Independent trucks and fat joints🤝my boy is high af 😂
Maybe now people can stop acting like I'm weird for putting 159s on a 8.5
STOKED we ride almost the same kinda truck!
169s are my favorite, and i take the top washer off, but i ride the 92a blue Indy bushings. No plastic ring gimmick necessary when the urethane is strong 😏 get the conical set for extra squirreliness 🤙🏾
I'm 360lbs, and it was the gr8st decision i ever made in 20yrs of sk8n. Turns and responds superfluid, and your bushing duzn't get chewed up from the washer digging into it.
Funny thing is that i took them out on a whim because I got tired of hearing my washer clink when i would carve. I highly recommend y'all try it, maybe w/ a harder bushing, and stop cranking your kingpins down so much. ✌🏾✌🏾
if you havent try a 94a bottom conical 92a top. A full 94a set is too much in transition its too slashy for the back truck and comes off lip way too stiff for flow. As they break in and get older the 94a bottom imo feels better than a broken in 92a bottom. I just couldnt skate the full 94a set to soften/break in the top bushings too hectic some of the launches off a hip/gap.
@@anhiirr I GET THAT, cuz when i start to sk8 tranny more, i DOES get squirrely str8ening out. I might try that cuz i've got some 94s laying around somewhere. Peep game 💪🏾💪🏾
GOOD DUDE RIGHT THERE, I WISH NOTHING BUT THE BEST FOR HIM.👍
Anyone else do 8.5 deck with Indy 169s (or any 9.125 inch axle)?
i rode that for years. i recently just moved up to an 8.75 board with 169s but after this i might go back to 8.5
@@paris2920 do you find that the 8.5 is lighter gland easier for flip tricks?
Danny Way on Mega
Riley Hawk used to some years back but now he rides an 8.6 with 149s or something
i used to ride an 8 with 169's for years then this past 3 years i've been riding anywhere from 9 to 10.5 deck. its not about tricks its about having fun
Those bushings look different
Yay, they look orange 😊👍
Looks like their aftermarket bushings(his trucks are worm out). I swap mine consistently, I don't like them completely broken in.
Def the zero washing making the bushings look taller and dirtier
161 👀wow!! Can we get Jaakko next!!
Those are some of the reddest eyes I've seen on a Pro, strengthen em ankles kids! My dude!
Love the last name script on the deck based off the Rainier Beer logo.
can we have grant taylor next?
Yo Alexis, the setup is tight bro!!!
actually loose
I’m so bummed I got my second pair of Indy’s this year and the second pair the hangers were bent. Not the hanger part the AXLE. One wheel is facing down. So bummed since they moved to CHINA. I never rode any other truck in my 35 years of riding INDYS. now. I’m thinking of changing.
venture lows
Im gonna try some 169’s on a 8.5 board
Im riding my 169s on a 9.5 board
I'm riding 169 Forged Hollows on a 8.75 popsicle and it's fits perfectly
Seriously my favorite skater… SOTY 23 💨💨💨
Emerica? 😮😮
Just got the 166s Stage 4s. Hyped.
Because i love the 169s
When I skate I wanna skate like this
Yeah I love this guy's style
I remember getting Indys in the Philippines in 1987. Had to wait a month for my board to ship from CCS. 1st board got lost. They sent me a new one. Lost one showed up a month later. They were $100 back then 😂 I was 13 yrs old and cried and begged my dad. I skated different board throughout my 13 yrs of skating str8 but always had Indys and spitfires. Best days of my sober life. I'm sober 35yrs later and miss that I quit. I have a coworker that still skates from my era. I've been looking at boards the last few weeks 😂
Bring back the iron cross logo. Stop being woke independent.
Hell yeah brother I love the iron cross!
bushings do not support. I also use it without the top washers... it will be necessary to constantly replace it Really good bushings are missing for skaters who ride really loose trucks
Damn 9.125 trucks on an 8.5 deck? That's wild!
Yeah, that’s crazy
Honestly they don't look like 169 to me, more like 159... I mean they stick out, but 169 should stick out a lot.
@@dovel9149 I hear ya
I did that a few times. It's wild. Not my preferred truck to board ratio but it has its perks. Stable af and awesome for bowl and slappies. 8.25 w 159s is goated
@@dovel9149 I thought the same. But in the last shot you can actually see the 169 stamp.
can we please get a grant my indys? thats long over due
I know this dude from way back with Drewsdays Let's Go Skate, if you know you know

How tall is this dude. 169 + 8.5 looking like an 8" setup hahah
I definitely am going to start riding looser trucks so I can strengthen my ankles . Fs

The style of that setup is built different than the other previous one
TRUCKS GOTTA BE A BIT NARROWER THAN BOARD
NO WAY, a lil wider, so the wheels perfectly match the edge.
the speed and control i have from going to 159s and venture 6.1s on 8.38 is pretty nice. You lose a couple fliptricks/switch tricks but as you get older you tend to favor more transition and speed if/when possible. I recommend anyone to try 8.38 with 159 indys/conical bushings, or venture 6.1s. With wide contact patch wheels. I might try 169s with a 8.62 ngl ive had my eyes on 8.62 for a while.
Its all preference, no solid rule. I like the wheels sticking out too, feels like your flip tricks pop higher too.
8.1"

@@anhiirr😂😂😂😂😂😂
I agree ❤or match the axel to the deck but never bigger axel than deck for me at least 😂 wheels poppin out 😂 Tommy Sandoval rides 7.6 trucks on a 8.125. ❤
I can't wait to lock in pinches down round rails like that. Gotta heal the knees first.
I hope u can give ur rundown on that situation? How's handling it?
