- Chicken Kabsa has been my favourite middle eastern rice dish ever since I tasted it the first time in Doha , Qatar . There are different styles of the same dish made in different ways by people from different regions in the GCC .
The kabsa recipe I’m sharing with you is my absolute favourite and i tried to recreate this dish which i tasted in a local Qatari kabsa restaurant. Try this recipe I am sure you will love this recipe as much as I do.
This is a must try dish in Qatar when you visit this beautiful country I’ve called home for many years.
ARABIAN CHICKEN KABSA is a simple one pot recipe thats delicious, nutritious and easy to make too. This Arabian chicken and rice recipe is a perfect no fail chicken Kabsa recipe . Arabian Chicken Kabsa (better than hotel )Kabsa is a chicken and rice main course dish that is popular not just in Saudi Arabia but across the Arab world.Chicken Kabsa Saudi dish is a very popular middle eastern rice dish that is served with a special sauce which is also called shatha . Ingredients used to make the Arabian Chicken Kabsa ( better than hotel )
Chicken - 750 gms.
Oil - 1/4 cup
Butter-1tbsp
Onions - 2
Garlic -5 cloves
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder -1tsp
Cumin-3/4 tsp
Curry powder / baharat arabic spice mix - 1 tsp
Black pepper powder -3/4 tsp
Red Chilli powder- 1 tsp
Cardamom 2
cinnamon sticks -1 stick
cloves 3
dried lemon 2
bayleaf -2
salt to taste
bell peppers cut into squares-1
Tomato -1large
Tomato paste- 2 tbsp
Basmati rice - 2 cups

I always eat kabsa when i was in jeddah saudi arabia....also i love the way of cooking chicken ...they grill on the stone after grilling they put it on the top of kabsa rice....very delicious.....i never forget.....i miss saudi arabia....

Kabsa chicken. So tasty and cheap. I used to love the Kabsa they made in the local restaurant. Half a chicken, bread and rice: 15SAR. Fantastic!

I tried this dish just now, instead of oven I sauté chicken on tawa to bring golden brown color. It is delicious too.

I think it is easy if we memorize how to distinguish difference in ingredients in a Mediterranean Cuisine.
Almost all recipe are the same it just have minus or plus ingredients. and also different styles and technique, basically add some ingredients to this and u can make biryani.
