  • Due to People using my videos without permission I will post this at the top of my original videos, rather than at the bottom: NO REUSE OF MY VIDEOS IS PERMITTED WITHOUT MY CONSENT.
    This is just a quick video that I made to help you all learn how to fillet and debone a fish. Not all fish have the exact same bone structure, but the whitefish that I used is a good example for most of the fish around here and those that I am aware of. If there are any more questions, feel free to ask below.

    Thanks for posting this. It's awesome that you take the time to explain what you're doing and show it on camera. Too many fish filleting videos on youtube show an expert filleting the fish in 60 seconds with no explanations.... that is of no help to someone trying to learn!

    Thanks for the video, very informative. Would this same procedure work well on cod?
    Also, a friendly tip for you, if you put a damp rag under your cutting board, it will stay in place. Probably would be especially helpful since you are trying to film at the same time.

      No problem! It would work perfectly fine for cod.
      That definitely would have been smart. Now days I have a grip mat to put below it.

    How do you debone a SMOKED whitefish? Is it the same procedure?

      It is pretty much the exact same. I personally remove the bones before I smoke fish though.

    Hi great video best one to learn from. Question how do you dry whitefish to make fish jerky?

      Thanks, I've honestly never simply dried it, but smoking it in a smoker long enough can make it more or less into a fish jerky.

    Great vid. Wish the camera angle was a bit higher. Couldn't see the good stuff.

    How is whitefish? I may have had it once as fish and chips but donr really remember

    • @Attic2U
      @Attic2U  3 роки тому

      It's really good. Pretty comparable to cod if you make fish and chips out of it.

      I love fish and chips it’s my favorite appetizer/entree of all time especially since it originated in Great Britain.

      I like trout skin, but I've never been a fan of white fish skin...
