- Not long to go until the brand new series of quite possibly the greatest motoring show ever to be broadcast on the BBC. And what better way to find out what’s coming up than in the very presence of Messrs Clarkson, Hammond and May?
Yes, for the first time ever, on Sunday 18 January the three presenters will be appearing in front of a small live audience in London, dispensing wisdom and previewing what we've been up to since you last saw us. Best of all, the entire event will be broadcast globally right here on the Top Gear UA-cam channel at 21:00 GMT on Sunday 18 January.
In the meantime we'd like you, fans of Top Gear across the world, to send in questions for Jeremy, Richard and James. If you could ask them absolutely anything, what would it be? Pop your best efforts in the comments below and we'll keep our eyes peeled for our favourite submissions. You never know, we could end up using your question on the evening itself.
Alternatively, you can send in your questions via VIDEO to inbox@topgear.com. Be creative, tell us (or show us) where in the world you are. And trendy social media types - use the hashtag #EveningWithTG to send in your questions*
*By submitting questions, you give the BBC the right to use the whole or part of your contributions in all media and markets throughout the world

"Can you imagine travelling the world with these two" that's exactly what the grand tour is 😂😂
do you know when the first episode is?
Some time in autumn. A long wait :(
they've just announced the first episode is November 18th
Youri van der Veer I fell asleep on my phone a few days ago and my shoulder did that lmao.
I see Hammond is still deciding to be 38.
Chuck Finley You must be new to Top Gear...
haha i don't know what james was thinking with those sneakers. but i don't think hammond will ever stop trying to be 38.
theres no taco bell here in where i live so :/
Chuck Finley i did think it looked a bit weird with James wearing some nice nikes
And Jeromy is still deciding to be 122... ;)
James May is legendary.
UltimateXtreme
They all are
Captain Sloooooooooooowwwwww!
Clarkson is best
James' sacking from Autocar alone made him legendary.
Must admit I'm a bit OCD like James May. Fantastic Show, watching reruns five years after this was recorded.
God I miss them. The BBC knows that it has made a terrible mistake by sacking Clarkson and losing all three presenters as a result. Can't wait for their new show The Grand Tour later this year.
The Aussie Top Gear finally got three presenters with chemistry but after I think it was 3 seasons of horrible presenters no one was watching
Canadian lady here. Without Clarkson et al., it's just Crap Gear! I love Jeremy Clarkson.
Clarkson just isn't funny any more. The Grand Tour? More like the Grand Bore.
well, after whatever happened happened, the bloke had also bean doing the show, in some fashion, since 1990...?
My God, will you people ever stop crying, lol
It's the new viral OCD of GBH apologists
Not scripted and they are still funnier than the new show.
Easily.
Yep!
GloomGaiGar the grand tour or new top gear?
well their show is scripted, but the script is written by themselves ... so it is their real humor ;)
GloomGaiGar I think the old season of top gear and the grand tour are both funnt
This was so awesome! I think it's sea to say no matter how many seasons they have done and will do, it will never get old.
ThatDudeinBlue I subscribed to u!
I agree
I miss that show
ThatDudeinBlue You jinxed it dude!
ThatDudeinBlue.. Cool to find one of your old comments... Grand Tour is the shit to watch now. Lol
JM: Jeremy
JC:: What?
JM: I'm very unhappy..
I have mixed feelings about Jeremy Clarkson's recent termination, and am still rather upset about it. Although he put this situation on himself, as James May recently stated to the press, it could've been handled differently. Because of BBC's recent decision, however, I believe that they have effectively killed Top Gear U.K. Hammond and May's contracts also expire this month of March as well. Out of protest, they should refuse to renew them and go elsewhere. Thanks a lot, BBC, for ruining what was a great show. No matter how controversial they were, Clarkson, Hammond, and May were an irreplaceable group. #RIPTopGearUK
The Three Stooges got too full of themselves, particularly Clarkson, and this is the end result.
bmw racer Well, I take it you weren't a fan of this show then. As opinionated as they could be, not to mention controversial, these guys were absolute legends in their own way. If BBC knows what's good for them, they'll leave Top Gear alone. At this point, all I have to say is that they better not attempt to "borrow" any of their hosts from the new Top Gear knock-off show "Blood Sweat and Gears" to make a Season 23! Otherwise, I feel a boycott coming on.
