Mama Mia! Thank you!
... here we go again, my my
Colfenor: "Great Auroroa? This time of year? At this time of day? In this part of the Lorwyn? Localized entirely within this boggart kitchen?"
I've heard a similar reference, in a warhammer 40 k video of all things, where is it from?
@@roguepsykerhaaker4813it’s from the Steamed hams bit from that one episode of the simpsons, which sort of became a meme.
HA I'm here! Sending this to my nan now
I could listen to you talk about Magic lore forever. Please keep releasing these flavour filled videos.
20:55 "Sorin, being a weeb planeswalker" XD I nearly spat out my drink when you said that!
I never understood that joke, would you be so kind as to explain it to me?
Every single video you put out is so good. You have such a wonderful way of speaking and getting jokes across while still being incredibly entertaining. Eagerly waiting for the next vid
We need a lore breakdown of everything Urza did wrong
Im so happy i found this video. Im an old school lore buff and this is what i needed.
Avacyn killed liesa and all her angels not because liesa was just working with demons, which she was sort of okay with, but because liesa made an outright pact with a demon, meaning that she was now under the demons control. So killing Liesa in this instance was perfectly justified because pacts with demons never work out well for anyone but the demon.
Your enthusiasm for Lorwyn is by far your most endearing quality and possibly your objectively best quality as a human being, deeply overshadowing your every other possible positive quality. Lorwyn is fucking *amazing.*
54:57 oooooh that one bit got me good
"This is just Seeth the Scaleless with the numbers filed off"
One hell of a file given how tough those crystals are.
1:26:19 Congratulations, you just invented King from one punch man.
I love love love goblins, and this video is just a delight to watch. Thank you so much! Oh and your nails are the cherry on top of the explosives-filled goblin cake.
Did any of the new characters make it to the top ten of your Friendability rank?
Toggo. Breeches. Krark.
Another fantastic video as always! thank you for all your amazing work once again Spice!
honestly I would love if you just did a full story runthrough of either Lorwyn or Kamigawa or both someday
Ah hell yeah, I love those bricky videos. I appreciate that other creators can inspire each other like this. Keep up the great work :)
I really hope the pun was intended in the line "Hans has been a running gag" but I am also very not sure if it was
Another amazing video! Keep up the good work!
Any time anyone asks who urza is, I'm just gonna go with "he's MCU Tony Stark but with a brother"
Except calling him MCU Tony Stark implies he had some sort of redemption or character growth where he learns to be a better person…
@@supreme_king_obama1158in fairness, he does technically have a redemption arc. It’s less than a chapter long, involves Urza getting decapitated, and Urza proceeds to redeem himself in the end, by dint of sacrificing himself along with Gerrard. It’s not a *successful* redemption arc, however, because dying isn’t enough to redeem someone like Urza.
53:30 There's something kinda similar in HP Lovecraft's The Case of Charles Dexter Ward, with necromantic pen palls. I think it's one of the reasons I like it so much.
On ludevig and Geralf, I think they're the perfect representation of Chaotic evil in magic; They lack any sort of morals, they create horrid abominations, and they just do whatever they want. Why would they be anything but friends?
Way to many "chaotic evil" characters are ether just Chaotic stupid (The guys who kill their own minions), actually lawful evil (Ob and Bolas come to mind) or are actually Chaotic neutral or Good (Like Oko and Lord Rakdos respectively), but these two are what chaotic evil really is embodied.
could you explain how Rakdos is actually morally good?
I've rewatched the Kydele bit like 15 times now, it cracks me up every time.
There is actually one thing else to know about Tromokratis: Its name is literally just the Greek word for "Terrorist". The more you know
I don't even play MTG but this was emphatically the most entertaining lore explanation video ever. You are so delightful, Spice, please never stop making content.
This is entirely unrelated to mtg I just wanted to say that I caused an anarchist uprising in the goblin underlings of a tyrant as a goblin bard in a dnd game i'm in and I figured you might enjoy knowing that.
There are no words in any historical lexicon to describe how much I love you and your writing
