I have the original P7 and it's a good torch, when you do a torch review get outside at night and show people its true potential in the dark, torch reviews in doors just doesn't work, show us there light.
+Furball Reviews Hi, thanks for the recommendation! I bought one, and you're quite right, it's an excellent little torch, perfectly suited to work such as Policing.
maybe its too late to reply but, i got one of em from a friend of mine whos a copy they issue those to the police here in austria, and ive used it ever since, because i work by night and outside, its very very useful
I can't see any extra illumination from my p72 claimed brighter to t7m both have the red colour in reflector both same new batteries alkaline. Australia. They are very durable and effective. Australia
I don't have this torch anymore, but as I remember it was just high-low-off. There is a newer version of this now, confusingly just called the p7... No idea why they didn't call it the p7.3! That has more power (400ish lumens), and maybe they have introduced a hold feature?? Sorry I can't be of more help, don't know why I ever got rid of it tbh...
Could you show how to unscrew the lens part and then put it back on? I’ve taken mine off and now it won’t screw back on? Also I cannot unscrew the battery compartment, it’s stuck fast, I think the batteries may have leaked 😔
The front part should go back on as easily as it came off? I don't have this torch anymore as I had a leaky battery mess mine up :( all I can suggest is to make sure you line it up as good as possible in case it is cross threading.
Furball Reviews hi thanks for the reply. I’d forgotten that one part must be put on from the bottom and slid down the handle, then the lamp part screws into that. I was trying to attach both parts to the top end. Yes I’ve had same issue - the switch broke, they sent me a new one, but I can’t get the old battery compartment off. I think the batteries leaked and corroded the thread. Even tried using pliers, but can’t get that part off to replace it!
psyyke let me know how you get on. I’ve tried pliers, molex gloves, but the 2 parts are locked together. My brother-in-law has it now and is going to try using a vice to hold it then bigger pliers...
@@ntube7 I got it off. I didnt glue it, but i used a tiny flathead screwdriver covered with some electrical tape. i carefully twitched the battery compartment against the cover moving around couple of laps. Just need to be careful and have patience with it. The stuff from the old batteries works like a glue so it needs to crack and i used a vacuumcleaner to get the "dust" out couple of times. Took me under 10min and after cleaning the contactors it works just fine. Good luck! I hope you get it fixed. I seriously almost lost my mind with it :D
Yeah I was going to say, mine arrived yesterday and it was very tight trying to get the torch into the case! Do you know if the head of the torch goes into the case first?
+Ben Owen it fits better that way, but lense first makes more sense. I'm not sure if the hole in the bottom is to let light out while the torch is in the case, or to allow access to the button if the other way round? Maybe it's just there to let water out! :/ Do whichever you prefer I guess :)

Considering buying one of these for Police work, to replace the issued mini maglite. Do you think the P7.2 is robust enough for Police work?
Hi James, yes I do. Try one, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised!
Furball.

I like the red on off button!.......because after using it once,i like most people would clearly forget where the button was!.

+Dewi Hughes Thanks :)

Nice review, flood larger is useful. Can you recommend Led Lenser with big flood and lumen 450
I've just received a P7 2018 edition... Doesn't seem as bright as my old P7
Do you have to hold the button in for full power

@@ntube7 I have the exact same problem. Im going try use few drops of glue in the inner threads and hoping that works.. We´ll see how that goes..

How does the case that came with the torch work? I thought it looked a little small just to slide the torch into!
It is very tight, but elastic/stretchy. I would prefer it to be slightly bigger but at least you know your torch won't be going anywhere!

+Furball Reviews thanks for your help and for a great review
+Ben Owen thanks :) been meaning to make a few more. Haven't done a video for months!
Can it stand in vertical position as a candle?
Yes, you can unscrew the lens section and it will stand up as the button on the base is flat.