Josh McDonald Initially I was fan of the show, but they spent way too much time on stunts rather than talking about cars and reviewing them... I just got tired of it all. I've moved on to "Wheeler Dealers." :)
bmw racer
Okay, I can see your point there.
bmw racer Haha, you think Top Gear was a car show! Too funny mate!

they should do this every time a new series comes up!!!
like if u think so too ;)
For every new season is WAAAAAAY TOO RARE.They should do this every week, after an episode, talking about it :D but not only :P I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT :D
I CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF THIS GUYS ...
No they shouldn't, this is the main reason i hate top gear USA, there is no thrill now, like what will happen, who will drive which car, where they go....
Espetxean I said "after every episode, talking about IT",the repective episode, not the entire series. The unfilmed or left out videos, the talk about them and the moments surrounding them, combined with their humor, makes for another EXTREMELY NICE program to watch.
motanelustelistu that's way to often than it will get boring because you know whats going to happen so its like ahhh I know whats going to happen
Leopard Gaming You can't read, can you ? I said to meet AFTER the episode,to discuss the things happening when they filmed it and other funny or interesting stuff like the train horn thing at 27:56
I love how they are on stage together. They all seem to know the other's personality so there's little to no awkward clashes or interruptions or the like.
Miss last night's EveningWithTG? Watch it in full below then tell us what you're most excited about in Series 22
+Top Gear LLLLLOOOOOOLLLLLL
jdjddiididiffifuffufuuffufufufuuffu polo gkrffjfjfjfjfiififfif8ioftffj
+Top Gear most excited for it to come on....... oh wait
the series will never be the same again
The new guys can drive
i wish i see stig's face
I live only 200km from where Richard Hammond was dropped in Canada and i watched Jeremy and James drive the trucks.
That was on the snowy mountain
@@amirulashraf3840 almost like you could travel to the location
#bringbackclarkson
BBC=bring back clarkson
Jack Dodds Quackson is a criminal, the BBC will not stand for this kind of behavior, not now, not ever. I hear the BBC is looking at Benny Hill's corpse to replace quackson. I think it will do just grand. This time the show has a chance at getting the humor correct.
@@Umadeabadmistake so, how's the divorce going?
"Someone's getting fired!" LOL
The 3 most entertaining people in the entire world right there. I absolutely cannot wait for season 22 to air! I legitimately fear the day that top gear ends/will end. I can only hope you three continue with many more shows for us to live vicariously through you!
Possibly now since Jezza's fired.
Haha so funny too see it, all the hopes and then Jessica is fired XD
Matthew Bradshaw ^^^ you jinxed it.
That didn't age well. Sadly.
The only thing I can ask from BBC and Jeremy, Richard and May is to keep making new seasons, honestly, I for one can't imagine the world without Top Gear, and I think I speak for a lot of Top Gear fans when I say this. May you all always be in perfect health.
I agree with you, but I heard that season 22 wasn't a sure thing, hope they never stop it, PLEASE PLEASE don't stop, a lot of people are depending on Top Gear for good consumer advice.
Well you jinxed that didn't you.
RaledoTom ROFL
Shehab .Khaled GOOD JOB
Shehab .Khaled That is what i want to say.
I'm waiting for the North Korea Special.
Soon.
the bbc made a very bad business decision by getting rid of clarkson and therefore the other two. they killed the greatest show in history and will go down in history as one of the worst moves ever made by a network
Grand tour>top gear. Fight me
At least it brought the Grand Tour which is better
Iam from South Africa 🇿🇦 and I really enjoy watching this car show. At the moment we are watching re runs of the show. These guys have a chemistry and its bloody awesome and I love how Jeremy laughs . Nobody can take their place!!
