target exclusive figure thats similar
Aaaaaaand I'm noticing that yours doesn't break in half when you work the ab crunch. I guess that's a special feature on mine...
i love how it looks, im just disappointed it doenst have the blue back spider 😢☹️

i had the original which had fabric wings which easily folded
Beautiful fig, nice review
Haven't picked up any new spideys lately kinda want the two pack love set or whatever its called but I'm burnt out on marvel legends
i just recieved mine yesterday and then you uploaded! loving the figure so far

Where do I find that Spider-Man shirt?? 👀
Best marvel legends Spider-Man
Damn it, I may need this.
Love the thumbnail! ☺️
Tickman: his powers are to leech off people in their house
I think this mold is a good basic sized mold for Spider Man, not too large like the new Renew your Vows Spider Man(not that that’s bad)
I got mine but the love handles (or sides of his gut near his hips) aren't fully connected so whenever I try to pose the figure and get him into a crouching stance it opens up. I'm afraid to use glue on it or anything because I don't want to mess up the articulation. Any suggestions?
I definitely love this fig, but I do wish the logo on the back was blue so it was accurate.
I do wish he came with a Peter Parker head, but you could probably use the Retro-Card Peter (especially with those big Ol’ Ditko glasses).
I initially wanted this figure, but I'm holding out for the RYV Spidey to be eventually released by himself (hopefully!)
ive been on a "i hate the BaF format" kick for a bit now. i was wondering if you guys would leave a comment here saying if you are a fan of them or not. P.S. i hope this doesnt shanghai Robos comment section(yes i do).

"Does whatever a tick can". What a great looking and well articulated figure.
Anyone know where that Spider-Man shirt came from?
Thats a cute action figure...
Where's the instep hinge?
mine didn’t come with web wings
I got the renew your vows 2pk instead but yeah I think I'm going back to get this one once my other preorders clear lol!
I think he is pretty cool! ✌️
Lol Tick-Man!
When he has too much blood he turns green.
In hand this figure wins for Best Spider-Man so far.
Tick-Man is superior to Spider-Man change my mind
Tick-Man Sucks.
Your mind doesn't need changed, ur opinion is your opinion man!
@@TheSpiderWarden You didn’t get the joke.
