Aahh! Grunn was made by my brother, tom. I have been watching you for a long time and it makes me so happy you had a good time playing Grunn! He worked very hard on it and it deserves all the loveee. Thankyou Gab for being amazing!
lol just like when she gets really into customer service, preparing coffees, cleaning etc in the myriad of low wage job horror games she has played. Compared to Sean who almost has a mental breakdown with each one before the horror even appears!
This game is perfect to imagine the NPC's point of view. Imagine you see a random man coming out of a secret passage, immediately plays the trumpet and proceeds to chop your shop bushes without a word 😂
As a dutchy who is coming from the countryside that this game is based upon is just mesmerizing, it's amazing to see it being represented in such a lovely way! funny to even have references of the heavy dialect being not understandable, which is so true XD
The graphics on this game are just so delightful I'm loving the "chill task turns into horror" games like this and Moving House and I love watching your playthroughs of them!
That was the only way I managed the past two months, was sick the week before Christmas and then the week after new years. Both times for about two weeks, and I’m just getting better now.
I thought I was the only one thinking about the lack of a mower! At least a push mower to plow through all the grass better instead of shears, which are not really meant for grass.
@@carleebaldwin8172 That was literally me, about a decade ago. It was the first place I ever rented, and I needed to maintain the garden. All I had was sheers, and I didn't know any better. The area wasn't that big, an hour total (sheers, mow, rake, etc), maybe. With only sheers, terrible heyfever, and my own fussyness, it took me 6 hours. By the end of it, I was an absolute mess, all red and itchy. It looked amzaing... but was not worth it.
Hello!! Hope all is well enjoying the video. Just wanted to say I read The Haunting of Leigh Harker by Darcy Coates, and it was amazing! I'm trying to get back into reading again and took a lot of your recommendations. Can't wait to read some more! Thanks again ❤
the worst kind of tattoo pain is when it's already fully healed and the body decides to remind you, "hey, remember this?" and it gets this annoying dull ache all over the area.
I swear I dreamt you had a Grunn playthrough up already. Finding you're uploading one just now is creepy but also SUPER COOL, DREAMS DO COME TRUE GUYSSS!!! LET'S GOOOO

i tried playing the demo (thinking it was being serious about being just a chill gardening game lol) until i got startled by the guy once and said nope, no thanks. watching gab play is good though ❤
Gab, if you like games like this, Scene Investigators, and the Painscreek Killings, you might like Conrad Stevenson's Paranormal P.I. You are a supernatural investigator looking to find evidence of ghosts. Along the way, you learn the ghosts' stories so you can successfully exorcise them.
Me on the couch cozy watching Gab with a mouth full of dinner when I see Harold Halibut as an option, scream “HAROLD HALIBUT!!!” damn near choked. Was much too excited for it to be an option haha. 😂
My mom always told me that to lower fat or sugar there had to be other additives that don’t really make the benefits worth it. Plus some diets are high fat and healthy. So eat that mayonnaise!
This has been a wonderful video for staying relaxed during a really hard time. You're my go-to comfy channel! Thank you for the good vibes as always Gab ❤
I had a feeling it takes place in Groningen because of the eggball. But then I looked up the name, Grunn just means Groningen, it's how they pronounce it there😂
Hey Gab. I just wanted to drop a note to say thank you. Your videos are like a comfort blanket for me. You've such a chill vibe, so relaxing, even the scary stuff, I just instantly feel. Im probably a little older than your target audience, but hey. And the running joke with my husband is when I tell him something, I follow it up with "I learned that from Nancy Drew" 😂. And I'm not even slightly jealous of your reMarkable...
When I saw the title Grunn I thought of the (I guess dialect?) word for Groningen, which would make sense for the country side theme! Silly side note: love the little "doot doot" trumpet 😂
Is it like «Grunn» as in dialect for the city of «Groningen?» 😂 That would make sense with when the note said «here in the north» as the city of Groningen is in the north of the Netherlands 🤔 I feel ya when you have to search for Dutch words, I also have been living abroad for many years already and sometimes now struggle to remember some Dutch words 😅 Ps. this poor gardener needs a proper lawnmower instead of having to cut grass with shears 😅
I just love how kind and calm and chill and just all around wholesome Gabs comment sections are. We’re a very chill group. What are we called tho, Gabs goobers? 😂❤
Oh my, the handsome boi is matching shirt with his mama. Ugh the temptation to match with my boi but remembering we live in a warm country and he can't even be in the sun for too long without sweating from his nose and coat.🤣🤣
I heard you mention this game to Eeowna and I was thinking it sounded like a fun one to watch so I'm glad to see this on UA-cam! Next chance I have some down time I will watch this. Thank you!
This is like a horror version of Groundhog Day, except the days reset when you die. You get better and better at the game until eventually it's like second nature. Very cool game.
Sees Signalis on the list. YOU NEED TO PLAY SIGNALIS YOU READING THIS NEED TO PLAY SIGNALIS. It is one of the best survival horrors out there, it's so unique and so wonderfully effortlessly queer.
After... y'know, the election, I started looking into Nordic countries because they rank very high as safe places for women and LGBT+ people, I am both, and it's where my ancestors are from. So I started learning the languages (although they speak excellent English), with a focus on Danish. Because of some tiny similarities to German, something I learned in the process is that the Nordic languages are classed as North Germanic languages (no surprise) and that Dutch, German, Frisian, and English are all classed as West Germanic languages. So it's no surprise that many words are the same in English and Dutch. Although there are lots of differences, lol. Something I like about Duolingo is that the basics of many languages are at my fingertips. Amongst the fistfuls of languages I have on my account, Dutch is one of them. Although I only started it after the Nordic languages, so very recently, lol. It's so fun!
I'm hoping for a game one day where Gab can take us down the streets of somewhere/anywhere in the Netherlands and explain to us the vocab and all the quirks that happens in a typical Dutch place, like she does with the many Japanese games
I was so confused that you didn't know stuff and then I realised I watched Ethan play a bit of this game. Btw I don't understand choosing mayo and not bearnaise. Here in Sweden that's like the holy grail of fatty sauces. I love it with my pizza my fries, my meat, everything. For those who don't know it's related to mayo but it's seasoned and more luxurious.
You know it's a good game when Gab doesn't realize she's been playing past her bedtime and Sean has to come to her office to ask if she's coming to bed XD
We hadden het erover tijdens de stream, het is wss ook gebaseerd op een dorpje in groningen! ('Countryside in the netherlands' en ze hebben het over het Noorden)
A really fun game, but I honestly don't know if I'd have the patience always to start from the beginning XD I was really rooting for the Resi 4 dlc there, but not this time I guess....
I'll come back and finish this, but I actually want to play for for myself! If you haven't already, I don't know if it's your play style, but I've really been enjoying a game called Wildermyth. It's sort of a strategy RPG of sorts, but the art style is really fun and there are different campaigns with different stories.