Miss these guys.

Really, really unexpected. Made me pause my gaming session to see what the question is wkwk
@@skeletonwguitar4383 vand vvvtvv
Wah gila sih, Sayangnya Top Gear kagak pernah ke Indonesia hehe.
You know, the only reason I watch top Gear is because of the hosts. IT isn't too much different than any other car show, but the funny things they do and the personalities behind the show are all far superior to any other car show.
You don't even have to like cars much to like Top Gear.
exactly! I'm not a big car nut(funny side-note I went to trade-school with the host of "Car Nuts") but I love everything Top Gear esp these guys
Exactly
This is 100% true, apart from transportation from time to time I couldn't care less about cars but I love top gear, sadly this just isn't top gear and UA-cam doesn't seem to know the difference
The only reason I even slightly like cars now is because of these 3, and I'm still watching them now and laughing. They were Top Gear, replacing them was a task too far for the BBC
38:28 Jeremy - "This is the first Job [James] hasn't been sacked from... Yet"
Epic foreshadowing...
+Xaiano He wasn't sacked though. Jeremy was, Rich and James resigned.
YazeedSaber
That's what i was referring to, there Jeremy is joking about james being fired right before he is.
+Xaiano resigning isn't being fired. He left out of own free will because he didn't want to continue without his friend. Firing is forcibly making someone jobless
Barts Tadpole
You could have read the comment above yours - it explains that I was talking about Jeremy being fired...
Readers want you to know: Jeremy wasn't fired or sacked, his soon-to-expire contract was not going to be renewed. May and Hammonds' contracts were expiring and they chose not to renew it.
The host has the longest face I've ever seen.
He has genes from a horse
it's like he walked into a hall of funny mirrors, and one of the reflections walked out

Sooooo, it turns out all to be the Daily Mail's fault and nothing at all to do with the BBC.
Let me guess, you work for the BBC complaints department? They are past masters at denial, projection and blame shifting.
InTheNameOfJustice The "fault" seems to be that you subjectively take exception to the character of the interviewer, so unless you can show that you speak for every licence payer rather than merely expressing your own opinion and piss poor attempt at satire it's safe to say they are hardly obliged to choose an interviewer that you personally approve of, you arrogant little man.
em diar
You mean, I have to add a rider that says, 'This is my own personal opinion and does not reflect the opinions of everyone else on You Tube or any other licence fee payers' in order to comply with your arrogant, prescriptive and totalitarian wishes?
I tell you what, I will do that on every post when you promise not to speak for every news paper reader out there concerning the content of the Daily Mail.
Deal?
No. I thought not. You stupid, lazy minded, brainwashed, sad little lefty.
InTheNameOfJustice Poor losers are always fun. Go and have a cry about how every one who thinks differently to you is "brainwashed" and a "lefty", and while you're about it, learn the difference between a "rider" and a disclaimer.
As I suspect you're not British and have never paid the licence fee in your life, how about minding your own business too, or is it your God given right to tell foreigners what to do? If it wasn't for the BBC you'd have no Top Gear in the first place, so if you can just bring yourself to tolerate one slightly dull moderator without flying into a tirade about how it's one more example of how those commies at the Beeb are part of a conspiracy to punish us with less than dynamic presenters, you might enjoy life more. Not everything is about you, you know? .
2021 and they're still hilarious.
Legends
7:40 "someone's getting fired". I wonder who...
Oh snap
Homer Simpson aaaand that was the biggest mistake the BBC made
7:39*
These three guys are the BEST!
That awkward moment when a preview from old top gear has more views than the last new top gear show!
Hahahaha
When Hammond talks about Oliver he’s so cute 🥰.
Has this interviewer ever watched an episode of top gear? Because he clearly is not a car enthusiast.
Well top gear isn't about cars really, is it?
