Actually, it was sold to The Sazerac Co., a few years ago. I know where to find the Early Times Whisky and the current Early Times Whisky with Natural Flavors, in the New Orleans area.
Right off the bat, I love the sigh when Ben says “Early Times’. I wish I could get BiB here. I can only get the water you guys just reviewed. 😜 Greg - “I’m getting a note, it’s nowhere near bourbon” 🤣. Ben- “the guy from the roller coaster comes up and punches you in the face, then DOESN’T start the ride! 😂🤣 Greg- “it’s black tea that’s been Mia-marketed. 🤣. I know I missed a few, but the one liners were rollin today fellas! Great video. Cheers Guys! 🥃🪓
Early times in Dr. Pepper.
I hate to admit it, but I’m having a hard time lately enjoying 80 proofers, with slight exceptions. I didn’t used to consider myself a proof hound, but just like size, proof matters! I kinda don’t like that I feel that way, but I just have a hard time getting into a really low proof bourbon. I probably need to take a couple of weeks and drink nothing but sub 90 proof and see if I can turn the ship a bit.
Cheers,
David
Totally agree. 80 is just too low at this point.
That note is the city water they cut it with.
Lmao ew bruh, ther is a strange note to early times, and your comment is making me rethink buying early times lol
I bought it tonight. Not impressed. I'm a beam guy who's out with a new company. So went cheap..11.52 for a liter. Won't be my go to but it does work after 4 healthy pours
Probably better for a mixer...
@@TheBourbonNote nope it's not
I'm very thankful for this video. i have extreme FOMO for the ET BIB that I can't find in Minnesota and was kind of assuming this was the same stuff proofed down to 80. Now thankfully I don't have to make the mistake of buying this. I assume Ben gifted the bottle to Greg immediately after the filming of this video.
Ha! He wouldn't take it!
They had this stuff at the gas station on clearance for 82 cents for 100ml bottles😂. I got a couple of them to try. And it actually wasn’t as bad as I expected. But I won’t pay more than 82 cents for it lmao.. funny he said it has Lipton tea notes. I drank it with a diet soda and it made it taste like a sweet tea
82 cents is about right🤣
For the price it's not bad at all
If they would give it to me and I was out, end of month no paycheck ... yeah I'd drink it. Come payday, it becomes hand sanitizer.
i bought it the other day because it was 10 bucks. It doesn't taste like bourbon. Its just wrong. I cant put my finger on it. I'll never buy it again.
This one is best used for a cocktail that completely buries the taste of the whiskey!
Why do they keep comparing it to a bourbon?
it is not.
Because it's a blend of Bourbon and a Bourbon mashbill distillate aged in used casks.
@@TheBourbonNote My English is not good enough to be politically correct, so I'm going to be straightforward.
because they don't use new barrels, it's going to have less wood notes, but that's the same thing the scots and irish do.
because it is only 40, it will not be very complex. these 2 characteristics are not appreciated in a Bourbon, but in other whiskys do, you should compare it with that, with scotch and irish whiskies of 40 young and see the difference, especially for the mais that those whiskies don't have.
in other words you have to change the state of mind to appreciate early time has to be said.
