They need to make these 4 link from the factory instead of the front Y link. I do like the new tires and shocks. I do agree with the electronics being a downgrade. Great informative content, thank you!
Honestly, the tiny 030 motor is the problem more so than the electronics I’ve discovered. As soon as I put a 050 motor in mine that slow speed control wasn’t as big of an issue
I can imagine a bigger motor would definitely help, I think the esc etc still isn't great though. The old scx24 was better and that had a 030 motor too. 👍 Still an awesome looking rig though. 👍
At least we know it's the electronics.. my ax24 4ws has the exact same spektrum rx/esc. The only upside on them is that they have a channel 2 🙌 I just plugged in the tiny lizard pro in there and it drove way better--tons of more slower movement control on rocks and inclines.
I decided to not put the accessory rack on the back. What I did instead was I utilized part of the rack and installed it on the flat area of the pickup bed that is closest to the cab. Where the accessories are low down I did not use the the luggage carrier either too much weight over the rear. I had mine out on the Rocks all this morning and it performed very well for a Overland Trail type truck. The tires don't seem to give me any grief considering that it's not an out and out serious rock crawling machine. The electronics are sluggish at the startup and take a lot of practice without having to Goose it all the time. I don't want to have to get a expensive ESC
Sounds cool. I really love the look and love an overland rig. I just found it a bit disappointing tbh. It could have been so much better. With some upgrades it could be really good. 👍
I replaced my green power wagon with a trx4m, I honestly was underwhelmed with the lack of performance for the terrain around me! I wish they had done better electronics and tires! My shocks also blew out with some simple gravel driving the same day I brought it home, so I was not impressed with the quality of those either!
@evanjordan7734 It's a real shame isn't it, you'd think each new version would be better, but seems a few manufacturers are going backwards not forwards atm. The TRX4M is definitely better, but imo there's better out there too. 👍
Thanks very much 👍 Yeah I think I'll try the old electronics in this and see how much better it is. I think it's got potential, but as an rtr it's pretty useless tbh! 🤣🤦
I blame the proline wheels. They need two more bigger vent holes and a new beadlocks. Then they do pretty darn good. I took them off the power wagon and put the, on a more deserving rig.
@JUSTHAVEFUNRC Ah ok, good to know they can work. Just a shame Axial didn't do them right. Kinda funny them being like check out these awesome tyres that we've made not work! 🤣🤦
@@DoURC No unfortunately. My electric bike won't quite get me there and home.. it's only like 40mins away from me aswell but I don't no anyone else who can take me..shame
Hey I’m getting into RC Land Rover is there a good 110 with Difs idc which wheels but any recommendations for under 200$? And how could I water proof it?
What scale you looking for, as that's going to be one of the main drivers for price. You could get a 1/18 TRX4M Defender for $150, but imo there's much better mini's for the money. If you're looking at tenth scale, you'll struggle to get a decent rig, especially with a Defender body for $200. Other option is buy a decent chassis and put something like the Killerbody D90 hardbody on it. 👍
Gotta love a good power wagon body. Great content mate.. Are you going to sst on Sunday? Plus can you pay entry on arrival? I won't really no how many tickets I will need until sat eve
The slow crawl was hurting my senses. lol. Even if it was struggling to get over the obstacles, it would have been nicer. Plus out of habit, I think everyone will try slow crawl then that pulse width or hum will drive… me crazy definitely
you wasnt joking with just how bad thoose electronics was may aswell be a switch either on or off i just also dont understand thoose using thoose tiny 030 motors aswell always found them useless aswell
Yeah they were rubbish, baffles me how they thought, yeah this is better! 🤣🤦 Yeah it's one tiny motor. Tbf it wasn't toooo bad in my old Bronco, but be sooo much better with a 130 or something in there. 👍
Tbh I think the SCX24 electronics are still better, they're waterproof at least. But for the price difference, it's a bit of a joke! I don't know why they changed them, old electronics were better imo. 👍
It does seem crazy doesn't it. What baffles me is how companies can go backwards. They're like, oh, this is worse than the last one....ah just ship it! I do love the look on this rig though, it's right up my street, just a shame it doesn't perform!
I wouldn't call the TRX4M far better, but better yes. Spend the same money and get a Hobbyplus or FMS rig and they're even better than both. 👍 Or the Redcat Ascent 👍
It makes no sense to put such bad electronics in a decent looking rig seriously why not just sell it as a roller if your gunna use terrible electronics.
@@DoURC it seems like they rushed it but as far as crawling is concerned Spectrum doesn’t have any really good systems they seem to be pretty good at making electronics for fast RC’s but you don’t hear anyone saying they have any good Crawling electronics & Hobbywing just blows them away.
I wish I didn’t buy this and saved for 1/10 Living in India we don’t get anything and I had a friend fly it with him from Singapore not worth the effort :( This version is absolute garbage from an American brand to dish out poor electronics and much more. My first and perhaps last axial. The Chinese r killing it in mini crawlers
That's a real shame, especially if it went so far globally to get to you. Its really not good is it. I think with a better ESC it would be much better. You could see if you could pick up a different ESC maybe from the previous SCX24 version, or even from a different model. In my opinion FMS are dominating the mini market at the moment. I really like my brushless Hobbyplus CR18P Evo Pro too. 👍

Just adding the injora brushed esc was an amazing upgrade to my power wagon.
Excellent to here. The Spectrum electronics do seem to be the main problem tbh. 👍

Great vid the electrics are not good I agree the previous version is better, I swapped out to a 50t motor improved the drivability alot
Thanks very much 👍

I’d be curious to see the same tires on those obstacles but without any foam inserts.
Yeah they did seem a little stiff, so may be better with no foams or softer foams. Just a bit disappointing they didn't perform out the box. 👍

I want one to build. :) I like that body style

Rubbish wasn't it. Was like I was testing a $50 RC not a $150! Do like the body though! 🤣👍😁
You say the original scx24 but the bronco is a V2 the deadbolt and c10 are V1 and the esc isn’t great
OK sorry, previous model. 👍

Crazy that with how much this costs you'd get better electronics in an rtr wpl c24 than this. Shame on axial for releasing this crap.

Comparing to sth. like the Evo Pro this should not cost more than 50 bucks. Cant believe that Axial does not make any progress. Who buys those ?

is the electronics that the deadbolt have are better?
@@idan678 yeah I got the deadbolt and the v2 great little crawlers with few added bits
@James-bristol Yeah I really like my old Bronco, apart from the shocks, it performed much better than the newer version. 👍
Wow does that thing make some horrible noises .