@pete smyth With a hammer, and this one was the only survivor because he didn't make the job interview. True story!
Utterly useless.
Think of a better reason to hate on the interviewer. You have said nothing good enough and no one here has.
Is anyone who used to watch top gear was really that much of a car enthusiast?
James May should release an autobiography called:
The Man, The Myth, The Legend...
A Symphony in Brown
I can never have enough of them. I literally laughed till i cried. How can some people be that funny?
Only ever watched for clarkson, may and hammond, will not be watching the new series
+john doe Of course you will! Let's give it a go
+TopShotta i could give it a go....but i'd still be thinking of clarkson, may and hammond ! lol
kanyedian bet you don’t watch it now
Just has no chemistry don't watch it 😉
@7:38 Well this is awkward...
As a topgear fan and being from Botswana, it's an icing on a cake to know Botswana was their favorite!!
These presenters are simply the best. The show will remain long into the future. Love it!
This really didnt age well
@@robhannam7294 Now we watch Drive tribe with Hammond. Whatever- all TV sucks except our Grenade Motorsports channel LOL :)
Wait so is Top Gear USA going to an episode with the real Top Gear?! That will be hilarious just because they'll be making fun of the U.S. version like crazy.
I think he said tanner behind him. Plus us top gear ain't that bad tanner is a beast with the racing.
Mike Dinunzio Tanner is the best presenter on the US version of Top Gear. I don't really like the other two.
I don't like to be the pessimist here but it's not confirmed. My bet would be that the team are doing something rally-cross-based and Tanner was involved in the race. Without Rutledge and Adam this would just make him a guest star. It'll still be cool to see Tanner on the show but I really doubt it's a TG USA UK showdown like the Germany v UK and Australia v UK episodes :(
I am American I will admit that the us top gear is a terrible show
Mike West
Top Gear USA is a steaming pile of Poo! Im a American as well and I cant watch it.
THEY SHOULD DO THIS EVERY WEEK :D
3 million acre ? Why on earth don't they use ares or hectares, like normal poeple ?
1 acre = 0.4 ha
"Normal" people? To me a "normal" person would uses square metres and kilometres. The metric system makes for more logical sense than does the imperial system, after all.
motanelustelistu, yeah, I mixed acres with ares. wups.
3.2million acre property = ~1.295million hectares (or 12,950km²). Considering the area of Australia, and this farmland is only 0.0016 of its size and just under 1% of the area of NT, it gives you an idea of how vast the great southern land really is. It's a sizeable chunk of farmland no matter which measurement you use.
We use hectares, b, ut top gear presenters being almost elderly use the imperial system, i guess it also sounds a lot bigger and grandiose saying 3.2million acres rather than 130,000 hectares
KrishKrusher Don't bet on it. Seriously, most of Australia is literally uninhabitable. 99% of us are squeezed into a few pockets. There's only around 24 million living down here and we are already squeezed for habitable land without reducing our already marginal arable farming land out.
I hope amazon pulls it all off
me too
i think andy wilman is still producing
coco mgee yes he is. As is most of the old team
Well this aged well.
I’m watching this again and again, by the end of it I’m going to know all this off by heart. Why am I like this? 🤣🤣
the question remains still unanswered: WILL THERE BE A JENNIFER IN TOP GEAR?
Ahhh all those memories of old top gear episodes.... makes me so nostalgic
Their favourite moment was in the Makgadikgadi in Botswana and here I am watching from Botswana, my home country😂
This was awesome. I wish it was two hours longer. Super excited for the new season!
james May looks so fast with his new shoes
Let James speak! Stop talking over him!
Agree, i was really ticked off when he got interrupted constantly
I'm not surprised James gave the presenter odd looks. He was interviewed on his radio show and was extremely rude to James.
Yeah. But he normally doesn't talk as much as Jeremy or Richard
Rovenzoo Because when he does talk he gets interrupted!
Bob Shaw Not all the time though. The others also get interrupted.
