- The Shelby GT500 is in its final year of production on the S550 platform from Ford. On the outside of the Heritage Edition you will find a color that dates back to 1967 which was the first year of the Shelby GT500. On the inside there are Recaros, and digital gauge display. Under the hood is a 5.2L supercharged V8 pumping out 760HP & mated to a 7-speed DCT. Is the 2022 Ford Shelby GT500 Heritage Edition the BEST Mustang ever built?

I looked at one of these (with the carbon fiber pack) at a nearby dealer. It’s gorgeous, but literally anything after second gear is into felony territory here in New England. Not to mention our potholes - hit one and that’s a $20k mistake with those carbon wheels.
Of course the dealer also wanted $80k over MSRP, but that’s beside the point 😂 Keep up the awesome work on the channel!

I have the pleasure of driving a GT500 on a track one day. I'm no race car driving but I was giving it my all. I also drove a Lamborghini Huracan and a new Corvette. My fastest lap was in the gt500

I have a 2023 Mustang GT on order. While I'm happy and thrilled about that....the GT500 will always be my ultimate dream Mustang.
We have the painted stripes and the carbon fiber track package. Love your presentation 👍 ours is not reved or driven ......yet👍

The seats are not Alcantera but rather a product called Miko suede, produced in Italy unlike the steering wheel that is Alcantera wrapped. Great video and lots of terrific information 👍

Incredible machine ….my buddy owns Evolution performance in Aston pa where they love these things ….his personal one goes 8.40 at 170 in the quarter ands it’s fully streetable ….the sound of them is amazing !!!!

This gen GT500 may go down as my favorite car of all time and as another Paul from Michigan, I'd be honored to win this car.
I think the perfect spec for this car whould be in a green or red with black duel racing stripes. Also it needs the carbon fiber wheels as well.

I was smiling the entire time you got on throttle! “ON THROTTLE HERE WE GO YEAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!” There’s rumors that a s650 gt500 is coming and it’s rumored that it’s going to have the megazilla 7.3 liter v8. I’m thinking it’s going to be supercharged but I’m not entirely too sure if it’s going to have a manual.
It’s going to be great to see what happens.

Always loved the GT500 but always wanted it to be slimmer. Am not a big fan of the bulky look. The S197 was perfect it looked more agile imo. Less weight. They need to seriously go back the S197 weight and look. Maybe try the Guigaro Concept for the next platform.