My wife and I are so excited to play it!
Can I ask something? Is the name based on how people from Groningen pronounce the city/province?
i loved it only got one ending on my channel but do intend to dive deeper in future! was kool to see Gabz play it 2!
♡♡♡♡
Gab talking about food while hyper focused on cutting grass in a game that’s supposed to have horror elements is such a vibe and I’m here for it 🤣

Gab: *singing along happily*

I've decided, I'll watch Gab first then Jack
I like to do that too because it makes it way funnier when Gabs is so streamline and Jack is just like "WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON?!" 😂
I did the opposite lol
Same issue here lol
I did the LA fire livestream over on gamegrumps, donated, now for gab! Sorry Sean 🫡 you’ve come last

I always do whoever pops on my front page first. It was Gab today!

That was the only way I managed the past two months, was sick the week before Christmas and then the week after new years. Both times for about two weeks, and I’m just getting better now.
yeah me too i got sick 25th of december and been sick ever since

same here! feel better soon!
2:47 -- the absolute worst is when you get that jolt of pain and it turns into itching
Especially if it's a scabby spot. The desire to pick like I'm a snake shedding skin 😩
Shears!? I'd be dead after 2 minutes. They need to get a lawnmower.
I thought I was the only one thinking about the lack of a mower! At least a push mower to plow through all the grass better instead of shears, which are not really meant for grass.
Totally! I feel like with shears I'd get so fixated on the little details and spend hours on one little patch of grass lol
Even a string cutter!

Don't end it like that.
Surely make gardening fun with your joyful singing! I would hire a gardener who was that excited about their work and if I actually had a garden...
This game would be cute as a non-horror game, too. Like a little puzzle game, like Untitled Goose Game.
Hello!! Hope all is well enjoying the video. Just wanted to say I read The Haunting of Leigh Harker by Darcy Coates, and it was amazing! I'm trying to get back into reading again and took a lot of your recommendations. Can't wait to read some more! Thanks again ❤
So glad you liked it!!
Do they not have mechanical push mowers in the Netherlands? Not even lawn scythes? That's the real horror; the one who trims their lawn with shears.
Didn't you know? This is not a game, it's a documentary about the true horrors of being a gardener.
I love Gab say oh there is a dude there and resumes singing while cutting 😂
the worst kind of tattoo pain is when it's already fully healed and the body decides to remind you, "hey, remember this?" and it gets this annoying dull ache all over the area.

Gab must be the happiest gardener in the world.
As soon as you said the name Tom the Dutch way all I could think of was Ahti!
Somebody who has played this, PLEASE tell me what happens when you give the medal to the snail!
IIRC, it gets put on the ground near the snail, you get an achievement, and the snail's tooltip changes to say it looks very proud