Who is watching this in 2019!!!!🎗♥️
How great would it be, if Jeremy, James and Richard would buy cars for each other and do a Top Gear special?! :D
It’s 7 years on but honestly that still sounds like a great idea, could make for a great grand tour special.
the video starts at 6:20
Thanks a million mate
MVP
you da real MVP
Omg thank u dude!
I know right
i've recently started watching this show. I have learned SO much more about cars. Thanks for educating me about my favorite thing in the world
I think it's just awesome that three guys who do a show reviewing cars has turned into this comedy/adventure/travel show. I love it! I love them so much!
I'm going to miss this guys on top gear there is no replacement for them
"possibly the greatest motoring show ever to be broadcast on the BBC"
This is secret code for "One of the greatest shows ever broadcast anywhere, in the history of the world". Only people wearing our Top Gear dressing gowns together would recognise it.
52:31 "The food's rubbish" - Jeremy Clarkson. We now know how rubbish that food is!
Little did he know
"There's a snake in here!"
"Where?"
"There!"
"THERE IS!"
That looks like it'll be my favorite bit.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEAAASSSE let that be a TG UK vs US episode. They are two of my favourite shows ever. A cross-over would be so insanely awesome. I might die if it's true.
If you think tg is is good..... You NEED serious help
3:37 - Jeremy mentions episode 8 here, in fact episode 8 was the filming of the material which would lead to the punch Jeremy threw and got him sacked from the show.
This series does look very good, although feels extremely scripted.
so what if it's scripted ? all tv show's and movies are scripted !
Almost everything was scripted in the last top gear's
I dont care, i enjoy top gear if it is scripted or not
It's always been scripted lol
your life is scripted aswell
It makes me happy to know that there will be a new show and that they are pretty much best friends off camera
i miss the old top gear and those 3, thankfully they came together again to make the grand tour
2021 anyone because it feels like a life tims
6 years ago it is now, as of July 2021, and it feels like 60 years has gone past
Yo from 2024.
love or hate him...without Jeremy this show does'nt work
it doesn't* whatsoever.
you can never get bored with these guys... TOP GEAR forever!
This was dam good .. for a sneak preview. They should always do this before start of series. Just sit and talk about it for hour long. Cant get enough of their funny chemistry
Oh wow. That was amazing. If you get a chance you should definitely watch it! Thank you for an amazing show top gear!
I agree. Great preview.
BBC should be ashamed of what they have done to our beloved top gear.
Please take into account they are not car experts. In fact there almost ignorant. They are entertainers. Clarkson is HORRID as an expert on car. His so called " facts " are questionable editorials at best. Some are flat out lies. He is a much better historian.
Most people watch it for them but enjoy the car back drop.... most don't care about real car advice most want them doing 210 MPH in a Veyron, or 110 MPH in a E-Type Jaguar while entertaining. That is why the grand tour will be another success and Top gear will never be good again.
If you ever even considered top gear being an actual car show, you were never watching the correct program anyway.
ehh I dunno man if they didn't get fired from Top Gear they never would've made Grand Tour
yes they do regret it greatly. But they couldnt overlook Clarkson clocking one of the execs in the face. Should have fired the guy that got punched in hindsight.....
Very very very very very very excited to see the new episodes! WIll be counting down days!!!
Oh god this is bring back memories of when they were on and I miss them so much on Top Gear. I really would love to see them one day to say that they are amazing and everything. If I was there I wished I had said that they changed my life and they are amazing. Also saying thank you too
Oh man, I do hope they come to Norway and drive on the atlantic road, I live about 20 minutes from there with some creative driving...
The part about Alfa Romeo is so true. I love mine too ´and like Jeremy said, it is like a girlfriend to me. Yes, it has some problems but like in every relationship, you have to solve these problems together and if you do, the connection will get stronger.
Thank you for uploading this video TOP GEAR, i couldn't watch it on tv, and i'm excited to see all three guys back together on the show, i have a blast watching them, and i can't wait to see the review of the BMW i8 cheers!!
