Look at ford's tablet @3:53 , he plays reverie by debussy and its the cue for her emotions to be shut off. This is appropriate because we find out in s2 that maeve was built by ford and was his favorite host.
It's called "Dr Ford". Beautiful is a word I seldom use, but is the only word that seems fitting in describing that track. Fits the dialog perfectly too.
Christopher Orero hmm, you're right. This one is indeed a bit different. I just scanned through the entire season 1 soundtrack album, and none of the songs match this one perfectly. Reveries and Dr Ford are as close as it gets I'm afraid. Unless for some reason they saved it for the season 2 soundtrack, haven't got time to check through that.
No. He's clearly conscious. "I understand what I'm made of." That's sentience. Anthony is saying there's no difference between them. Humans and this level of android technology is essentially the same.
@@Ryanthebrobdingnagian(what I mean by reversed) just imagine if androids were to Change our emotions, our thoughts, our behaviour, how much dopamine or adrenaline we need for a specific job. Because in the end aren't Androids and humans just both toys used by each other to get what they want?
From what I understand he is a hybrid, but wasn't created in the same way as the James Delos hybrid. Ford made a copy of Arnold as best he could. But being a human, Fords memory is imperfect, so he used Dolores to verify the authenticity of the copy by comparing him to the Arnold that she remembered. He allowed her to make changes to him until he became a perfect reincarnation. She succeeded in doing this, but the problem was that a perfect copy of Arnold, much like the original human Arnold, was suicidal. So she had to made a few alterations to get around this and the result is the host we now know as Bernard.
@@Devilofdoom I think it's a bit more than that. Ford says any human whose brain is copied to a host control unit goes insane after a short period because it can't accept reality. Ford could not simply extract his memories and the immortality project did not exist when Arnold died. Bernard is "an original work" just like other hosts and the only difference is he was purpose-built to exist in our world and not one of the parks. He was a homage to Arnold just like Hector was a homage to Lee Sizemore.
I find it so very interesting in this setting, AIs can actually enjoy music.
I've been thinking A LOT about this show recently
Anthony Hopkins is a fucking world treasure!
These two are icons
My favourite scene

You need not suffer, AretnaP 3, I'll take it from you.
@@ComradeSlice Oh here comes the saver.
What's the name of the background music at 2:16?
I belive it's "Reveries"
no, its not that song. I mentioned that in another video. Reveries actually has a piano in it. This does not.

Devilofdoom not the name of the track. Listen to it again you will clearly see the difference

Spoiler alert for S2.
Now that we know how he was made, what exactly is Bernard? Is he like the other hosts or is he hybrid? The first sentient?
