Has he ever done a bad review on anything????
Every single piece of gear can't be incredible.......
Do I say "everything's incredible"? Because I really don't remember saying that, I really use the word incredible in videos… but what I do remember saying is, if something sucks, or I just don't get it and can't get a sound out of it - I send it back. If I can get anywhere from what I consider to be a good to great tone out if something, then I will make a video. See how easy that is? Hope you feel better.
Is it that time of the month?
It’s a situation of “why show off something I don’t approve of?” If you disliked a piece of gear, why advertise it, even just to rag on it? It’s still publicity for the product, and will lead to someone buying it regardless of what you may say about it sucking. Most gear youtubers do this
Show me another box that does what this does. He picked it because it's a unique entry into the world of guitar processors
I think Pete was accurate in his analysis. There's a tightening of the bottom end, and a crispness added to the top end. I also noticed the addition of a chainsaw / 2-stroke character added to the distortion...like the Les Paul through Marshall grind. This added a clarity, which he did mention. I think there's a little more to this unit than some may admit. In other words, it's a secret weapon. 😊 There's definitly tasteful compression and EQ. I like the fact that there are switches and knobs you can tweak. People that use high Gain amps might not necessarily want this, but it could very well add that magic thickening that they have been looking for. Thickening. 🤘
I cant turn off a Pete Thorn video. Literally.
I literally just di

Always enjoy your videos! Loved the Steve Morse style lick right before the end!
You, Michael, and Leon are the top three intro song creators. In no particular order. Awesome.
Nice product demo and playing, always enjoy Pete's creative side with these cool sounding instrumentals for the videos.
Bad ass rockin' intro Pete!!! That box sounds awesome
Now this is awesome kit I’m ordering directly. Thanks for this one Pete.
Man... really cool responsive tones outta that box with lots of variety. Diggin it.
Woot woot!
More Analogwise!
Love Adam's pedals, such a great dude. I have somewhere around a dozen of them and counting. Lots of reused and recycled parts.
They are works of art and engineering. They sound so so so good. And unique. They sound great; they don't sound typical or common.
All of his pedals have a great feel under the fingers, are super responsive to picking dynamic and guitar volume and tone controls, and they maintain clarity and string separation even at very high gain...and such a variety of rich harmonics flying around when you play them. Just glorious.
Not affiliated, just a hudge fan. I'm so glad Analogwise is getting some love from the big reviewers.
As always, great tune. And great tone too ! Love the May-like tones. Thank you.
Excellent video as always. Definitely going to try that tuning- sounds killer.
Great tones Pete!
Killersound as always from Mr Thorn.
Excellent playing too, buddie 👍
I heard a Beatlely vibe with the Top Hat on that cleanish picking part, very cool! Great video can't wait to explore that tuning! Thanks Pete!
Don’t for get Rory was a big treble booster man too! Your sound is amazing… gave me GAS ! Looking at some of the other offerings too! Love your content! Keep it coming! ❤
Again! Just your intro mix knocks it out of the park, all the colors blending in! Nice tones, always well explained! What an interesting time for guitar players... so many routes and choices... but nothing sounds as good as when it's in your hands!
Sounds really a step above a lot of other demos even from yourself. Good stuff!
Pete! Some awesome harmonic ideas, great GREAT melodies. I love it. Sounds fresh.
Thanks for listening!!!
Gee thanks Pete, I pretty much want to buy one of everything they make. Such awesome looking aesthetics.
Great guitar playing Pete Thorn
Looks cool. Thanks Pete.
There's only so many UTuber guitarists that really make me feel like playing guitar. Pete's definitely one of the them.
Wow great demo. I don't know if I can use this but, wheels are turning! Very Vai sounding to my ears. Thanks for more inspiration.
Sick rhythm tone at the beginning Pete.
Too good! The Freerange is pretty cool as well. 🤘🏼
Perfect! I don’t really care which widget Pete is demonstrating - I just love listening to him play.
Monster Tones Pete!!
Cool device- great sounds and playing!
Awesome skills Pete. Wish I could play that well.
The songs you do always have interesting modulations and unexpected directional changes. Always cool. ✌️
The only think cooler than that Preamplifuzzer is Pete's playing. So good, so inspiring and so lovely.
