regarding about the leg to hip ball joint. Use the included polycaps from the metal frame kit. It is tighter and more appropriate for the metal pegs. It will hold that lifted leg tight up.
I think the runners in the metal parts set are made from POM plastic or something like that(POM is a stronger plastic than PS). I think it's to make the pieces stronger for it to handle the metal parts because I think over time the polystyrene from the original kit will degrade because of the strong metal joints
Either way you go with the plastic, you'll still have the same fitment issues with the pegs. Thank you for explaining the pom plastic. I honestly didn't know that. I've had the original parts in it for a while, and they seem to be holding up fine... I don't play with my kits, lol. I do wish the pom plastic finish was nicer though.
Same problem tho,i got this metal frames and a bandai hi nu gundam and tried POM from the metal frame kit and PC pieces from bandai's original kit, both are bad when applied on the metal frames, especially the legs and the side chest, only the waist and arms are solid but they're just as solid as the original frame's,after all that i just sold the entire kit+metal frames cause im frustrated with the entire thing, nit worth the money (i did use glue/paint to tighten it to no avail)
The frames for hinu resin kits usually end up needing to be altered so keep that I'm mind if you are planning on using this metal set. You will have to cut the metal parts to fit the resin kit. Also it should restock soon.
I understand why of course, but it sucks that these companies are making stuff for more hyped kits instead of stuff that could use it, like the Exia metal frame was a game changer.

It may be a case by case basis too. I ended up just using joint guard to thicken my connection

honestly for a third party kit that was very minimal amount of adjustments to fit and adapt to the plastic on the kit. Not bad at all.
Agreed!!! 100%
Cool 👍 a top cost and maybe repaint would make it pop 🤩
Bro, what's the name of the turntable you use? I always looking for one. Great channel, subscribed! ❤
It's a fotoconic electric turntable off Amazon. Thank you!
Of course this sells out right before i start working on the Hi Nu resin kit

@@GunplaJoey yeah the YJL needs to use the plastic leg parts. I dont think the Fortune Meow kit does though.
Oh shit. A GPJ video
Yea its been a minute lol. Life be like sometimes 😅
What company actually make these?
Dotworks and roast duck are the ones that I know of. This one particular is from roast duck.
@@GunplaJoeyDo they make one for the normal nu gundam?
I believe only for the hinu, but I could be wrong.
@@GunplaJoeyThanks, but can I use this one on the nu gundam? It's the same right?
@@GunplaJoeyI initially wanted to get the dot version but it doesn't have the metal thrusters and metal piston
