- Back out on the road. Today im heading to a mark Two miles North of Lowestoft in Corton, called "Tramps Alley"
A fairly easy access beach with just a short slope from the road to the sand.
Can be quite "Snaggy" directly in front of the steps as you enter, but 100yds right or left and you should be ok.
Supposedly haunted at night but that goes for most places ;-)

Appreciate your time and efforts along the Hopton, Corton beaches.....helps for when i visit on hols!
Fantastic... That was the whole idea of starting these 'guides' not only for locals but visiting anglers as well. I have struggled in the past getting this sort of information when I go on holiday 👍
I watch tons of videos on UA-cam and yours are the most informative and interesting videos out there. Cracking 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you Dave for bringing us another quality video love watching buddy well done on the fish tight lines 👍 🎣
Thanks John. A few more fish starting to show now ,all be it Dogfish. I'm actually enjoying re visiting old marks I've not fished for years 👍
@@david892006 I've not been out fishing Dave the Holderness Coast is absolutely rubbish hardly anything odd Bass and Rockling so I not going to bother until the summer species arrive its nice to see some fish showing up on your coastline buddy looking forward to watching more videos from you Dave cheers buddy and tight lines 🎣 👍
@LevosAnglingAdventures yes I've been looking at the reports myself. Won't be long before the hounds turn up tho 👍
Hi dave you ok pal, nice one for another vid to watch. Love the show, All the best from G.Y
Many thanks for your kind comment. All good here, hopefully I'll be getting out every week as the weather and fishing improves 👍
@@david892006 I'm bk out very early in the morning for a high tide at 5.59 a.m . Up at 1 n leave at 2 . On the humber near cleethorpes trying to stop 3 blanks on the spin dave. We've lost the haddocks, whiting n codling now till October again ,so it abit scratchy at the min . Baas are showing now so fingers crossed.
@carldawson832 yes Carl. I'm in regular contact with John Levo and he said it's fishing very patchy now. Soon be time for the hounds tho 👍
I fished Tramps Alley for the first time last night. I headed to the layby further up from the car park. I’m not sure if it was the one you said you park at if doing a night session but it was by some trees and then steep dodgy wooden steps all the way to the beach. I had 4 dogfish & 4 whiting and all were big and chunky. Good to try a new venue so thanks for the video.
Brilliant. Yes that's the layby and steps I have used. Always looks a bit sketchy if you're on your own but I've never had any problems there. Glad you found the information helpful 👍
At least I was in the right place. I wasn’t on my own, my girlfriend fishes as well so there were 2 of us. We fished to the right slightly from the bottom of the steps but next time I’d head further left or right as I got snagged several times and lost 3 sets of gear. I think I was casting past the snags and getting snagged when reeling back in. We fished from low right up to high and It was less snaggy towards high water though which was good.
@rubythescooby4002 Yes both there and the Tramps Alley are snaggy directly in front of the access. I go right 200 MTs from those steps or left 200mts at Tramps Alley. Those snags do come and go though 👍
Perhaps one from Caister...don't think i've ever had a bite there lol
Hello Keith. I did cover one of the marks at Caister but, it was late August and the beaches were still quite busy. I too couldn't buy a bite but I know it can produce. I may re visit one of the other spots a re do Caister at some point 👍
Lucky man, kind regards Mike. Norfolk
A welcome addition to the ‘catalogue’ Dave, thanks for sharing - never strayed down that way, but likely to give it a go now.
Thanks Chris. Hope you are keeping well 👍
Nice video 🎣🐟👍
Guess you must have tried braid straight through without a leader and weed catching knot?
Nice session and fish caught, that squid was the first I've ever heard of, not that I'm very actively fishing.these days.
Hello Graham. Yes I have experimented using braid straight through. 75lb or .38 thickness.. works very well with the weed and bite detection is superb. The only issue I had was, fish coming off due to zero stretch. Also if the braid came into contact with anything rough or sharp, I got cut off. As for the squid, I've seen them caught on Cromer pier using luminous jigs but never off a sandy beach 👍
Another great video I fish there a lot I love it there but it’s a bugger walking back up the alley
Lucky it's not too far 👍
Great video as always David, weed was annoying but wasn't too bad of a session really, better than blanking,
What was the skipper of the yellow boat playing at though.
Apparently it's a marine engine test boat which has to put a certain number of running hours on various engine's. Just can't see why they have to do so close in when there is plenty more room offshore 🤔
Nice video but quite frustrating to watch at times as rod tips very rarely visible in shot . Just me 😂
Yes I had to improvise as my camera mount broke. If you look through the other vids you can see I normally get everything in... But I know what you mean. Thanks for the feedback...👍
Good Video Dave as always, another month and we can get out Hound Hunting again.
Definitely mate .. hopefully a good run of hounds this year