I swear this was about a month before Clarkson got sacked 🤣🤣
They were filming in Saint Petersburg, and I missed it?! Blast me!
DID THEY SAY THEY WERE DOING TOP GEAR US VS UK
I SHIT MY PANTS
Edit: now that I've calmed down I realized James was racing Rallycross and so it's more than likely there was not a US/UK showdown but that Tanner Faust was entered in that particular race.
Bit of a coincidence? It'll be UK vs US TG like the other vs eps.. US TG is the only one I watch and enjoy apart from the original.. :)
It's possible that it is a TG UK USA showdown simply because it was only James and Tanner out on the circuit and Jeremy and Hammond were both at the sideline without race suits and helmets. Obviously Hammond and Jezza aren't racing and they wouldn't turn up to watch May race by himself if it wasn't for the TG USA UK showdown. Then again, they could just not be changed yet. Also, the TG USA team hasn't really filmed a whole lot this year (they've only done one series while normally they do two) so they'd have plenty of time to make a showdown feature. The only thing that makes me wonder if it isn't the showdown is that there are other professional rally-cross drivers in that scene too. I'd say it's more than likely to be a normal film with Tanner as a guest star, sadly. Hopefully I'm wrong.
IF they actually did that? I predict they would have many American Revolutionary war references?
Well that was just brilliant, I look forward to seeing the new series now
Thoroughly enjoyed this, thanks guys
Fun fact: Christian now hosts a radio show in Australia, where nobody has heard of him before.
Just like when he worked in England
@@BiggerOnTheInsidePodhe was on XFM and Absolute Radio in the morning. People definitely know who he is

6:24 3 boys down under in Australia.. Sounds kinkier than it was
And yet, we still don't know if Jeremy is actually called Jeniffer now.
Thank you, thank you for making this available on youtube. Cheers!!!
39:07 To me that one car that 'felt human' (Clarkson) was the Renault Espace 2.0dCi 175. Yes ok it's a family car but it's what we had during my childhood and teenage years before university and yes it broke down LOADS of times. BUT- IT WAS A FAMILY MEMBER after 11 years and to see it crushed at a landfill sight was like seeing a family member die in front of you (and I am not being hyperbolic- I mean it- I miss that car). It's the car that has soo many good, bad and unforgettable memories with my family and friends: from the night me and a Swiss exchange student (a girl who's now a close mate but I fell for at the time) car shared after a party to the days we spent with our Grandad in Staffs moorlands and Granny on the Hampshire's coastal beaches (unfortunately, bless them, they have both passed away). Even the memories of the one Christmas the Aussie cousins came and stayed with us- the Renault Espace had that. It was there through thick and thin, good times and the bad; it was there throughout all stages of my childhood and just like my parents it saw me grow from a little primary school kid to a soon-to-be undergraduate. I'll miss that car and hopefully one day I'll get one if I have a family of my own in the distant future. So Jeremy- I can understand you. It made faults and even at times we thought we would die. But the childhood memories of France and Provence, school, being picked up after or taken to before school trips/clubs; and most importantly family. But this time it's not Alfa... it was a Renault... a Renault sports... a Renault Espace. Merci Renault
in a hindsight providing a hot chow is cheaper than hiring a shouty man, isnt it BBC?
I love these guys so so much. It's ridiculous, seriously. I love Top Gear like most girls my age (16) like One Direction or Beyonce or whatever
It's six years later.... but I have to agree
i'm from Australia, I am watching this at eight'o'clock, the sun appears to be coming up
I wish there was an episode where they buy each other a car 🤣🤣
I hope they will go on for ever. And when they want to retire, find similar characters and continue the madness :)
I think you can tell Christian is a radio guy, the TV presentation aspect of what he's doing wasn't too great, but the interview with the guys was.
When james did that drift in the gt-r,i took the biggest deep breath since I was born
