It’s actually funny how in the first clip it’s only James who’s roasting the Beetle, while the other two are asking why, and several seasons later they all hate it.
It took a while, but they saw the light.

What's hilarious to me is that Richard and James both own and love the 911 Porsche--a car made by the same man who designed the beetle, on the same chassis.
They are Brits and the car is German, no surprise there.

Top gear was more than just a show.
It was a ritual.
Every Sunday, my Brothers and I would visit Mum, and after an afternoon watching football together, which mum loved, and eating dinner together, we would all sit down to watch top gear.
That was before the serious girlfriends became wives and we had families of our own.
When mum was our main woman in our lives, and we were carefree, young and every day was an adventure.
It's so weird watching these shows back, cos I can visualise mums front room and my Brothers all sat together, enjoying this show.
Nostalgia is a strange feeling.

Jeff great channel I have done a couple of rack conversions to early Holdens. I used shortened commodore racks.
This could be a solution if you find a rack with the desired ratio and have it shortened or widened to suit so you can keep your stock steering arms and mount the rack in the correct position.
This will save you calculating your Ackerman's angle

Love your videos Ryan, but I have to disagree with you on this one based on personal experience. If I’d worn armour in my Kevlar jeans knee pocket it would have prevented the tarmac from burning through the material and a part of my knee. It would have also saved me from 6 months in hospital fighting sepsis from the infected wound. I would never consider leaving the house without my D3O now 🤔

Several days before this show was recorded Jeremy went on the One Show, a British light entertainment program that looks at news and other stories. Basically daytime housewives tv. Anyway they were on about The Junior Doctors Strike, which was happening at the time. And all three people (Jezza and the two hosts) unanimously supported the Doctors. However Jeremy then pointed out that because the BBC is supposed to be completely impartial they need to have an opinion from the other side, and swiftly said they they should all be shot.
OFCOM, which is a body that monitors tv and broadcast media, reviewed the matter at the time this show was recorded which is why Rich and James are trying to get him to double down and make his standing clear.
Jeremy was later cleared on the basis that, essentially, it was a joke. This is why in a later episode (the one before the Rally Cross Race) where he talks about how Rich cheated in the race and wanted an independent assessment, he talks about using OFCOM.
