What do you think of the Sanctum? Are you going to be picking this set up?
Um, yes!
I hope
Yes ima save up for it
It's either that or the Bugle for me
it’s AWSOME
Crème brûlée is what doctor strange promised Christine in the what if episode.
yeah looking for this comment, made it sound like it was just a track name lol
There it is, I was worried no one else caught this
Bruh, it’s so sad. I’m not crying, you are!😂
that's waht i thought when i saw the reference
He said that in the review that it was a reference to what if 😂😂
The time stones in the dumpster could be a reference to where Tony suggests throwing the time stone in the garbage disposal in Infinity War
Ha I didn’t think of that
The picture of Strange and Wong in front of some mountains is a reference to Spiderman No Way Home. When Wong left a portal open and an avalanche came through the portal into the Sanctum.
I was thinking that too
haha i was literally just about to comment about that.
Wasn't strange dusted at that point? Also, wasn't it one of the gateways not a portal?
@@gtortillaz21 I never thought that strange wasn't there, they never make that distinction in the movie, strange just blames everything on wong. I think that your right though, it was a gateway, not a portal. It is possible that Lego is still referencing this even if they got some of the facts wrong.
Maybe it’s after they move all the snow back 😂
7:40 the time stones reference when tony said “well why don’t we just throw it down a garbage bin or something he won’t look there” in infinity war
He says "stick this one down the garbage disposal" which is a thing you put in your sink. Close though!
Personally I love the build, but I think the minifigures are ok, my biggest issue is I don't think we got enough minifigures. We should've gotten America Chavez, alive Defender Strange, that big guy that follows Thanos, Tony in a hoodie, the villain from Doctor Strange 1, the ancient one, MCU Mordo, Bruce Banner, Thor and Loki. The build is really what's driving me to buy this set.
I’m in love with this set and I honestly really want to get it because it’ll look amazing with my “Marvel Display” and also I actually really do like it. My complaints are definitely the figures, imo Infinity War figs > Doctor Strange (the IW figs are more pleasing for me to see tbh), and honestly I kinda wanted more from this tbh. But overall, good review and I’m waiting to see the Easter Eggs video and Combining it with The Daily Bugle!
Hard to say whether i would buy it or not. The building looks very cool - but i am very sad abou the minifigures which i love to collect normally. Apart from the iron man helmet issue, they could have just give us the strange variations more accurate to the movie, replace ebony maw with strange supreme, who was also known from funko pops, or actually replace iron man with thor´s street look from ragnarok
They probably based the fig's on concept art.
I agree the figures are disappointing, no exclusive characters, only variations on what we have. I think they should have upped the price to the same as the bugle, give us Christine Palmer and casilias and lose the ally at the back to allow more space inside. As it is it's a painful pass.
@@potatopete3703
Then is Dead Strange not exclusive?
I agree
I dont really see the need of iron man in this because he was already in the infinity war sanctum set
@@potatopete3703 spider-man, mordo, maw, wanda, wong, iron man actually, and evil strange are exclusive
The photograph of Wong and Strange in the icy mountains is probably a refrence to Spider-Man No Way Home because he explains that he left a portal open to the Sanctum and a blizzard comes through and freezes the sanctum over.
I think the purple thing on the shelf at around 15:42 is a reference to the chitauri tech from spider-man homecoming
I just got the Daily Bugle and it is amazing. Definitely worth it by being a Lego and a Spider-Man fan. Will definitely be picking this up when it releases to go along with the Bugle.
I look at mine daily! Definitely a good purchase
Should I get either the sanctum or daily bugle which should I choose?
The design of the Dark Dimension is very classic comic book, rather than the movies and I love it
The "lava lamp" on the shelf is the same build in the Homecoming set where it's one of the items in the crates Vulture is stealing, so it could be Chtari tech
Isn't Chitaurie tech golden?
@@Ashnflash I think its one of the batteries that Peter and ned experiment on that ends up being a bomb
@@Ashnflash yes golden and purple
No it’s the lantern from multiverse of madness that Christine uses to fight the souls of the damned
@@teisenschifelbine4403 I just looked back its not, maybe I'm wrong but correct me If I am
This set looks so cool! Can’t wait to pick it up.
Same
17:06 as well as being a song from that episode it was also what strange promised christine palmer before she died in that same episode
31:34 That gunmetal helmet is PERFECT for Black Knight. I'm currently using the grey and gold one from a CMF series, but this colour suits the character way better imo
This set is absolutley incredible. I think the build is fantastic and the minifigures are alright. I feel like for minifigures, they were only allowed a few characters which is why we get so much Doctor Strange. Maybe 10 figures would be better, adding Thor and America Chavez. Also, just combining the Wanda figures will make the final product 10/10. Overall, gonna be picking this up day one, no hesitation.
