      @@thydog Not even close, his 501 almost came to a stoping point, but above all remember 501 happened at peak strenght; this is 5 weeks out. In comparisson Thor was not lifting this heavy until 470KG 2 weeks before 501. Not to mention he is 15KG lighter right now.

    • @thydog
      @thydog 17 днів тому

      @antoniocenteno1483 did u watch his 501kg lift? if u watch it side by side with this lift, he pulled almost the exact same speed if not faster from his 501kg, his 501kg speed off the floor is faster and the Lockout was better too, go back and watch again, yes he is lighter now but nobody cares, ppl only cares about the what is the weight on the bar

    • @thydog
      @thydog 16 днів тому

      @antoniocenteno1483 as u said its different cycle, means 460 shouldn't moving this hard which is the same as his 501, I'm not saying it's impossible for him to pull 505 but what looks like it now he is not near to his best strength cycle period. And yea no playing it in your head is coping, I have watch his 501 lift and this lift side by side and it looks the same if not his 501 Lockout and speed off the floor is actually slightly faster, hence visually the effort is almost the same but 40kg lighter .
      but who knows what is he feeing when he is actually lifting the 460kg and ppl may possibly have dramatic strength changes once they are peak too (end of training cycle) so not saying there is no chance at all

Now I have no clue what it takes to lift 500 but since eddies process is so well documented it’s the only thing I have to compare. And this 460 doesn’t look like a 460 that can ramp up to 505. People here obviously don't understand much of a strength training. One needs to peak, fine tune the body and have a proper feed and rest so you get full ATP stores up and your CNS is fresh. Also probably he's not in a training cycle to break it now, but it's good to stay in touch with the weight closer to it, so your body is used to the stress. Still good lift, even though it looked almost as his 501 lift RPE. Definitely can do it, if he peaks well, and we all know Thor knows how to do it.

      The thing is, you can never get an idea from training pulls. The peaking time is a small window and these guys peak few times a year maybe. See how strong graham hicks looked in the training and then he got obliterated in the competition? He was so much worse in the competition, because he peaked at the wrong time.. Thor is smart with it and he could definitely do it, it just matters, if he peaks at the right time. Mitch is really good for peaking as well, cuz he's not going 100% in his training (that's a different style that not everyone uses) and he doesn't have to recover that much usually. He was almost ready to pull that 505 the last time, because he was healthy and almost strong enough without training specifically to break the record. Graham most likely got injured in the process from so many early big pulls and things like nervous system gave him trouble as well.