Thank u!
“Big, fat corpulent tones.” I don’t know what that means, but take my money.
@@seankinnaman9384 Yes! hahaha
Ordered mine, just got. It is a great addition to my studio arsenal.
My favorite thing on this whole shebang is that wacky tuning on the Ibanez Explorer. Isn’t it inspiring when a master visits something unknown or unfamiliar, makes killer riffs out of it, and later admits no idea about it other than the song he wrote from it. I find that comforting, like it levels the playing field because we can all go to that square one the same way he did no matter where we are with our ability. Well, maybe. . . but Great stuff sir.
Wow, that pedal is really powerful for matching guitars with Amps. Great video Pete.
Friggin Awesome music example brother ✊🏽 Wow ❤
I have the DROP DED hybrid fuzz from Analogwice Pedals, I love it. Also the Knifes Out pedal is great. I really like the quality of pedals from Analogwice Pedals. They sound amazing.
Sounds awesome 👏
Wow spectacular playing pete
Many thanks!!
Thank you so much. That was a great presentation. :-) (/from Germany)
OMG that black sparkle Suhr though
OMG yes. What model is that black sparkle Suhr?
Have had this pedal for a while. Super cool.
Also check out other Analogwise pedals. His drive circuits are always really nice and a bit different from everything else out there.
Playing is always tasty. That sparkly black strat is amazing
I love the pun in the title, Pete! Totally hilarious!
Almost as good as the riffs and technique…. Not quite, though. I never get tired of your rocking intro riffs!
Seeing Ibanez on the headstock of that Destroyer is such a refreshing change of pace...
I'm glad they are getting some love. I've been a fan for years. Have 3 of their pedals. Check out the Pocket Rocket. Bang for buck hard to beat.
Great sound and playing as well.
Thanks!
Your tone in this video is crazy good!
Thanks!
Loved the song.
Everything about the intro sounds amazing.
Thanks!
Adam makes some seriously amazing pedals, and is a great dude in general!
I highly recommend the Pocket Rocket drive to anyone looking for a unique new drive. It goes from a subtle boost to pretty gnarly fuzz, is crazy loud, and is packed into a handy small box that's easy to cram onto any pedalboard 💚
Excellent songwriting Pete.
I also admire the Ramones haircut.
Love the sound of the Explorer.
i think thats the best intro track so far. we need pete thorn 3!!!
Hi Pete, thanks for the video! Interesting product. On a side note, I am curious about your guitar tuning for this demo... You mentioned that you're not really used to playing this particular tuning, so it made me wonder if you occasionally pick a random tuning to see where it takes you creatively, or if there was a specific reason why you decided to go with this tuning on this particular video. Thanks again!
There's a pedal version with bypass for those that need it. Pretty cool sounding box.
Sold out in one day after a Pete Thorn video. Saw they have a pedal format version too.
Love Germanium based stuff. This could be just the ticket in the loop set pretty much flat AFTER the amp models on the Helix but before the IR to add some character maybe.
Love when you play the Destroyer
Sweet Suhr ❤
Pete freakn Thorn!
You rock bro
Best damn product demos, if I had a product to sell I'd be begging you to demo it. LOL!
Is that a drop D type gadget on your Floyd, and is it a floating trem? Keen to know more about that config you have there Pete.
Killer as usual 🎸
I love that Ibanez. I've never seen one anywhere else but here.
Eddie and Ace!
Dude, I want one of these!
Sounds surprisingly like the treble boost circuit on my Roland AF-100 Bee Baa.
Great for home studio/practice. I never understood the purpose of boxes that can do so many things except be selected on the fly.
That was awsome 👍
I’m addicted to Pete and pineapple pizza. Both are Fantastic❤
Oh wow! You used the Top hat ..... I wish I had one ... my Fave
Pete is the best!
Aside from the sound, I also like the look of it too. I think a product should appeal to as many senses as possible. Should sound good, look good, and feel good in the hand to use.
so cool unit! They even got some hipster to review the pedal and publish on their website! Can't wait, to hear :)
man i love that guitar is it old or new?