As soon as I saw the pictures from lego I noticed the watcher in the dark dimension it's a very cool reference.
The picture of strange and Wong on the first floor could be a reference to their appearance in No Way Home when the portal was left open to the Himalayas and it froze the Sanctum. That’s the only time we’ve seen Wong in his big heavy coat.
The coffee hidden compartment is actually a reference to the designers. In an interview with one of the designers of the Benetar (On TommyCBricks channel) he stated that they have a joke running in their design team with coffee. They like to incorporate it inside of most of their builds. I guess they couldn’t find a spot in this particular one.
Imagine if the roof had the ability to bury dead strange, and have him break out free of it when Dr Strange dream walks him!
I love these sets that are like all of these different things happening at different times but also paradoxically happening at the same time
I think the snowy scene is a reference to no way home when SOMEONE didn’t close the portal back to the sanctum
I think it’s fine Wanda doesn’t have a cape (she doesn’t wear one in Multiverse of Madness), but they should’ve included a skirt piece since it wouldn’t by a cape
On the top floor the hat and axes are a reference to when strange tries to grab them to fight kicilius, but the cloak of levitation pulls him to the black device
I think the purple lava lamp is a reference to the glowing thing in Neds backpack in Homecoming as it was built the same in those sets!
I think the blue crystal could be a real crystal reference because it’s the same color as the set version and the same build as it’s case in the gardens, right down to the colors
While I am also deeply disappointed with the figure selection, especially when comparing this set to the bugle, I’m still happy with what we got. The color inaccuracies on sinister and zombie strange don’t bother me as much, so I think those figures are incredible! The Wanda torso and crown prints are superb, though the lack of a waistcoat or at least some leg printing is very frustrating. Spider-Man figure is amazing, though I would have loved to get an updated iron spider. Figures aside, however, the build is absolutely Bugle quality and I am so excited to be able to display the two together someday 😁
Rewatching the movie again and seeing the IRL suit pics for Defender Strange (who became Dead Strange later) they all had dark blue and not black outfits (basically like IW Cap). Granted the movie had it darker than Lego but definitely not black so I think what we got is fine.
Yes but the Bugle is very disappointing in terms of build itself. Boring and the end result is a high messy visually unpleasant mess.
@@ChristopherGains While I personally love the end result of the Bugle, I have to agree that the Sanctum has a much more visually compelling exterior, and the Bugle’s building process can definitely be very tedious at times 😅
@@SableBear296 the bugle looks like someone only bought 2 types of bricks and threw their mini figs all over it with superglue
@@ChristopherGains Lmao 💀
Gotta love the “illegal” building techniques for the chimneys
you know the set is good when review is 40 minutes
I love the portals on the sides
The painting with wong and dr strange on the mountain on the first floor is a reference to no way home when they say a blizzard from Siberia blew in
Only $24.99!!! what a deal!!! I am buying 10 of them!
PFFFF LOLL
So excited for this set, gonna be adding it to my Daily Bugle and Boutique Hotel to create my very own "Marvel Modular New York". Kind of annoyed that Lego isn't doing pre-orders for this set, but I guess im pulling an all nighter on the 31st lol
Maybe the “lava lamp” on the first floor is supposed to be the egg thing from homecoming?
Also could the tesseract reference Bruce falling through the stairs after thanos takes the space stone?
Yes. I think that’s meant to be a Chitauri energy core.
Just bought the daily bugle and I’m planning on buying this when it comes out. Pretty excited for this set.
It’s good but it needed way more minifigs. The daily bugle had like 25 I think and maybe more
14:59 I thought it was a reference to Toby's spidey/pizzatime😂
Super excited for this one. I love lego buildings but only ogt into LEGO in recent years. I loved the original set but obviously it was already super pricey by the time i coudl see it. Glad this includes both the spider-man (shame its not the iron spider) and strange too. What a beautiful set!
Thanks so much for a great and thorough review!
Side note: 99.9% sure the green chair at 11:55 is the exact same build from the 76108 Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown set. Honestly, I love it and agree with the "don't mess with a classic" ethos LEGO used here.
Everything about this is great except that back ally way. The Teli bugle has this problem too but that one is a straight modular builder which means other ones can go next to it doesn’t look too weird. But this one’s a corner and I feel like that space will make it just leave very strange gap
The purple “lava lamp” is the same little build they used for the chitari stuff in the homecoming set with shockers van doubt it has anything to do with it but is interesting
already said that lol
@@fishbrix3809 oh… 😅
I have an idea on what that photo of strange and wong that are freezing on the first floor could be, maybe it’s a reference to no way home where they tell that someone opened a portal to Antarctica and there was a snowstorm that filled up the sanctum with snow
Outside looks great, but the interior is a bit cramped length wise especially for the price. The interchangeable walls are an awesome idea. The minifigs seem like an afterthought: lack of them and lack of proper printing.
