I enjoy it too! Well, I think we just feel that way with whatever is not available, cuz Testors is much harder to get in Korea than Tamiya, and Koreans like to use the metallic colors XD I think Testors metallics is better than Tamiya though!

I've been hand painting for decades, this is the most informative and demonstrative explanation of painting properties I've seen in the Gunpla world yet. Your part on the strengths and weaknesses of placing the paint was inspired, it's things you develop a knack for but never think to illustrate. Perfect. Your content continues to be totally amaze-balls.

It takes so much time to make these vids but comments like yours make it worth it! And my love is with Chaos!!! Cheers :)

I can't believe it, in the first 3 minutes you made clear something I was so confused about regarding paints; the deal with enamels and acrylics and paints and why painting over one was ok and painting over another was not, or why using x type of top coat was bad on x type of paint. No one ever explained exactly why! It makes so much sense now!! Thank you!!!

Only thing I do differently is use the paint lid as a palette. The mix ratio with just dipping the brush in thinner works great for doing fine detail painting! Enamels real make parts stand out. I really enjoyed your video I'm trying to hand paint some details on to model rockets I'm building but I'm a rookie. I did want to let you know that I work at an autobody and paint shop and that the mask you're using is for particulates and will not protect you from paint fumes or thinner vapors. Great video 👍

I have really learned a lot from your videos, I like how detailed/concise and you think of things I would have asked otherwise, you're videos have given me confidence to start painting, I really appreciate it, thank you

Nice!!! Clarifying any info that I need for Enamel hand painting. Never thought of using thinner to thinned them out when the paint got too thick. I was taught to just use them straight out of the cap.

Right! It's not immediately obvious that paints already contain thinner, hence we can mix the two. Well, I do use it just straight out of the cap too :) Thanks for your comment!

Thanks for the video! Im still a beginner to painting Gunpla (still working on my first model) I mostly use my airbrush but ive come acoss a few areas that I think hand painting would be beneficial. This is great information! I do use acrylics though. Just because I paint in my room so I don't have to worry as much about fumes. But I can already see how to improve on what ive done so far. Keep the videos coming!

Thank you so much for your comment and sharing! I absolutely use acrylics too cus it's not smelly and convenient when I need quick fix ups.

What are your preferences for topcoats on Tamiya acrylics, would testors gloss lacquer be too harsh? I'm looking for a sturdy top coat that will stand up to washes, weathering, and general protection when posing / handling a kit (gunpla)?

I sprayed lacquer over acrylic after it's fully dry and as a tacky coat only first. I'm not fussy w topcoat, but matte is better for weathering, eats up the paint better, but you can't erase it with enamel thinner XD In the weathering video on my channel, Kughee top coated with a matte coat before all the weathering.
