After i bought Craftsynth 2.0 i don't need any other monosynth. Seriously, i duno any sound that this little "toy" can't make. Connectivity is great - u can add tempo sync from DAW to modular or make a MIDI chain with it. Only downside is overall size n build... but this is what it takes for size n price. I am super happy with it as i bought it used for a half of regular price.
the answer is NO! It just stopped working after a while. Didn't use it a lot but no more guarantee. So i gave it to a very handy friend who opened it up. First of the glued the board in the case and they beside using screws also glued the case itself shut. No support at all and when i search for my problem, it seems to happen to so many people that i have to say that the craft is just not good quality materials. It sounds great but the way it was build by modal is to say the least, scandalous.
Thank you for re-assuring me ;) I bought the Craft 2 after watching 1 short video as I thought it‘s a no-brainer for my portable setup at that price. And I was right, it‘s a great versatile synth that gets exactly the sound I want.
Good stuff. I was pretty much sold after seeing the first kickstarter demo but, as a principle, I don’t go for kickstarters. Then I had the privilege of scoping it out at superbooth and I was blown away! Thanks for watching!
Great video... I bought this synth because I am jumping on a plane and its compact size works great. Also, I am a huge fan of Modal and have the Argon8 and soon to have the Cobalt8.
Thanks. Trying to find some new angles in my new space. And also trying to make my text look less like it’s 2011 👽👽👽 have you tried the craftsynth? It’s crazy powerful!
@@LateNightBeatsOfficial no not yet...I have promised myself no more synths till I have an hour set😕...but if you want to see me lol...this is me appearing on Jamies show...he makes the patches that go on moog one and peak...how I got invited I do not know😂🙌...and as for appearing..dont know how you lot do it😁 ua-cam.com/video/acj_id4EBbI/v-deo.html
Hello, thanks for the video. Hey, do you really get access to every feature in the hardware itself? or for some things you do need the app? Thanks again.
I'm just learning about synths, been playing with VSTs and I now the very basics of making the sounds I want. I am seriously thinking about this only because I love the sounds but would this be a bit heavy going for a newbie?
Depends on what you’re looking for. If analog is what you’re interested in, get a volca keys or (if you’re looking for a deeper sound) a Neutron. Those two can teach you about analog subtractive synthesis. If you’re not fixated on having an „analog” sound, you can learn the same with the Craft by sticking to the „Virtual Analog” oscillator bank plus later you’ll have the chance to explore wavetable and digital realms. Personally, I feel that the app can really help with learning thanks to its visual representation of the envelopes and the filter: a nice bridge between vst and hardware if you will.
I actually tried it out with the opz. It works really well and is a joy to sequence via usb. I have a jam that I didn’t have the time to edit with that pairing. I’ll see if I can make a video on that in the near future.
If you don't want to hear me yapping about, go to 4:01 to hear the sounds!
super helpfully thank you !!!!

Great video tutorial mine turned up today thanks.
Happy to hear! Enjoy it, it's a great little synth!
Mine is on its way and I cannot wait...
Great thanks awesome . i got one i learn a lost... One questions if i modify a preset how can i save it ?
Both my Skulpt and Craft suffer from cable noise. The USB noise is particularly bad. Any tips?
Nice review! Can you recommend CraftSynth 2 for making old school EBM like Nitzer Ebb, DAF, Front 242?

Can you make and play pads on this?
It's primarily a monophonic synth, but you can try and set the intervals to a chord, set attack real long and drown in some reverb: voila!
Can it be good partner for op-z in terms like being sequensed by op-z? What do yout think?

Oh, great, thanks..
So.. Do i need an ipad? How does it show up in my daw? Sounds Nice tho
No ipad needed. The app actually works on a mac and an iphone quite well. Haven’t tried with a PC or an Android as I don’t have those.
How the sound is continous without pressing any key help me out with this
Probably midi in
does it make any sense to buy this if i already have a korg volca keys? Do they make different noises? haha will they work great together?
Absolutely. I used to own a Volca Keys and they would pair up pretty nice I feel. Thanks for watching.
🤘👽🤘
Where did you go? Hope you're doing OK.
Doing OK, thanks. Recently started a new job and had to focus on doing well as it’s a more demanding position than my previous post.
how to set it up in logic?
Sorry, not a logic user. Maybe someone else can help
would you recommend me new sampler without pads?
This vs korg DIY synth ?
Never tried the new Korg. Maybe someone else can contribute?
Korg diy is excellent as an FX unit. Much lesser as a synth though imho. An excellent pair 🙂
Modal has no MODALS... No feedback no info no stickers no LOVE! GREAT SYNTH but no marketing at all.
I think they're doing their best: really focused on the engineering side of things!
I have a Modal Craft Synth 2.0 t-shirt and a sticker the size of the synth..
When I email them, they respond in 2-3 days and I email them almost every week.