I really hope Lego keeps on making these large scale Marvel modulars. Would love to see an Oscorp, the X-Mansion, and my personal favorite, the Baxter Building. There are so many iconic locations in Marvel, it would be a shame if they stopped it here.
They are releasing a new avengers tower for Black Friday that is going to be over $500 and also I’m 2024 the X-men mansion.
Absolutely gonna get this day-one, I’m so excited for it. But there are a lot of things I would change. For one, they have all these references to Ragnorok, yet no Thor and Loki figures. Why not? And two, they really wasted that space behind the stairs, that should’ve been the croft/basement from NWH. It could’ve had the same Ned/MJ figures we already had. And then they completely ignored the first Doctor Strange film basically. Also, WHERE is Christine?
The time stones in the trash bin is a reference to Tony Stark saying to dr strange that "if thanos wants this stone so bad why don't we just throw it in the trash bin" and the lettering on the tesseract like printed piece is probably cosmic cube
Yep
He says "stick this one down the garbage disposal" which is a thing you put in your sink. Close though!
@@Ashnflash oh yeah right that´s the line
Set should've came with a Cull Obsidian bigfig (and maybe also a Bruce Banner) to complete the minifigs.
Thanks for the review! The set does seem a little bit small for the price point, and the minifigs included aren't great. Still, I think it would be a great display piece for any Marvel fans.
30:50 Is not Wong , is the Ancient One . I waited so long for this review and you are the only one who did it now and thank you for that . The set is great ,i like it much more than the Daily Buglle , because Doctor Strange is my favorite Marvel caracter . All the references , to other movies , the functions , those walls than you can put as you want , its wow , just wow , genius . I saw the book in the pictures and i was thinking if its really a book , and i was hoping it would be Vincent ..i dont know the name , that from Multiverse of Madness , but i am glad its a book and i think its also the book that appeared in What if , episode 4 . I would like to get this set nex year , then i will be 18 years old and i will be able to get a job . And take my set with Gargantos , No Way Home and Endgame final battle , to change the other Stranges hair pieces with the one Strange has , because i dont like them . I cant belive i didnt notice the Wacher from the pictures , just now . Super Review , respect , i love this set soo much .
Book of Vishanti
Glad you liked the review! Thank you!
However I do believe it is Wong. Both the eyes and lack of female lip details makes me think that.
The first floor is too tiny. The entrance is so grandiose in the movies. In the LEGO, it’s like you open the doors and trip on the first step. Like in no way home, when people are cleaning snow in the sanctum.
the one picture where they're cold is a reference to no way home because there was snow on the floor in the start. and they said it was because it came trough a portal.
I hope LEGO will continue this trend by releasing a different marvel modular each year. Next year idk what they can do but an Avengers/Stark tower are way overdue. Also, they can surprise us with an Avengers Mansion. In 2024 we can see the Baxter Building to go with the F4 movie that will come out by then.
And there are way more ideas for Marvel Modulars such as X Mansion and Oscorp and a lot of other cool stuff.
Tower is out in October for $500 btw
@@xGhostCat it's not confirmed yet but if its actually happening then that's great and just proves that Lego should continue the trend
@@pokezod7832 theres nothing else logically a $500 D2C could be.
@@xGhostCat Still though you never know. It's also illogical to have a 187th Legion Fighter Tank but still there is.
I can think of many $500 sets. But yes, the Tower has never been confirmed.
The law times was referenced in the lego daily bugle with a photo of Nelson and Murdock and the black widow symbol could be a reference to daredevil and black widows relationship in the comics.
Feel free to call me dumb but I think a nice follow up / connection to this set would be a marvel apartment building set, we could see rooms for Peter parker, Shang chi, ms marvel, ant man, Hawkeye (a bit of a stretch), killmonger (a stretch). Maybe a secret hydra / shield section under a staircase. Yes not tied to a movie or comic but I think it could be cool none the less
Bro what 💀💀 Might as well make a Marvel hotel and a Mavel restaurant with all the heroes 😂
Maybe a moc like that sitcom apt building
9:11 There's also some text saying "❤GA" a reference to the fact most Marvel movies, specifically this scene from Infinity War, are filmed in Georgia
This set is amazing!!! Love all the minifigs and details throughout the build :)
I believe the dumpster time stones are a reference to when tony said "lets just chuck down the garbage shoot"
The time stones in the trash may be a reference to Tony saying, "why don't we just put this one in thr trash," in infinity wars
The Law Times is the newspaper that Matt Murdock and Foggy Nelson appear on in the Bugle so that's a really nice touch for people planning to connect it to the Bugle like I am
The paper with the apple is the poisoned apple form snow white because there's a set coming in august that is the second set to come with snow white!