What’s funny is I definitely don’t need this but I’m such a sucker for cool ‘sit on top of the amp’ gear that I want to
Pretty dynamic unit. I wonder how this would sit in an effects loop?
Either way it sounds like a great tool for tone and as usual I get a nice permagrin while watching Pete dig into a piece of gear and he understands sound engineering enough to fairly represent things. For example I disliked the Celestian A type speaker in every demo except his and figured that everyone else had to compare them at the same amp eq setting and that speaker sure needs the right amp, guitar, tone stack or eq settings, if not combined with another type of speaker. I would have probably not bothered with an A type if not for Pete's review.
Big fan of germanium. Bigger fan of Pete's demos!
Thank u!
Dayum. Sounds phenomenal. Again. I love good quality guitar and bass gear and I gotta admit that you have introduced me to many exciting new toys here. Thanks for that. :)
Thank u!
That old Ibanez sounds amazing. Jeez
Brian May was Influenced and mentored by Rory Gallagher on how to get the tone from the Vox AC 30's and using the treble boost with his amps (FYI nerd stuff) cool video always great playing!
Can I ask, what speakers do you use for your demos? Or is it the Ox? Super curious. Love your demos though, give me a very clear idea and I have ordered several bits after seeing your reviews of them and loved them all, so thanks for that.
They are old late 70's blackback G12M in a late 70's Marshall 1960A cab
To be honest, the only reason I'm here is that Ibanez. So jealous... Great vid Pete!
So it's like a double barrel Bobby buster that can throw out dust and clean it out at the same time wow cutting the mustard how cool
dude that was a fn tasty jam!
I installed 9 Rangemasters in one pedal. I used a *HD15 (SVGA) 2-Way Manual Switch Box* and it actually had a heavy duty 9 position rotary switch even though only four are used. So anyway, this heavy duty ceramic switch has literally enough terminals on each position for two transistors and a capacitor. On 9 separate positions! So you basically build your Rangemaster Treble Booster, or even a Fuzz Face or Tone Bender, and wire the OUTPUT of the 9-pos/ one out switch to the circuit, then you can assemble many different transistor varieties as well as capacitor varieties. Ask me about a two component induction bias circuit for the Rangemaster, I'll explain if you want. Easy hookup/ bypass.
Hell yeah Man!
For anyone who'd prefer this in a pedal format, that's available too. It really is a wonderful sounding, very cool looking & very useful piece of kit. I use it in front of a big old Orange head & it's the filthiest sound I've ever heard.
nigel tuffnel hair
Very interesting
That one even looks expensive. I’m afraid to even check the price😩. Great review as always.
It’s a good thing I have no money, cuz if I had money and still watched Pete Thorn I would have no money.
Pete rockin' the Oasis hair style... Is that a hint for his next gig? 🤣🤣
I am a true believer in the notion that the the best overdrive almost always comes from a great all tube amp. I'm not into external devices that provide the overdive. Generally I don't like their sound. But THAT thing is TASTY!
Very Tony Iommi-esque tones!
No matter how many times you twiddled the knobs while talking the sound didn’t change. Are you sure it was switched on?
🤘This is somewhat of a nerdy question for you Pete. I am curious about how this pedal compares to the Klon Centaur. The Analogwise Pedals website states that this pedal is "…built around vintage, new old stock germanium transistors." I have read that Bill Finnegan the creator of the Klon Centaur claimed that the only diodes he ever used were Russian-made diodes so I am wondering if the "vintage" germanium transistors used in this pedal could the same or very closely similar to those that were used in the Klon Centaur. Any thoughts? See you on Sunday Live! Cheers! 🤘
Super different. Klon is way more of a smooth OD, or can be a fat boost but this is more of a treble boost or colored full boost, that can be a fuzz too. Klon is not really nasty or fuzzy
You had me at skanky p90
Sweet ibanez
That pedal is almost as cool as Pete's haircut!
Dude, your HAIR hearkens back to an era
😂😂😂😂 genuine lol and you're not wrong
@@PeteThorn Love you man! Glad I made you laugh.
Dang Pete. Just keep playing. People tell me why I would rather listen to Pete riffing than modern music?
Yeah, Pete’s the real deal
