To avoid misunderstandings, when I say syringe a bird that is no needle, through the mouth into the crop will a syringe, infant bulb syringe. Does someone have a video of this? I will link it in the description.

2 years ago I purchased a bird from Wisconsin and it took 12 days to get to Pennsylvania. The bird looked and felt like it was put into the shipping box that morning. I call him survivor man. Most pigeons are resilient and bounce back quickly

Wow! That's crazy.. 4 days in the box. Glad it all turned out well.. There's a Newcastle, Utah in the SW corner of the state, so I think somebody read the shipping label wrong. Youngsters look like they're doing well on the trapping..

So neat to see Racing birds still going. My Dad and I raised and raced birds back in the 70's in Staten Island,NY Back then we had 3 Acres to keep Old birds, Breeders, and the Young Racers. Great times! I still have a Bomens Survey ( don't remember exact name) for our Loft " Skyloft" lol even have a few trophies from some 250 and 500mile races! Nice to see you all on here. Alex from NJ

Last year I had a bird not leave the truck on the liberation for a YB race.
I thought I lost that bird. The following Friday night when we began to basket for the next race this bird was found on the truck and in good shape.

Some areas seem to be problematic for shipping. I had some North Caucasian Tumblers shipped in from Pennsylvania this week. They left Tuesday and didn't arrive until Saturday morning. They were fine. The longest I've ever had some stuck enroute was 13 days from Kansas. They survived shipping, but faded away over the next two days. Had some other almost equally bad experiences from Kansas. Had one shipment go 8 days from there and when they handed me the box, you could literally smell them. Both birds had been dead at least 24 hours because the decomposition had already started setting in. Ugly stuff. Had a Black Widow cock shipped in from NY this year that was 6 days in the box and came through perfect. Generally, USPS do a good job, but when they screw up, they really screw up good. One observation I do have is that Racing Homers survive bad shipping more than other breeds do, especially if they are deep keeled.

I'm glad Larry liked the Black. In an earlier video he mentioned he had a soft spot for them, so I made sure he got at least one. The clutch mate will be on my young bird team.

Thanks Thomas for getting my birds back in shape after the post office debacle. PS got all my money back with apologies. So glad the birds survived. Next time get Sterchi to do a Cameo. Lol

Same here, I bought 3 6 bird kits one year. All blacks, the only ones around after a year were from CBS, I think he called them black diamonds.