The picture of the mountain place with the portal is a reference to the gag from no way home where the sanctum is covered in snow
Out side looks amazing, maybe could be less cramped inside but still think it’s great or good, my main question is which side to connect this to the bugle
You can connect the left side to the right side of the bugle or the back to the left side
What an absolutely INSANE set!!! The building itself is perfect and I love all the little details and references! (So many references!) The minifigures are kinda lack luster however, should've been more detailed and should've included more! If there weren't those problems with the minifigures, this set would be an easy 10/10; but as it stands, I give it a 9/10!
“This set will be 24 dollars.”
Canada: “this set is 300, please help me”
Time stones in the trash could be a reference to tony telling strange to throw the stone out to keep it away from thanos in infinity war?
7:43 is a reference to infinity war when tony said "If Thanos needs all six,
why don't we just stick this one down
a garbage disposal?"
I think there might be a guardians of the galaxy Easter egg on the roof. Next to the plants there is a white pot with a twig inside that I believe is baby groot.
Thats an interesting thought!
I believe the tesseract under the stairs is supposed to be an infinity war reference as that’s where Bruce banner crashed through the stairs
It's actually more accurate that Spider Man has his Stark Suit and not Iron Spider because he's in his Stark suit in this scene, he only gains the Iron Spider suit in a later scene when they're going to space.
I was just thinking about how I think the picture with wong and Dr. Strange when they are in the snow and a portal is there might be a reference to Spider-Man no way home whenever Peter Parker goes to Dr strange and there is snow everywhere and they said it was from a portal
I need a Wayne Tower or LexCorp in this style please!
I think the time stone in the trash is a reference to infinity war when Tony told Dr. Strange to throw the stone in the trash so Thanos won't get it
I think one of the main reasons the time stone is. In the bin is because in infinity war Tony Stark says "why not stick this one down the garbage disposal? So Thanos cant get it" could be a reference to that
I always thought Swarma or however u spell it was some kinda spa 🤣
I’m pretty sure the time stones in the bin is a reference to tony saying “can’t we just throw it in the bin” in infinity war after learning about the stones
24:08 That bottle also reminds me of the bottle of Panacea in The Oath comics.
Dang it this set is incredible
I don't wanna actually watch this video till august but I'm looking at the build for now as a sneak peak and beautiful
Maybe people can use ebony Maw's head to build vecna.
Shady Acres is the name of the nursing home in a bunch of pop culture stuff. South park has one and I think it is where happy gilmores mom was as well
Im pretty sure the last time we got a Stark Suit that wasnt from the CMF was that one Far From Home set
I will never understand why lego stopped giving wanda the skirt peice she had in her civil war version
They should do Mayne manner DC COMICS LEGO DC SET @
The snowy picture is probably a reference to the blizzard that blew through at the start of no way home
27:04
I think that that is meant to be the mug he uses in No Way Home. The one that says, "For fox sake" on it.
I want this so much
I like how he removes the entire wall to show the fridge then he holds the fridge when he could’ve just took out the fridge
My favorites it's Lego Marvel Studios 2022 Infinity Saga Sanctum Sanctorum Set
The magic book is a reference to Ant-man‘s Close up magic in Ant-man and the wasp
I don’t have the time to watch right now but I hope you put a Squidward head on Ebony Maw as a joke
Next year I honestly want the avenger tower.
24:18 I'M DYING LMAOOOOOOOOOOOO
We Need a Video of Sanctum Sanctorum and Daily Bugle next to each other and in both combinations 😀
08:05 "I swear I left him right here"
The snow picture I thank is a reference to nwh and that’s how the snow got in
I think the sidewalk is cracked and old because it’s a major city. New York has a ton of like bad sidewalks and most huge cities do. Even Toronto in Canada has a bunch and Vancouver too. Major metropolitan areas are just subject to urban decay.
With the extra time stones in the garbage bin, it could reference when iron man says can we stick this one down the trash.
Yay been waiting for this vid
The time stones in the trash is a reference to infinity war when tony questions about throwing the time stone down the garbage shoot
*Garbage disposal. It's what's in your sink
12:06
Is that when they accidentally opened a portal into a snowy area into the sanctorium, which then made it icey?
Definitely I will pick this set for my birthday (09/09), it would be the gem of the crown of my foreign collection.
