One big difference between the main canon and the anime is just how many more characters are criminals/baddies in the anime, including Octoman, Billy, Baba, Gomar & Shioh, The Skull, Bio Rex, and to some extent Jack Levin (before he left the Bloody Chain gang). ... Why'd they have to do my boys Gomar and Shioh dirty like that?
Plenty of older anime seemed to always have non-humans as enemies for some reason. Also, in terms of writing, if you only used the villains by themselves, you would end up limiting yourself. Try to picture how the anime would be if the only villains were Black Shadow, Blood Falcon, Miss Killer, and Michael Chain for instance. They would either have to create new characters to give the Elite Mobile Task force an equal amount of enemies.
Lucy whipping out the missile circus while Lisa bringing out her crab robot did caught the eye of Mr. Zero which he promptly calls for a disqualification of all racers in that episode...comedically I might add. XD Some of the girls were literally at each other's throats at the time so they just got pissed.
I feel like if the higher ups at Nintendo watched Falcon Densetsu, maybe then they'll understand why us F-Zero fams are so passionate for another game cuz there's alot of lore and other things in all 51 episodes that they could use as ideas for a new F-Zero game.
Beautiful memories of a beautiful cartoon. We would follow all the stuff of Rick Wheeler and Bart/Falcon on my small TV set in 2007 Italian afternoon. And I'm so glad that the TV broke on the last episode: I knew Falcon was going to die, it would have been a too strong feeling for the 16 y. O me.
My issue are that the stories of the characters in the games are so much intriguing and interesting that those in the anime. They massacred my skull boy. Sad face. 🤣🤣
Considering we have animated shows and movies that are nearly (or are based on) 1:1 versions of comics (like Batman: Gaslight or TMNT vs. Batman), it gets even easier to imagine what might have been if there was an F-Zero animation that brought the written bios, interviews, or even some of the endings to life. Still I do like the anime in general. But it certainly felt more "original" rather than use a lot more of the source material.
I love everything F-Zero. Your videos are great. If you need some more content to review, I have a fan-made F-Zero movie trailer... I wanna start a campaign to sell a screenplay cuz it's the only F-Zero script I know of. Tell me what you think! Cheers mate
I have a question, is the rick wheeler character from the anime and the GBA games (minus maximun velocity) and other anime characters canonical or does it have something to do with the F-ZERO console games?
@@paulorenansena9881 It may be. F-Zero Climax did bring the Boost Fire and Reactor Mights into its gameplay, so some new installment could borrow from that.
GPL and GX are distinct canons, with I assume the former drawing from X primarily. And while we're at it I assume Maximum Velocity is its own canon as well.

@custom-r this is a really good point that I don't see many other fans considering
@@custom-r I understand Billy and Bio Rex, but so many good characters were just done dirty...
Octo man could be seen as being forced to work for dark million
A GX game mixed with GPL characters and lore would be a winning recipe for sure. They both have their pros and cons for sure
Climax was atleast trying to mix them lore-wise, even hinting at Deathborne afaik
Two lore related videos are still in the works.

It's been a long time since you made an F-Zero video! Well done!

Blast it all. I thought I got rid of that
Hey thanks for the extra Lisa screenshots
even tho they are not DVD quality....

We all meme about the falcon punch scene, but it's time to accept the anime killed the franchise for almost 2 decades.
It was bad.

The anime characters are non canon, and if it ever turns out they were, the connection lies on Phoenix and Black Shadow.
The anime is in a completely different universe from the original games.
but is it possible to bring the anime elements to some new F-ZERO with a new story mode like this being canonical?
